This study discusses fatherly learning about the initial ability of learning outcomes of Biology participants in grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Kaledupa. This research can help educators in preparing teaching materials for students before starting learning. This type of research used in this study is ex post facto. The population in this study were all class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Kaledupa with a total of 3 classes, while the sample was obtained by 1 class using purposive sampling. The instrument for collecting data uses test instruments for students' initial abilities as well as for learning outcomes. The results of the research show what is meant by Preliminary Principles on the learning outcomes of Biology Science VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kaledupa. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing using simple regression analysis obtained significance value of 0.004 <0.05. Also, from a simple regression analysis table supported by an initial ability regression coefficient of 0.764 which is claimed to support every 1% of the initial ability score, the added learning outcome score is 0.764. This regression coefficient is positive, so it can be agreed that the direction of the effect of the initial ability variable on learning outcomes is positive.

One of the software for compiling a bibliography automatically can take advantage of the facilities of the Mendeley Desktop application. Mendeley Desktop is a reference management software that helps organize scientific articles, namely in creating citations and bibliography. With this software, writers can manage reading sources that are used as references in compiling their writings. The use of Mendeley Desktop can also be integrated with Microsoft Word, so it can be more easily for writers for each scientific paper. The purpose of holding this training activity is to help the teachers of SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban in order to utilize of the facilities provided by the software and the citations and references on the Mendeley Desktop so that scientific writing can be done more easily, quickly, and efficiently. From the training results, it was found that the training carried out could add knowledge and solutions to the use of Mendeley Desktop with the evaluation results increase significantly. The writers hope that by holding this training, teachers at SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban can apply the citation / reference software from Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers.

Pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini dibagi menjadi tahap pra kegiatan dan kegiatan. Tahap pra kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelaksanaan survey awal untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan penelitian guru serta kendala yang dialami. Selanjutnya tahap kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan angket tanggapan peserta. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diperoleh informasi bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif dari peserta. Peserta berharap dapat dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan lanjutan sehingga peserta dapat menghasilkan proposal penelitian dan karya tulis ilmiah.Â Abstract:Â This socialization activity aims to introduce and increase Junior High School teachersâ€™ understanding of about educational research. This activity was carried out at the Gita Surya Eban SMPS in Eban village, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The participants in this activity were 14 teachers. The implementation of this socialization is divided into pre-activity and activity stages. The pre-activity stage was carried out through the implementation of an initial survey to find out an overview of the implementation of teacher research and the obstacles experienced. Furthermore, the activity stage is carried out through socialization and evaluation. The evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire for the responses of the participants. Based on the results of the evaluation, information was obtained that this socialization activity received positive responses from the participants. Participants hope that further training and mentoring activities can be carried out so that participants can produce research proposals and scientific papers.

Abstrak: Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk melatih guru-guru agar mampu membuat media pembelajaran interaktif agar menjadi salah satu sarana dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan pada awal minggu pertama bulan Agustus 2021, dengan jumlah peserta yang hadir 18 orang guru. Metode pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan cara memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan langsung kepada guru-guru secara untuk membuat media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan aplikasi articulate storyline. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran initeraktif sesuai dengan bidang pelajarang setiap guru seperti guru IPA yang mebuat media pembelajaran untuk pelajaran IPA. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan kontribusi bagi sekolah dan guru-guru, 90% guru-guru paham denga napa yang disampaikan oleh tim pengabdi. Dengan tingginya pemahaman guru-guru ini, diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai Learning Management System (LMS) sederhana untuk sekolah yang nantinya dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran secara daring maupun luring.Abstract: The purpose of this activity is to train teachers to be able to create interactive learning media so that they become a means of learning. This service activity was carried out at the beginning of the first week of August 2021, with 18 teachers attending. This service method is carried out by providing training and direct assistance to teachers to create interactive learning media using the articulate storyline application. This service activity produces this interactive learning media according to the subject area of each teacher such as a science teacher who makes learning media for science lessons. This activity also contributes to schools and teachers, 90% of the teachers understand what the service team is saying. With the high understanding of these teachers, it is hoped that it can be used as a simple Learning Management System (LMS) for schools which can later be used in the online and offline learning process.

[THE EFFECT OF SELF-CONCEPT AND ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION ON STUDENTS ‘LEARNING OUTCOMES]. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of self-concept and achievement motivation on student learning outcomes. This research is included in quantitative research with the type of ex post facto causal research. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire to measure the variables of self-concept and achievement motivation and a multiple choice test to measure student learning outcomes. The sample in this study were students of class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Kaledupa, Kaledupa District, Wakatobi Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. After the data was obtained, it was analyzed with multiple linear regression analysis using the IBM SPSS 24 application. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it was concluded that there was an effect of self-concept and achievement motivation on student learning outcomes, this was based on the significance value obtained at 0.00 < 0.05. The magnitude of the influence of self-concept and prestigious motivation on learning outcomes is 84.4%, this is obtained based on the value of R Square after data analysis.

This study aims to produce a product in the form of a pocket book on Orchid Diversity in the Mutis Natural Forest as a learning resource for fourth-semester students of the Biology Education Study Program, at the University of Timor in the Higher Plant Botany course. This study uses the development model of Borg and Gall which consists of ten stages, but in this study, it is only limited to 5 stages, namely conducting preliminary research (pre-survey), planning, developing product forms, conducting product trials, and make product revisions. The results of the validation by material expert validators and learning media experts showed that the pocket book did not require significant revision and the conclusion given by the material expert validator and media expert was that the Orchid Diversity pocket book in the Mutis Natural Forest was declared feasible to be tested on students. Based on the student questionnaire calculation data on individual trials and small group trials, it can be concluded that the Orchid Diversity pocket book in Mutis Natural Forest has not undergone significant revisions. After going through the validation stage by material expert validators and learning media experts as well as from the results of individual and small group product trials, the resulting Orchid Diversity Pocket Book in Mutis Natural Forest is valid and suitable to be used as a learning resource in the Higher Plant Botany course at the University of Timor

This study aims to identify the misconception in the students as well as the teachers on the same topic, namely Energy. This study used mixed-method research of sequential exploratory type with the research subjects of the teachers and the students in North Central Timor Regency with a sample size of 163 students and 12 physics teachers. The misconception data was obtained by giving a misconception test in the form of a multiple-choice question. There were 12 questions with 5 answer choices which were equipped with CRI (Certainty of Response Index). The results showed that the percentage of students' misconceptions for the whole question (12 items) was quite large, namely 43.66%, while students who had a good understanding of the concept were 38.80%. Nearly 18% of students did not understand the concept while 4.24% were just guessing and lucky (Lucky Guess) while the remaining 13.29% were the total students who did not understand the concept of the questions at all. Meanwhile, of the teachers, an average of 77.08% have mastered the concept of Energy. However, as many as 22.92% of the teachers had the misconception on several questions, namely (question number 5,6,7,8,9,10, and 12) with the most misconceptions on question number 7, 10, and 5. The conclusion obtained was that the misconception found in physics teachers was 22.92%. For the students, there was still a large portion of them who had misconceptions about the topic of Energy. This was caused by the lack of students' understanding of the topic of Energy

ABSTRAK Mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik MAN Baraka merupakan tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian korelasi produk momen, dimana ada dua variabel yang ingin dikatahui hubungan dan arah hubungannya, serta menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X MIA MAN Baraka dengan total 121 orang peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan dua jenis instrument yakni instumen non-tes dan tes masing-masing untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar dengan jumlah 37 pernyataan, setiap pernyataan memiliki 5 pilihan jawaban dan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik dengan jumlah butir soal 26 yang setiap nomornya memiliki lima alternatif jawaban. Dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi produk momen diperoleh hasil penelitian yaitu nilai signifikansi 0,008 < 0,05 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan pemahaman konsep fisika peserta didik MAN Baraka dengan arah korelasinya adalah positif. Dengan ini, guru-guru ketika akan melakukan pembelajaran, baiknya memberikan motivasi terlebih dahulu kepada peserta didik agar mereka termotivasi. Ketika pererta didik sudah termotivasi, maka peserta didik akan bersemangat dan memungkinkan mereka untuk mudah dalam memahami konsep-konsep pelajaran sehingga akan memperoleh hasil belajar yang lebih baik. Kata kunci: motivasi, belajar, pemahaman, konsep, fisika ABSTRACT Knowing the relationship between learning motivation and understanding students' MAN Baraka concepts is the aim of this study. This research was included in product-moment research, where there were two variables that wanted to know the relationship and direction needed, and used quantitative research. The subjects of this study were all students of class X MIA MAN Baraka with a total of 121 students. Data collection used two types of instruments namely non-test and each test to determine learning motivation with a total of 37 answers, each of which had 5 answer choices and students' understanding of concepts with a total of 26 items, each of which had five alternative answers. By using product evaluation analysis when the results of significance 0.008 <0.05 which mean that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning and learning with the understanding of MAN Baraka students' concepts and the direction of correlation is positive. With this, the teacher when going to learn, it is better to provide motivation in advance to students so that they are motivated. When students are motivated, students will be excited and allow them to easily understand the concepts of the lesson so that they will get better learning outcomes. This community service activity aims to train skills and improve bibliography writing skills using the Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers for Wini State Junior High School teachers. Community service activity was carried out at Wini State Junior High School, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The training method is carried out in the following stages: lectures, demonstrations, discussions/questions and answers. The training activities were carried out face-to-face with the training participants as many as 13 Wini State Junior High School teachers. Based on the results of the training activities, it was found that the training of using Mendeley Desktop has a positive impact toward development of teachers' abilities in writing scientific papers. The results of training activities related to the understanding of teachers in the technical use of Mendeley Desktop, a significant increase was obtained. Prior to the training, 8% of the training participants had a good understanding, 15% had sufficient understanding, and 77% had a poor understanding of using Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers. After the training, 62% of the participants had a very good understanding. 23% of participants have good understanding, the other 15% of participants have sufficient understanding. Thus, it can be concluded that the Mendeley Desktop application training was successful in carrying out knowledge transfer to the trainees.
