Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of farmer groups in increasing corn production in dry land, Labuhan Sangoro Village, Maronge District, Sumbawa Regency. The farmer groups sampled were 6 farmer groups from corn farmer groups in dry land which were determined using purposive sampling, data analysis techniques using a Likert scale with five indicators. The research results show that as many as 3 indicators perform well, namely indicators (1) planning activities, (2) carrying out activities and complying with agreements with other parties, and (3) application of technology and use of information; Meanwhile, 2 indicators performed quite well, namely indicators: (1) capital fertilization and (2) institutional relations between farmer groups and gapoktan. Overall, the performance of farmer groups in Sangoro Village, Maronge District, performed well with an average score of 2.88.

Abstract

This distribution chain of Sumbawa forest honey has several problems such as the long-distance of the forest from settlements, the fluctuated price of forest honey, which is depended on the quality and the distance to get the honey. The next problem is the high shipping cost to customers, and the packaging must be hygienic and safe. Sumbawa forest honey delivery to consumers must be in good. The purpose of this study is to analyze the marketing chain of Sumbawa forest honey in Sumbawa District, West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia. The method of determining location is done by purposive sampling, considering Sumbawa district is the center of Sumbawa forest honey. Respondent's sample determination was done by snowball sampling. The study was conducted by surveying the field by using a questionnaire with relevant institutions and carrying out documentation. The results showed that there were three types of distribution channels from Sumbawa forest honey. The first distribution channel is the honey hunter – the consumer. The second distribution channel is the honey hunter–honey enterprises-consumer. The third distribution chain is the honey hunter–honey enterprises–supermarket –the consumer. The price of honey received by consumers is not the same, depending on the length of the marketing chain. The marketing margin of the first distribution channel was Rp. 0,00. The second distribution were Rp. 60,000.00 and the third distribution were Rp. 50,000.00. Keywords: marketing, distribution chain, Sumbawa forest honey

Abstract

It is very crucial to evaluate the distribution of subsidized fertilizer through the application of the six rights principles (right price, quantity, type, quality, time, and place) by the government. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the distribution of subsidized fertilizer based on the six rights principles in the Sumbawa Regency. This study is conducted in May–July 2023. The research location was determined using purposive sampling. The sample in this study was 111 people, including distributors, retailers, and farmers. The research results show that the effectiveness of subsidized fertilizer distribution based on the six correct principles varies. The right place and quality belong to very effective criteria, the right type belongs to effective criteria, and the exact amount falls into the ineffective formula. At the same time, the right price and on time belong to very ineffective criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of independent variables, namely land area, seeds, labor, fertilizer, and pesticides, on watermelon production in Labuhan Kuris Village, Lape District. Additionally, the study tests the coefficient of determination to assess how much these variables influence watermelon production. The method used is purposive sampling, involving 30 watermelon farmers as respondents. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The analysis was conducted using multiple regression. The results show that, partially, only the land area variable has a significant effect on watermelon production, while seeds, labor, fertilizer, and pesticides do not have a significant impact. However, simultaneously, all five independent variables significantly influence watermelon production. These findings indicate that land area is the primary factor in increasing watermelon production in the region.

Abstract

Rehabilitasi ekosistem mangrove di Sumbawa termasuk di Desa Stowe Brang, Kacamatan Utan adalah salah satu upaya yang harus dilakukan dalam menangani degradasi mangrove yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya alih fungsi ekosistem mangrove menjadi tambak. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini ialah untuk meningkatkan peran dan keterlibatan Masyarakat dalam konservasi dan rehabilitasi mangrove. Program ini merupakan bagian dari program sosial (Corporate social responsibility) PT. Solusi Masyarakat Mandiri (SMM) yang bekerjsama dengan Universitas Samawa. Desa Stowe Brang, Kecamatan Utan, Kabupaten Sumbawa adalah lokasi pelaksanaan program ini. Program dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni hingga November 2024. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi assement lapangan, pelatihan dan pendampingan pembibitan mangrove, penanaman mangrove hingga monitoring dan evaluasi. Masyarakat yang terlibat pada program ini ialah masyarakat Dusun Bina Marga. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat telah mampu memetakan potensi sumber daya alam yang ada di Desa Stowe Brang, mampu melakukan pembibitan mangrove dan berhasil melaksanakan penanaman mangrove sebanyak 4000 bibit. Luaran dari program ini ialah terbentuknya satu rumah bibit mangrove, tertanamnya 4.000 bibit mangrove dan peningkatan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam konservasi mangrove.

Abstract

Artikel ini memaparkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berupa penanaman mangrove di kawasan pesisir Pulau Kaung Kecamatan Buer Kabupaten Sumbawa. Penanaman ini bertujuan untuk menjaga kelestarian ekosistem pesisir, mengurangi dampak abrasi, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui potensi ekonomi dari mangrove. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada bulan mei 2025 kerjasama Universitas Samawa Sumbawa dengan PT. SMM (Solusi Masyarakat Mandiri) dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menanam bibit mangrove sebanyak 4.000 bibit diikuti oleh berbagai kalangan masyarakat diantaranya yaitu perguruan tinggi swasta dan sekolah menengah atas yang ada di Kabupaten Sumbawa serta organisasi masyarakat pencinta lingkungan hidup yang ada di Kabupaten Sumbawa.
