Abstract

One of the software for compiling a bibliography automatically can take advantage of the facilities of the Mendeley Desktop application. Mendeley Desktop is a reference management software that helps organize scientific articles, namely in creating citations and bibliography. With this software, writers can manage reading sources that are used as references in compiling their writings. The use of Mendeley Desktop can also be integrated with Microsoft Word, so it can be more easily for writers for each scientific paper. The purpose of holding this training activity is to help the teachers of SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban in order to utilize of the facilities provided by the software and the citations and references on the Mendeley Desktop so that scientific writing can be done more easily, quickly, and efficiently. From the training results, it was found that the training carried out could add knowledge and solutions to the use of Mendeley Desktop with the evaluation results increase significantly. The writers hope that by holding this training, teachers at SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban can apply the citation / reference software from Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan dan meningkatkan pemahaman guru Sekolah Menengah Pertama tentang penelitian bidang pendidikan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMPS Gita Surya Eban yang berada di Desa Eban, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Yang menjadi peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah 14 orang guru. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini dibagi menjadi tahap pra kegiatan dan kegiatan. Tahap pra kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelaksanaan survey awal untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan penelitian guru serta kendala yang dialami. Selanjutnya tahap kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan angket tanggapan peserta. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diperoleh informasi bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif dari peserta. Peserta berharap dapat dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan lanjutan sehingga peserta dapat menghasilkan proposal penelitian dan karya tulis ilmiah. Abstract:  This socialization activity aims to introduce and increase Junior High School teachers’ understanding of about educational research. This activity was carried out at the Gita Surya Eban SMPS in Eban village, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The participants in this activity were 14 teachers. The implementation of this socialization is divided into pre-activity and activity stages. The pre-activity stage was carried out through the implementation of an initial survey to find out an overview of the implementation of teacher research and the obstacles experienced. Furthermore, the activity stage is carried out through socialization and evaluation. The evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire for the responses of the participants. Based on the results of the evaluation, information was obtained that this socialization activity received positive responses from the participants. Participants hope that further training and mentoring activities can be carried out so that participants can produce research proposals and scientific papers.

Abstract

Desa Fatunisuan terletak dalam wilayah Kecamatan Miomafo Barat, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur yang identik dengan topografi berbukit-bukit dan terletak di dataran tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil riset, di Kecamatan Miomaffo Barat secara menyeluruh terdapat jenis tanaman  jeruk keprok dan umbi-umbian. Riset khusus untuk mengidentifikasi dan menginventarisasi jenis tumbuhan endemik dan bemanfaat di Desa Fatunisuan belum pernah dilakukan hingga saat ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis tumbuhan endemik dan bermanfaat dari kelompok tumbuhan  tingkat tinggi (phanerogamae) dan karakterisasi senyawa metabolit sekunder  yang terkandung dalam ekstrak daun tumbuhan tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan mix method antara eksplorasi dan eksperimen. Metode eksplorasi untuk mengidentifikasi jenis tumbuhan, dan metode eksperimen dengan uji skrining fitokimia untuk karakterisasi jenis senyawa metabolit sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa di desa Fatunisuan terdapat tujuh jenis tumbuhan yang endemik dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat desa setempat yakni Santalum album var. largifolium Rudjiman et Adrie, Santalum album L. var. album ziphus mauritiana, Pinus merkusii, Piper majusculum Blume, Coffea arabica, Arenga pinnata, dan Aleurites moluccana.  Hasil karakterisasi jenis senyawa metabolit dari ke tujuh ekstrak daun tumbuhan tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa ekstrak daun Santalum album var. largifolium Rudjiman et Adrie maupun Santalum album L. var. album ziphus mauritiana dan ekstrak daun Coffea arabica memiliki kandungan lima jenis senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu Alkaloid, Fenolik, Saponin, Flavanoid, dan Triterpenoid. Ekstrak pelepah daun Arenga pinnata maupun daun Aleurites moluccana memiliki kandungan lima jenis senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu Alkaloid, Fenolik, Steroid, Saponin, dan Flavanoid. Sementara itu ekstrak daun Pinus merkusii memiliki kandungan enam jenis senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terdiri dari Alkaloid, Fenolik, Saponin, Flavanoid, Triterpenoid, dan Tanin. Sedangkan ekstrak daun Piper majusculum Blume memiliki kandungan lima jenis senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu Alkaloid, Fenolik, Steroid, Saponin, dan Tanin

Abstract

In this study, the aim was to produce learning media based on the Google Slides application for natural science subjects on the human digestive system at Fatumfaun Public Middle School and then to find out the feasibility of Google Slides-based learning media for natural science subjects on the food digestive system for humans at public junior high schools. Fatumfaun based on the results of expert reviews and trials. Research and development (Research and Development) is a method used in this investigation. Both qualitative and quantitative data kinds are employed. The results of the assessment of media experts have an average value of 92.30% and are stated to be very good for testing. The results show that the material expert's assessment obtained an average value of 96.67% and was stated to be very good for testing. Based on Table 5, the trial of learning media products based on the Google Slides application is included in the very good category to be tested at Fatumfaun Public Middle School with an average score of 89.25% of student assessment results. The development of Google Slides application-based learning media for the digestive system material in humans that was developed was declared feasible to be tested.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the learning resources used that do not fully support the needs of students and also the limited laboratory facilities at school to observe viruses are not yet available. The purpose of this study was to develop learning resources in the form of interactive multimedia based on Articulate Storyline on virus material for class X IPA students of Senior High School (SMAS Pelita Karya) and test the feasibility of interactive multimedia. This research uses the type of research and development (R&D), but in this research process, it only reaches the feasibility test by experts and does not reach the student trial stage. The data source in this study is the validation results obtained from 2 media experts, 1 material expert, and 2 experts on the feasibility of Biology learning media. The data obtained were then analyzed and presented in the form of tables and figures. The validation results from the first media expert obtained an overall average of 4.56 aspects with the category "Very Feasible", and the evaluation results from the second media expert obtained an average of 4.56 with the category "Very Feasible". The results of validation from material experts obtained an overall average aspect of 4.33 with the category "Very Feasible". The validation results from the first Biology learning media feasibility expert obtained an overall average of 4.00 aspects with the category "Feasible", for the assessment results from the second Biology learning media feasibility expert obtained an overall average of 4.70 aspects with the category "Very Feasible". The assessment results from the validators show that interactive multimedia based on Articulate Storyline on virus material is very feasible to use as learning media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the learning independence of students in different specialization classes. This study employed a quantitative, comparative approach. The subjects of the study were class X SMA.  There are 21 students in class X MIPA and 36 students in class X IPS in SMA Nurul Fallah Kefamenanu. A questionnaire about learning independence was used to collect data. The results indicated that students in different specializated classes differed in their independence in learning. The learning independence of MIPA specialized students is 19.99% greater than that of IPS specialization students. This may be due to the inappropriate grouping of specialization classes and the existence of a negative stigma towards students enrolled in IPS specialization classes. This stigma has the potential to have a negative impact on self-confidence, learning motivation, learning creativity and student learning discipline. Therefore efforts that need to be made are to improve the system for determining specialization classes and to provide equal opportunities and support for each student to develop themselves according to their interests, talents and potential

Abstract

For this reason, this research aims: 1) To develop Eubacteria practicum E-module in class X SMAN 3 Kefamenanu, 2) To determine the feasibility of Eubacteria practicum E-module in class X SMAN 3 Kefamenanu. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using 3 important stages consisting of: 1) Preliminary study 2) model development stage, 3) evaluation or testing stage. Data was obtained from material expert validation and media expert validation, then trials to Biology subject teachers and students. Trials to two teachers of Biology subjects as respondents and trials to students consisted of limited trials or groups of 5 students and small group trials of 20 students. The results of this development research are as follows: 1) Eubacteria practicum E-module which was developed into teaching materials that are suitable for use by Biology subject teachers and students of SMAN 3 Kefamenanu, 2) E-modules are declared suitable for use as teaching materials with data obtained from 95.00% material expert validation and 91.57% media expert validation with eligibility criteria declared very suitable for use as teaching materials. Based on validation from material experts and media experts, then the Eubacteria practicum E-module was tested on teachers of Biology subjects and students of SMAN 3 Kefamenanu. The results of the trial of Biology subject teachers on respondent 1 with a percentage of 96.00%, while the percentage of respondent 2 was 92.00%. The results of the trial were limited to 88.40%, while the small group trial was 87.10%. Thus, the results of trials for teachers of Biology subjects and students of grade X SMAN 3 Kefamenanu were declared very suitable for use as teaching materials.

Abstract

Kurang optimalnya pelaksanaan program penghijauan setiap tahunnya menyebabkan kawasan pesisir Wini belum mengalami perubahan ke arah perbaikan. Pesisir Wini merupakan area pantai yang terbuka sehingga upaya penghijauan di tempat ini perlu melalui perlakuan khusus misalnya rekayasa lingkungan dengan perangkap sedimen. Untuk mengatasi kondisi pesisir terbuka seperti ini maka perlu adanya pemecah gelombang menggunakan model yang ramah, murah dan sederhana sehingga mudah di aplikasikan oleh masyarakat pesisir yang peduli terhadap kelestarian pesisir. Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah penerapan struktur hybrid berbahan organik sebagai model pemecah gelombang. Untuk keberhasilan penerapannya maka masyarakat perlu di berikan penyuluhan agar mampu dalam penerapannya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat pesisir sangat antusias menerima masukan IPTEK yang diberikan Tim Pengabdi. Masyarakat memahami pembuatan struktur hybrid dan mampu menerapkannya. Sebanyak 150 anakan mangrove yang ditaman di belakang bangunan struktu hybrid. Diharapkan melalui kegiatan ini pemerintah setempat dapat menjadikan kegiatan ini sebagai agenda kerja rutin agar mangrove yang rusak dapat pulih Kembali.

Abstract

The teacher is a party that has great responsibility in achieving learning goals. One of the competencies that must be possessed by teachers is pedagogical competence. This research was conducted with the aim of uncovering the problems of teacher pedagogical competence in learning, as well as alternative solutions that can be done to overcome these problems. The method used in this research is literature analysis. The literature is a scientific article that discusses the problems of teacher pedagogical competence. The results of the study show that the problem of teacher pedagogic competence is the lack of the teacher's ability to plan, implement and evaluate the learning that is carried out. Planning, implementation and evaluation are related to all aspects of learning, be it objectives, materials, methods or evaluation. Alternative solutions that can be implemented are increasing teacher awareness of the importance of self-motivation, maximizing the function of the LPTK (Educational Personnel Providing Institution) in preparing competent teacher candidates and maximizing the function of teacher competency development programs.
