Abstract

The article describes and analyzes ta’lim ma’hadi in al-Hikam Malang Student Islamic Boarding School and the values implemented to develop the moderate character of the mahasantri religion. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data in this study were taken through interviews, observation, and document techniques. This study indicates that the al-Hikam Malang student boarding school uses three strategies in religious moderation, namely, nurturing patterns, teaching patterns, and religious patterns. The three strategies are integral in the curriculum that is implemented there. Through the applied curriculum, kyai and asatidz as qudwah hasanah internalize the values of justice, balance, harmony, moderation. As well as being a moderate Muslim, the mahasantri al-Hikam graduate is expected to become a successful entrepreneur.

Abstract

This article describes the richness of Indonesian culture as reflected in the diversity of natural resources, people, tribes, languages ​​and traditions. The focus is on the importance of traditional ceremonies as an integral part of people's lives, even though they are threatened with extinction if they lose their relevance. This research highlights the role of hereditary rules in preserving traditional ceremonies as well as the cultural mix between Islam and local traditions, as seen in the Sekaten ceremony. By examining the origins and purpose of the Sekaten ceremony, this article illustrates how Indonesia's cultural diversity creates a unique cultural heritage, combining elements of local culture with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The process of learning Arabic in Indonesia has yet to achieve satisfactory results. This is evidenced by the sincerity of the Arabic Teachers and Lecturers to be creative and continuously improve the learning process, by providing the existence of good and interesting learning media. Arobuna Program is one of the Arabic grammar learning media (qawaid) specifically designed for beginners in learning qawaid. Researchers tried to uncover the effectiveness of this program in learning Arabic grammar (qawaid) in PKPBA students of the Arabic Special Lecture Program) Faculty of Sharia UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This article aims to; (1) describe the advantages and disadvantages of the Arobuna program; (2) describe the procedures for using the Arobuna program; and (3) find out the learning effects arising from the presence of the Arobuna program. The data used in this study came from field observations and examinations. Researchers analyzed the data as it was proposed by Lexy Meleong. The results of this study indicate that; (1) Arobuna program used in the learning process of Arabic grammar (qawaid) on PKPBA students of the Faculty of Sharia UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang have advantages and disadvantages; (2) the Arobuna program in learning requires three steps namely preparation, planning and assessment; and (3) Students who have studied using Arobuna media have good Arabic language skills.

Abstract

Religious Moderation as a concept seems to have been accepted maturely, recognized and felt the need by the Religious Leaders of Blimbing District, Malang City. This Community Service Method uses Participatory Action Research (PAR). This assistance uses the PAR (Participatory Action Research) method, a research methodology that invites individuals and communities to actively participate by participating in activities in the same construction or facilities with the knowledge they have. In its implementation there are several stages, namely analyzing problems, preparing program planning, program implementation and program evaluation. Character education can be done early on in the majlis taklim, musholla, mosque and other social organizations. Qualitative studies are carried out with Focus Group Discussions related to the meaning of religious moderation in programs, strategies and implementation in society. The results of this community service show that (1) religious leaders in Blimbing, Malang City agree that religious moderation is important to be encouraged by every Muslim, (2) Religious Moderation is understood as a guide in interacting with fellow religions and between religions, and (3) Among the supporting factors for religious moderation are religious and state instructions and the challenges facing religious moderation are extremist groups and plural societies that require more intensive religious guidance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses penanaman nilai-nilai Aswaja An-Nahdliyah pada siswa MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin Tasikmadu Lowokwaru Malang. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dengan guru dan pengurus madrasah, serta dokumentasi kegiatan pembelajaran dan keagamaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman nilai-nilai Aswaja An-Nahdliyah dilakukan melalui pembiasaan dalam kegiatan keagamaan seperti tahlilan, istighotsah, pembelajaran kitab kuning, dan praktik amaliah NU yang terintegrasi dalam mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak serta Fikih. Selain itu, keteladanan guru dalam sikap moderat, toleran, dan tawassuth turut memperkuat internalisasi nilai Aswaja pada diri siswa. Faktor pendukung penanaman nilai Aswaja meliputi peran aktif guru, dukungan lingkungan pesantren sekitar madrasah, dan program sekolah yang konsisten. Sementara itu, faktor penghambatnya adalah latar belakang keluarga siswa yang beragam dalam pemahaman keagamaan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penanaman nilai Aswaja An-Nahdliyah di MTs Hidayatul Mubtadiin berjalan efektif melalui integrasi kurikulum, keteladanan, dan pembiasaan, sehingga membentuk karakter religius yang moderat pada siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji urgensi Kitab Risalah Aswaja bagi umat Islam pada masa kini. Kitab Risalah Aswaja merupakan salah satu karya penting yang menjelaskan ajaran Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah secara komprehensif dan sistematis, serta menjadi rujukan utama dalam memahami prinsip moderasi, toleransi, dan keseimbangan dalam beragama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis terhadap isi Kitab Risalah Aswaja serta relevansinya dalam kehidupan umat Islam saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kitab Risalah Aswaja memiliki peran strategis dalam meneguhkan akidah umat Islam sesuai manhaj Aswaja, membentengi dari pemahaman ekstrem, serta menumbuhkan sikap moderat dan toleran di tengah masyarakat multikultural. Selain itu, kitab ini juga menjadi pedoman bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam khususnya di lingkungan Nahdlatul Ulama dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keagamaan yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan kajian Kitab Risalah Aswaja secara berkelanjutan sangat penting dilakukan untuk menjaga keutuhan aqidah, persatuan umat, serta mengantisipasi tantangan ideologi transnasional di era globalisasi

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Arabic language learning and Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in developing students’ religious character at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadi’in Malang. The integration aims to harmonize linguistic competence with the cultivation of Islamic moral values, forming a comprehensive educational model that aligns cognitive and affective domains. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were gathered through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of curricular documents. The results show that Arabic language instruction when contextualized with Qur’anic verses, prophetic traditions, and Islamic terminologies strengthens students’ understanding of religious ethics, discipline, and devotion. Teachers integrate linguistic content with moral instruction, fostering both language proficiency and spiritual awareness. This integration produces a holistic learning atmosphere that contributes to students’ spiritual formation and reinforces Islamic character education within the school environment.
