Abstract

Market structure in Islam is based on the principle of freedom, including in carrying out economic activities but is still limited by rules without neglecting the principles of responsibility and justice. Fair in this case is not detrimental to consumers or producers, related to producer surplus and consumer surplus. In Islam, Muslims are encouraged to try anything as long as they are still within the corridor of sharia, meaning that as long as the effort does not violate the provisions stipulated by Allah SWT. Likewise, in terms of carrying out economic activities, everything is permissible as long as it does not violate these rules. One of the economic activities can be seen in the market, where sellers and buyers meet to make transactions for goods or services, both in the form of production and pricing.

Abstract

This study analyzes the financial performance of the Binjai City Satpol PP Cooperative in 2023 using liquidity, solvency, and profitability ratios. The liquidity ratio is measured using the Current Ratio, which shows a value of 2. This figure indicates that the cooperative has a good ability to meet its short-term obligations, where every Rp.1 liability is supported by Rp.2 current assets. Solvency analysis using Debt to Equity Ratio shows a value of 0.67, which means that equity is greater than total liabilities. This ratio reflects a healthy capital structure with relatively low financial risk. Meanwhile, the profitability analysis measured by Return on Assets (ROA) shows a value of 12%. This shows that the cooperative is able to generate a profit of Rp.0.12 for every Rp1 of assets it owns, which reflects efficiency in asset management. The financial performance of the Binjai City Satpol PP Cooperative is classified as healthy with good liquidity, low solvency level, and fairly high profitability. However, to improve competitiveness and business sustainability, the cooperative is advised to diversify its business to reduce dependence on one source of income. In addition, receivables management needs to be improved by implementing stricter credit policies and more effective collections to keep cash flow healthy. With these strategic measures, the cooperative can maintain its financial stability and improve the welfare of members in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Sharia economics is considered to be a fairer and more stable economic system than conventional economics. This study aims to analyze the resilience of the Islamic economy in the face of the crisis, which proved to be better in 2008. Many Islamic banks have stronger resilience than conventional banks that use a lot of speculative instruments. Although there is a lot of research on Sharia economic resilience during the pandemic, there is still a lack of studies on post-pandemic resilience. The post-pandemic situation is very important because it builds the economy after a difficult crisis, including in Indonesia, where there is a slowdown in economic growth. The Indonesian government has taken many steps, including monetary policies for economic recovery, such as the PEN Program, which provides tax incentives, the recovery of SOEs, and support for MSMEs. This study has two hypotheses: whether or not the sharia economy is strong in the face of post-pandemic economic instability. The method used is qualitative with expert exploration and comparative analysis. The results show that the sharia economy has advantages such as a fair profit-sharing system, but also faces challenges such as a lack of capital and innovation. Therefore, strengthening regulations and public education is very important for the development of the sharia economy in the future.

Abstract
