Abstract

The production of the double haploid plant in vitro through anther culture technique is a plant breeding technique used to obtain pure strain rapidly. A variety of pretreatment has been reported to induce callus and regenerate planlets efficiently. This study aims at describing the influence of cold anther pretreatment towards the callus formation of curly red chili pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). This research was conducted in the laboratory of Genetics and Breeding, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, Universtas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The explants used are anther of local genotype of curly red chili pepper. The anthers are stored at low temperatures (4 °c) with different time intervals of 0, 24, 48 and 72 hours. The results showed that the percentage of highest callus formation was obtained at 24 and 72 hours length storage, ie 50%. Cold pretreatment of 72 hours anther storage results in a faster callus with a percentage of the highest yellowish white callus color of 17.65% and a compact structure. The cold pretreatment with 72 hours anther storage is the most optimal acceleration in the development stage of anther culture and induces te formation of curly red chili pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) local genotypes.

Abstract

Efficiency is an important aspect that can be used as a benchmark for making decisions in production with various available production input alternatives. Knowing efficiency both technically and economically will reduce the gap between productivity that should be produced. Efficiency is used as an indicator in seeing the ability of the production unit in the fishing business, to know the potential for production inputs it is necessary to analyze its efficiency both technically and economically as well as its development potential. So this research was conducted to see how the efficiency of the dominant fishing gear used by fishermen in Tanah Merah District is technically by looking at the factors that affect fishing production and its financial feasibility. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis with a survey method approach and uses an analysis of technical efficiency and financial feasibility. The results showed that the technical efficiency of the capture fisheries business using drift nets by looking at the Cobb-Douglas production function showed a VRS value of 1.185 > 1, which means that it is in the increasing return to scale category where the percentage increase in production is greater for the addition of production factors so that the use of production factors is technically efficient. . Based on the results of the financial feasibility analysis it was concluded that the fishing business using drift nets is feasible to be cultivated in terms of financial parameters in the form of R/C ratio, PPC and ROI.

Abstract

Abstrak Pembelajaran budaya dan Bahasa Pakpak diberikan bagi siswa kelas X SMAN I Salak Kabupaten Pakpak Bharat sebagai upaya pemertahanan budaya/bahasa Pakpak. Namun proses pembelajaran dan asesmennya masih tradisional disebabkan guru yang mengajar tidak memiliki kompetensi teknologi. Pembelajaran berbasis teknologi diasumsikan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi literasi serta sikap positif generasi muda terhadap budaya dan bahasa Pakpak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran serta asesmen mata pelajaran muatan lokal budaya dan bahasa Pakpak di SMAN 1 Salak. Pertanyaan penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: a) Bagaimana pengembangan materi ajar digital dan modul ajar dapat meningkatkan sikap positif siswa terhadap budaya dan Bahasa Pakpak?, dan b) Bagaimana pengembangan asesmen digital dapat mendorong siswa meningkatkan kompetensi literasi budaya dan Bahasa Pakpak? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Borg and Gall, 2003), tetapi baru sampai ke tahap studi pendahuluan dan perencanaan. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa sekolah membutuhkan: a) bahan ajar interaktif berbasis digital; b) peningkatan kompetensi guru; dan c) pendampingan pembuatan asesmen.Kata kunci: budaya Pakpak, Bahasa Pakpak, digitalisasi bahan ajar/assesmen, muatan lokal

Abstract

One of the vegetable plants that is often consumed by Indonesian is eggplant, because it has high nutrition and many health benefits. Eggplant growth and production can be increased by using biofertilizers, such as bioboost biofertilizer. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best concentration of bioboost biofertilizer for the growth and production of eggplant. This research was carried at UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau and Laboratory of Agronomy and Agrostology, Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, from March to June 2022. The study was carried out using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments (P0 = positive control, P1 = 20 ml L-1 water, P2 = 40 ml L-1 water, P3 = 60 ml L-1 water, and P4 = 80 ml L-1 l water), which repeated 10 times to obtain 50 experimental units. The results showed that there was a significant effect of giving bioboost biofertilizer on the number of fruits, fruit weight, fresh weight, and plant dry weight. The most efficient results for the growth and production of eggplants grown on soil media mixed with chicken manure (2:1 ; w/w) are obtained with the application of bioboost biofertilizer at 20 ml L-1 water.

Abstract

Microgreens menjadi inovasi baru dalam pertanian di perkotaan. Kubis bunga ialah salah satu tanaman sayur yang dapat dibudidayakan secara microgreens. Microgreens kubis bunga mengandung sulforaphane yang merupakan senyawa golongan isothiocyanate, yang berpotensi sebagai anti kanker. Konsentrasi senyawa ini dapat berubah sesuai kondisi lingkungan tumbuh, seperti media tanam dan ketersediaan nutrisi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendapatkan interaksi terbaik antara media tanam dan nutrisi terbaik untuk meningkatkan kandungan sulforaphane pada microgreens kubis bunga. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Agustus hingga Desember 2021. Penelitian dirancang secara faktorial yang disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Faktor pertama yakni jenis media tanam (rockwool, cocopeat, kertas tisu dan vermiculite), faktor kedua yakni pemberian nutrisi (tanpa pemberian nutrisi tambahan dan pemberian air kelapa). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan adanya interaksi antara media tanam cocopeat dan air kelapa yang dapat meningkatkan kandungan sulforaphane pada microgreens kubis bunga. Media tanam cocopeat dan vermiculite menunjukan respon terbaik terhadap tinggi microgreens kubis bunga.
