Abstract

Dagho Beach Fishing Port yang terletak di Distrik Tamako, Pulau Sangihe, Sulawesi Utara .. akhir-akhir ini telah terjadi penurunan aktivitas dagho fishing port. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi sumber daya manusia dagho, fasilitas utama dagho fishing port, fasilitas fungsional dan fasilitas pendukung yang mendukung pengembangan dagho fishing port dan untuk menentukan strategi pengembangan pelabuhan dagho fising. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 17 Juli hingga 10 November 2017. Data diperoleh dengan mewawancarai stakeholder dan dianalisis menggunakan SWOT. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada banyak hal yang dapat dilakukan untuk memperoleh perkembangan dagho yang maksimal seperti dengan menambahkan fasilitas dermaga halaman, navigasi selestial, layanan komunikasi (telepon, internet dan komunikasi radio).Kata kunci: Pelabuhan Dagho, Pengembangan, SWOT

Abstract

Pemanfaatan sumberdaya perikanan berupa usaha penangkapan ikan dengan bagan apung (floating bagan) telah berlangsung lama di desa Batu Putih dan jumlah bagan yang aktif cenderung berkurang. Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengkaji aspek teknis pengoperasian bagan apung di perairan desa Batu Putih. Manfaat dari studi ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan informasi ilmiah dan referensi bagi akademisi maupun pelaku usaha dibidang penangkapan. Penelitian dilaksanakan Agustus–November 2024, lokasi penelitian di perairan desa Batu Putih. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Analisis data menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi partisipan.  Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan pengoperasian bagan apung selama 4 (empat) trip penangkapan  dan melakukan pengambilan data yang terdiri dari desain dan konstruksi alat tangkap, proses pengoperasian dan hasil tangkapan selain itu pengambilan data parameter oseanografi perairan. Waktu terbaik untuk mengoperasikan bagan adalah saat arus tidak mengalami perubahan arah antara pukul 03.00 – 04.30 dini hari, dengan kedalaman daerah penangkapan bagan apung pada kedalaman 75 depa. Hasil analisis menunjukan  bahwa aspek teknis pengoperasian bagan apung di perairan Batu Putih meliputi perahu pelang berkapasitas 15 PK sebagai sarana transportasi menuju fishing ground dan alat tangkap itu sendiri yang terbuat dari rangkaian kayu dengan jaring/cang dengan bantuan lampu. Adapun beberapa tahap pengoperasiannya meliputi persiapan, pemasangan lampu, pengamatan ikan, penurunan jarring, pengangkatan jaring, penanganan hasil tangkapan. Hasil tangkapan utama yang diperoleh selama penelitian yaitu 65% ikan teri, 23% ikan layang dan 12% ikan sardin.

Abstract

The waters of Bitung, located in North Sulawesi Province, have long been known for their rich underwater biodiversity, specifically unique and exotic creatures. They are a potential demersal fishing ground for coastal fishermen in Bitung City. However, information on demersal fishing grounds is limited, so it is necessary to conduct research and map demersal fishing grounds in Bitung waters. This study aims to obtain data on the geographical position of demersal fishing areas in Bitung waters to be mapped into a map of demersal fishing areas in Bitung waters and determine the types of catches from bottom fishing rods. Data was collected directly by following demersal fishing operations on the training ship FV. Coelacanth. The data were analyzed using survey methods and direct observation, which is an effort to collect information directly from a part of the population that is considered a specified population and has the nature of authentication or checking of existing theories. The study's results obtained geographical data on demersal fishing areas in Bitung waters at (1) 10°23.447' N, 125°06.934' E (Suar Batu Kapal area),, (2) 10°23.483' N, 125°09.567' E (Karang Tanjung Merah area) (3) 10°23.283' N, 125°10.852' E (Batu Angus Area), (4) 10°30.393' N, 125°15.392' E (Menara Lampu Hijau Area), and (5) 10°32.706' N, 125°18.105' E (Dua Pulau area). The primary catches of bottom fishing consist of fish species: grouper, snapper, trevally fish, Gora fish, emperor fish and parrot fish.

Abstract

The majority of fishermen in Batu Putih Atas Subdistrict, Bitung City, use lift nets (bagan apung) as their primary fishing gear. The uncertainty of fishing operations due to seasonal changes highlights the need for a thorough economic feasibility analysis. This study aims to evaluate the economic viability of lift net fishing activities. Data were collected through surveys and interviews, and analysed using a descriptive quantitative approach based on financial data. The results show that lift net fishing in Batu Putih Atas is financially profitable. The annual total revenue reached IDR 432,000,000, with a net profit of IDR 334,550,000. The total annual catch amounted to 1,440 buckets (equivalent to 72 metric tons), with anchovies comprising 65% of the catch. Based on the analysis of the Revenue-Cost Ratio (R/C ratio), Break-Even Price, Break-Even Production, and Payback Period, lift net fishing is considered economically feasible and viable for continued operation..

Abstract

Fishing with the target of squid by fishermen in the Motto Village is a hereditary cultural fishing and has been going on for a long time. The research on squid’s biology of Motto village is important to support this fishing activities The purpose of this study was to identify squid caught based on biology in the waters of the Motto Village. The method used in this research is descriptive research method. The research was conducted during September to November 2021. Data was collected through observation and interviews. The results obtained indicated that the squids caught in Motto waters were a Stenoteuthis oualaniensis. Maximum mantle length 23 cmML, minimum mantle length 9.6 cmML with an average of 11.80 cm ML. Maximum weight of 500 grams, minimum weight of 10 grams with an average of 70 grams. The results of the length-weight ratio obtained the value of R2 was 0.7929 where the determination or effect of the length variation of the mantle on the weight variation of the squid was 79.29%. The growth pattern of squid are negative allometric or length increase more dominant than weight increase.
