Abstract

The results of observations show that student learning outcomes in the History learning process are not yet optimal, so that student learning outcomes are optimal, it needs to be addressed immediately so that History learning objectives can be implemented well through a learning model that is appropriate to the objectives, namely the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model for class students. XII IPS SMA Negeri XIII Koto Kampar. This research uses Classroom Action Research, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research instruments used were the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) as a learning tool and data collection instruments, namely teacher, student and test observation sheets. In analyzing the data obtained from observations of teacher and student activities by calculating the activities carried out by teachers and students. The results of using the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model have increased every cycle, in cycle I the average student score was 59/13 with the number of students who completed 7 and in cycle II increased with an average of 86.95 with the number of students who completed 21 people

Abstract

This study aims to develop Virtual Reality (VR)-based learning media at the Buya Hamka Birth Museum to enhance students' motivation in learning history. The research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, focusing on the history subject for Grade XI students. The background of this study arises from students' lack of interest in history lessons due to conventional teaching methods that rely heavily on textbooks. To address this issue, the research develops an interactive VR learning medium that allows students to explore historical sites virtually. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection involved observations, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to students and history teachers. The VR-based learning media was validated by experts in both media and historical content before being tested in small and large groups of students. The findings indicate that the VR learning media is effective in increasing students' motivation and engagement in history lessons. Students showed a higher level of enthusiasm and understanding when using VR compared to traditional learning methods. In conclusion, VR-based learning media can be an innovative solution to make history lessons more immersive and appealing.

Abstract

This article aims to explain the existence of the Muara Jambi temple complex in the course of Indonesian History.As one of the largest Buddhist temple complexes in Southeast Asia, Muara Jambi is not widely known by the Indonesian people. Muara Jambi has only been known as a large number of people as the name of an area without knowing that there are important sites in the course of ancient Indonesian history in it. The temple heritage that has been more widely known on the island of Java and is used as the main historical tourist destination for the relics of the Hindu and Buddhist periods, the lack of writing and research on Muara Jambi is one of the main causes of people's ignorance about the Muara Jambi temple complex. One of them is about its status and existence in the history of the kingdoms in Sumatra, which eventually led to two major kingdoms, namely the Malay and Srivijaya Kingdoms.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pemanfaatan reruntuhan Candi Buddha Sintong sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 3 Tanah Putih, serta mengeksplorasi peranannya dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan pemahaman kontekstual peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan situs bersejarah ini mampu meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa terhadap mata pelajaran sejarah, memperkuat pemahaman lokalitas sejarah, serta menumbuhkan kesadaran pelestarian warisan budaya. Penggunaan situs secara langsung melalui kegiatan studi lapangan dan proyek kolaboratif juga memberikan pengalaman belajar yang autentik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi situs sejarah lokal seperti Candi Buddha Sintong sangat potensial untuk memperkaya metode pembelajaran sejarah.
