Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance participants' English language proficiency through an online IELTS training program using Web IELTS Online Test (IOT) tools and YouTube recordings. The program addressed the need for accessible and flexible learning options for students and faculty members seeking to pursue higher education abroad. Delivered via Zoom for 12 sessions and supported by the Web IELTS Online Test platform, the training provided personalized resources, tracked participants' progress, and included recorded sessions on a private YouTube channel for self-paced review. The Service Learning (SL) method was employed, engaging participants in a cycle of planning, implementation, and reflection to tailor the process to their needs. The program involved 10 participants, consisting of Grade 3 students from MAN IC Pekalongan and faculty members from UIN. Pre-test results highlighted gaps in the four IELTS skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking, which were targeted throughout the program. Post-test results showed an average improvement of 1.0 band in listening, 0.5 in reading, 0.5 in writing, and 0.5 in speaking. Although only 40% achieved their target scores, 80% experienced an increase in their overall score, and 20% showed specific skill improvements. These results suggest that integrating digital tools in online training enhances language learning outcomes and supports participants in overcoming learning challenges. This program has implications for broader adoption in similar contexts, emphasizing the role of accessible online learning environments in academic readiness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis peran Aljabar Linear dalam pengembangan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dan Virtual Reality (VR), serta mengeksplorasi potensinya dalam mendukung pembelajaran matematika yang lebih interaktif. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan systematic literature review, studi ini menelaah berbagai publikasi ilmiah yang relevan untuk mengidentifikasi kontribusi utama konsep Aljabar Linear terhadap konstruksi sistem AR dan VR. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa konsep-konsep seperti matriks transformasi, ruang vektor, proyeksi perspektif, serta sistem koordinat homogen menjadi dasar matematis yang sangat penting dalam membangun pengalaman virtual yang realistis dan dinamis. Melalui konsep tersebut, objek tiga dimensi dapat dimanipulasi secara presisi dalam ruang virtual, memungkinkan interaksi spasial yang kompleks dan realistis. Selain itu, temuan studi ini juga menggarisbawahi potensi besar integrasi AR dalam pendidikan matematika, khususnya dalam memfasilitasi pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep-konsep abstrak yang selama ini sulit dipahami melalui pendekatan konvensional. Teknologi AR membantu visualisasi interaktif yang memperkuat keterlibatan siswa serta meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Meskipun demikian, tantangan tetap ada, terutama terkait kurangnya pemahaman mendalam terhadap teori Aljabar Linear di kalangan pengembang teknologi. Oleh karena itu, studi ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kolaborasi antara pendidik, ahli matematika, dan pengembang teknologi guna mengoptimalkan penerapan AR dan VR sebagai sarana edukatif dan inovatif di era digital.

Abstract

In history, quantitative development data can be used as important data in building a historiography. This article aims to reconstruct the history of general education development by utilizing quantitative data in Pekalongan City during the Pelita V era (1989-1994). Pekalongan City itself is an important city that was once the capital of the Pekalongan Residency which was projected as a trading city where the educational aspect was important to build. This article was written using the historical method with stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The main data source is statistical data obtained from Pekalongan report data in figures issued by BPS, as well as government policy archives stored at the City Government Archives Office. The data obtained was then analyzed using a development history approach from a development politics perspective. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the condition of general education at the primary and secondary levels in Pekalongan City in Pelita V, seen from the aspect of the number of schools, teachers and students, generally experienced fluctuations/dynamics. In this case, the development of general education at the primary level at PELITA V in Pekalongan City is going well, even though there is inequality. At the secondary level, both junior and senior educational development tends to be stagnant
