Abstract

This study aims to examine the competence of Islamic Religious Education teachers in SMP Negeri 16 Kota Bandung in improving students' ability to read and write the Qur'an, factors that support and inhibit and solutions offered to improve the students' ability. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collected through observation, documentation and interview methods. Interviews were conducted with PAI teachers in SMP Negeri 16 Kota Bandung, amounting to 3 (three) people. The results showed that 1) the competence of PAI teachers of SMP Negeri 16 Bandung was realized by making learning plans in accordance with government instructions using the 2013 curriculum form; 2) the learning method used is with the wahdah bil kitabah method and the iqra’ method; 3) supporting factors for the implementation of PAI learning consisting of teachers, students, and the school environment; 4) Obstacles faced are the time of learning to read and write the Qur'an which is only 2 hours short, the lack of learning media to read the Qur'an and the background of the students; 5) The solution offered is the method of learning to read and write the must consider the characteristics of students and implementation of audio-visual learning methods.Keywords: Teacher Competence; Al-Qur'an Reading Literacy; Islamic Religious Education

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran harus tetap dilaksanakan kepada seluruh peserta didik sekalipun dalam situasi wabah pandemi. Pendidikan merupakan kunci utama dalam menyiapkan sumber daya manusia unggul untuk dapat bersaing di tingkat global. Pandemi covid 19 telah mengubah tatanan pendidikan dari semula tatap muka langsung di kelas menjadi proses pembelajaran dengan sistem belajar dari rumah (BDR). Pembelajaran di masa pandemi mengharuskan setiap pendidik, pemerhati pendidikan dan instansi terkait dengan pendidikan untuk merumuskan model dan metode pembelajaran yang tepat agar proses kegiatan belajar mengajar dapat berlangsung secara efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang kebijakan pendidikan di masa pandemi. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan sumber data diperoleh dari studi dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan pendidikan di masa pandemi dapat dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan; 1) metode pembelajaran daring, 2) metode pembelajaran luring.

Abstract

The emergence of radical understanding among students is allegedly an attempt by Islamic fundamentalists to carry out regeneration with the main target of intellectuals. For this reason, serious efforts are needed from the entire academic community to anticipate the development of radicalism on campus. Understanding the value of religious moderation to students is very important to build a moderate and polite student perspective and religious practice. This article aims to examine the implementation of the value of religious moderation in state universities to prevent radicalism through the integration of religious education materials. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Researchers collect data through observation and documentation studies by tracing various expert studies, online and offline newspapers, articles, and published scientific works related to research. Based on the results of the study it was found: there is an opportunity for students to be exposed to radicalism, the role of religious lecturers is very important in preventing radicalism on campus through the development of learning models of religious education, it is necessary to integrate the value of religious moderation with religious education
