Abstract

A firefighter is a task given by someone or a team to extinguish a fire that occurs when building a building. The officer took the danger of fighting the fire with a fire engine equipped with a water sprayer. Because of these dangers, a robot was made to help put out the fire. This research aimed to design a fire extinguisher robot using AT89S52 microcontroller as its controller. A DC fan controlled by a relay was utilized to extinguish the fire and a fire sensor (UV-Tron) was used to detect the presence of fire. The robot was driven by motor DC. It could detect the surrounding obstacles and possessed an ultrasound-based navigation system. If the ultrasound system detects an obstacle, the robot will automatically turn without colliding the obstacle or other things around it. The result of the research showed that the proposed fire extinguisher robot can detect fire as far as 5 meters and successfully extinguish the fire.

Abstract

Earthquake is a vibration  that occur on the surface of the earth, earthquakes are usually caused by the movement of the earth's crust (earth's plates). Earthquakes are also used to indicate the area from which the earthquake occurred. Even though our earth is solid, it always moves and earthquakes occur when the pressure caused by that movement is too large to be able to withstand. One of the effects of the earthquake vibration itself that reaches the earth's surface and if the vibration is large enough can damage buildings and other infrastructure such as roads and bridges, railroad tracks, dams and others, causing casualties and property losses. So that we can avoid the danger caused by an earthquake, it is necessary to design an earthquake detection device with a pendulum swing method based on the ATMega328 Microcontroller. The ATMega328 microcontroller is the core of all the systems that exist in this design. In the design of earthquake measuring device using infrared sensors and photodiodes. Where the infrared beam construction is determined by the pendulum which detects the swing.

Abstract— Almost all television sets are equipped with a timer, but sometimes we ignore it. Due to falling asleep or suddenly being left behind, we forget to turn off the television which eventually turns on the television without anyone watching. In such a case, of course there is a waste of electricity. This article contributes to designing devices that can turn off the television when no one is watching without setting the timer that comes with the television first and portable devices for all television brands. The tool is designed using an AVR microcontroller with type AT90USB162. The PIR sensor is used to detect people in front of the television. The sensor data is processed using an AVR type microcontroller and connected to a relay to turn the television on and off. The device is designed to detect the movement of people in front of the television, so that the television turns on when people watch it.

Abstract

Onion rambak (onion crackers) and rice karak (rice crackers) “Acha” is a home industry in Boyolali, specifically in Gumukrejo, Teras District, Boyolali Regency. Hazardous materials such as borax are not used in the ingredients that composed the karak and rambak sold by this home industry. Mrs. Sunarni, the owner, is assisted by her family in running the rambak and karak businesses. This business was started about ten years ago, but the business license had not been obtained. This company's NPWP business license was in the form of village’s group NPWP. The output was substantial, with 75-100 kg of onion rambak and 50 kg of rice karak produced. Businesses dropped in sales as people's purchasing power declined due to decreased income caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Production could be increased by changing the packaging logo to one that was more eye-catching and easier for the public to remember. In addition to serving sales through the Whatsapp application, sales were also made through e-commerce applications such as Shopee. Using online sales through e-commerce applications, the production results and sales revenue for Mrs. Sunarni's rambak and karak businesses increased.

Abstract

Background:Pain during labor is a physiological response but can result in an increase in catecholamines which result in disrupting uterine contractions which can cause uterine inertia, prolonged labor, inadequate oxygenation to the fetus and fetal distress, as well as death of the mother and/or fetus if labor pain is not treated. According to (Utami & Putri, 2020) Severe pain can affect the increase in heart rate, respiratory system, increase in blood pressure and can cause stress, thereby inhibiting the release of the hormone oxytocin which results in inadequate contractions and disruption of cervical dilatation. Uterine contractions cause complaints of labor pain which can cause anxiety and fatigue in the mother during labor and have a negative influence on the progress of labor and the well-being of the fetus.Non-pharmacological pain management includes administering electrical therapy (TENS). Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is a therapy that uses electric current to treat pain due to various conditions, ranging from nerve disorders, disorders, to pain due to childbirth. Objectives of this research is to find out how much influence electrical therapy has in reducing pain in mothers giving birth. Methods The quasi-experimental research design uses a one group pretest-posttest design. The research population was mothers in the first stage of labor in the Sukoharjo Independent Midwife Practice area. The sampling technique was total sampling with a sample size of 20 people. Results obtained a reduction value of 1.55 (mean diff.) or a reduction of 23.2% and p=<0.001 (p<0.05) which means there is a significant difference in the pain scale before and after electrical therapy. therapeutic treatment. Conlusions, electrical therapy is effective in reducing pain in mothers giving birth.Key words: electrical therapy, labor pain, mother giving birth.

Abstract

Background: Accurate nutritional status assessment is essential for designing appropriate dietary recommendations. Conventional body composition analysis tools are often expensive and less accessible. Therefore, the development of modified body fat scales integrated with dietary recommendation features may provide a practical alternative. Objectives: This study aims to implement an integrated dietary recommendation system into body fat scales for students at Muhammadiyah University of PKU Surakarta and to evaluate the measurement accuracy compared to standard devices. Methods: This comparative experimental study involved 60 samples. Measurements included Body Weight (BW), Height (H), Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat percentage, bone density, body fluid, and muscle mass. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-tests and the Mann-Whitney test to compare results between the modified scales and standard (calibrated) scales. Results: The findings indicate no significant differences in body weight, height, and BMI between the modified scales and standard scales (p-value>0.05). However, there were significant differences in body fat percentage (p-value=0.008), bone density (p-value<0.001), body water content (p-value<0.001), and muscle mass (p-value<0.001). Despite these variations, the integrated system successfully provided tailored dietary recommendations based on BMI and body fat analysis. Conclusions: The body fat scale with integrated dietary recommendation features is accurate for assessing basic parameters such as body weight, height, and BMI, while also offering added value through dietary recommendations. Nevertheless, further refinement is necessary to enhance the accuracy of body composition measurements prior to large-scale application.
