Abstract

This study is attempted to analyze metaphor in Bob Marley’s selected lyrics; entitled Redemption Song and Buffalo Soldier. The problems of the study are 1) what types and meanings of each metaphor found in Bob Marley’s selected lyrics? 2) How those metaphorical expressions intensify slavery resistance as the content of the songs? The aim of this research is to find out the types of metaphors used in those lyrics and to understand the meanings of words, phrases or sentences contained the data. To achieve the objectives of the study, I used qualitative descriptive research and semantics as the approach in order to interpret the meanings. I collected the data from the songs lyrics, then classified them into types of metaphor. Based on the theories provided, the data were analyzed one by one to know the types of metaphor used and the meaning of them. Metaphorical expressions found mostly in the songs lyrics are structural metaphor and ontological metaphor. In the beginning, the metaphorical expressions were explained in their literal meanings, so they could show the influence of using metaphor in the phrase or sentence. Through songs lyrics as the object of my analysis, it could be concluded that those songs lyrics generally contained metaphorical expressions.

Abstract

Aqidah is the main aspect of Islamic teachings preached by the Prophet Muhammad. This is clearly visible in the Prophet's main mission to spread Islam in Mecca. The Aqidah aspect is an issue that is quite important than the Sharia and is clearly visible in the Qur'an which explains a lot about faith. After the death of the Prophet Muhammad, the Islamic community experienced a split in several sects, namely after the death of Caliph Usman bin Affan and after the murder of Ali Bin Abi Talib. The sects in Islam emerged because of the many different thoughts of figures, for example thoughts about the power of Allah and human will, the position of revelation. and reason, God's justice. And in the end various sects emerged such as Jabariah, Qodariah, Shi'ah, Kkhuarij, Murjiah and others. This was said by the Prophet that the Islamic community would split into several groups. Qadariah is a sect founded by Ma'bad Al-Juhani, Gaila al-Dimasyqi, and the followers of Wasil ibn' Atha, Umar bin Ubaud, they believe that humans have freedom in their actions, where there are no demands or wills of God in their affairs. Some of these groups believe that human deeds or actions are not God's will And the background to the birth of genre Jabariah is still unclear. And the opinion of Abu Zahra says that this sect emerged from the time of the Companions and the time of the Bani Umayyh. At that time the ulama were discussing the issues of Qada, Qadar, and human power. This sect was founded by Jahm bin Afwan and Ja'ad bin Dirham. This research discusses sects or schools of Islam with conflicting thoughts, namely the idea of God's power over humans and the thought of Qada and Qodar. Because studying the meaning of these two schools is very important for us to be careful and be able to lead someone to strong-founded beliefs. The aim of this research is to address the wisdom of differences in thinking regarding Qoda and Qodar beliefs. The method used is the Leatherface Method by collecting sources from literature. The results of this research show that Muslims are no longer confused or lost with the teachings of deviant sects.

Abstract

The superiority of men over women often occurs because of the use of the Qur'anic argument in understanding the position of women in social life, including in their position as leaders. It can be observed and described in verse Qs. an-Nisa' verse 34. The keyword Qawwamuna is often used as an excuse and defense to explain the position of women in Islam. This happens not only in the vocabulary of verses, but also in the role of textual interpretation which forgets the context when this verse was revealed and the contextual conditions of life today. Qs. an-Nisa' verse 34 is often interpreted in contexts that are no longer relevant today. To gain a contextual understanding of "Qauwamuna" in Qs. an-Nisa: 34, researchers used Abdullah Saeed's contextual approach to the type of library research (library research). This study uses literature data (library). The main data (primary) is the work of Abdullah Saeed, namely: The 21st Century Al-Qur'an: Contextual Interpretation. The secondary data are works or writings that discuss Abdullah Saeed's contextual approach and also interpretations related to gender issues, especially those discussing Qs. an-Nisa: 34. This research produced several conclusions, including a): Abdullah Saeed's contextual interpretation methodology is a contemporary exegesis methodology that focuses only on the text of verses or the editorial verses of the Koran, but also focuses on understanding the context, (micro context, macro context, and context of social development, culture and current situation, b): Based on the analysis it was found that the words الرجل and النساء do not only refer to biology (male and female). This verse identifies the moral ideal of the Koran as a relationship of equals. With the development of today's context, both men and women have equal leadership potential.): Qs. an-Nisa:34 contains three values, namely: fundamental values, implementational values and instructional values. With this conclusion, this thesis will strengthen the role of gender interpretation studies on the one hand, and on the other hand will strengthen the importance of the paradigm of contextual interpretation of the Qur'an

Abstract

The implementation of religious moderation values in the midst of a multi-faith society in Kapuas Hulu Regency is important to strengthen harmony between religious communities. This regency is known for its high religious diversity so that in this context, multicultural Islamic religious education plays a strategic role in instilling the values of religious moderation. This study is included in the qualitative cluster by collecting observational data, interviews and documentation. In addition, researchers analyzed the data using data condensation, data display and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of religious moderation values in Islamic Religious Education in Kapuas Hulu Regency is very important to create a harmonious and peaceful society amidst diversity. Islamic Religious Education in Kapuas Hulu Regency has a strategic role in the implementation of religious moderation values, in the midst of a society that has high religious diversity. The values of religious moderation applied by the people of Kapuas Hulu Regency include a) tolerance, b) anti-violence, c) social justice and, d) inclusive attitudes so that they can make the people of Kapuas Hulu cooperate and respect each other. In addition, Kapuas Hulu Regency provides an understanding of the values of religious moderation through Islamic religious education such as a) religious tolerance education and b) understanding of religious moderation.

Abstract

Objective: To enhance public literacy and awareness about registering new halal brands and logos in order to ensure the halal status of a product and increase added value for entrepreneurs in producing and selling halal products. Maximizing and registering new halal brands and logos officially issued by the government will help boost the economy of the community, especially MSMEs. Method: The first step involves conducting surveys and consultations with relevant stakeholders, then educating and informing the public about the new logo and its application, as well as providing tutorials on how to implement the new logo. Results Trademark rights are an important part of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the world of commerce and serve as a tool to win competition in capturing the consumer market. Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) hold the key to differentiating similar goods and services and obtaining legal protection. Legal protection for trademarks is urgent and serves an economic function. The registration of the trademark is carried out considering the constitutive system. Ijtihad is needed for changes in the social life of the community, whether sudden or gradual.ABSTRAKTujuan Pengabdian: Meningkatkan literasi dan kesadaran masyarakat untuk mendaftarkan merek dan logo halal baru dalam rangka untuk menjamin kehalalan suatu produk dan meningkatkan nilai tambah bagi pelaku usaha untuk memproduksi dan menjual produk halal. Memaksimalkan dan mendaftarkan merek dan logo halal baru yang resmi dikeluarkan oleh pemerintah akan membantu meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat, khususnya UMKM Metode: Langkah pertama melibatkan melakukan survei dan konsultasi dengan pemangku kepentingan yang relevan, kemudian mendidik dan memahami tentang logo baru dan penerapannya kepada masyarakat, serta menyediakan tutorial tentang cara menerapkan logo baru tersebut. Hasil Hak merek adalah bagian Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI) yang penting dalam dunia perdagangan dan berfungsi sebagai alat untuk memenangkan persaingan dalam merebut pasar konsumen. Usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) megang untuk membedakan barang dan jasa sejenis dan mendapat perlindungan hukum. Perlindungan hukum terhadap merek adalah urgen, dan berfungsi ekonomis. Pendaftaran merek tersebut dilakukan mengingat sistem konstitutif. Ijtihad dibutuhkan perubahan kehidupan sosial masyarakat baik mendadak atau secara perlahan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji urgensi Kitab Risalah Aswaja bagi umat Islam pada masa kini. Kitab Risalah Aswaja merupakan salah satu karya penting yang menjelaskan ajaran Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah secara komprehensif dan sistematis, serta menjadi rujukan utama dalam memahami prinsip moderasi, toleransi, dan keseimbangan dalam beragama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis terhadap isi Kitab Risalah Aswaja serta relevansinya dalam kehidupan umat Islam saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kitab Risalah Aswaja memiliki peran strategis dalam meneguhkan akidah umat Islam sesuai manhaj Aswaja, membentengi dari pemahaman ekstrem, serta menumbuhkan sikap moderat dan toleran di tengah masyarakat multikultural. Selain itu, kitab ini juga menjadi pedoman bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam khususnya di lingkungan Nahdlatul Ulama dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keagamaan yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan kajian Kitab Risalah Aswaja secara berkelanjutan sangat penting dilakukan untuk menjaga keutuhan aqidah, persatuan umat, serta mengantisipasi tantangan ideologi transnasional di era globalisasi
