Persoalan pedagang keliling merupakan persoalan optimasi untuk mencari perjalanan terpendek bagi pedagang keliling yang ingin berkunjung ke beberapa kota, dan kembali ke kota asal keberangkatan. Beberapa metode telah digunakan untuk memecahkan persoalan TSP. Namun, pada zaman yang serba praktis sekarang ini dibutuhkan algoritma yang dapat menyelesaikan TSP dengan cepat sehingga diperoleh solusi yang mendekati. Penelitian ini membahas tentang algoritma Branch and Bound dalam menyelesaikan persoalan TSP. Dengan menerapkan algoritma Branch and Bound pada hasil pembahasan persoalan pedagang keliling (Travelling Salesman Problem) dalam penelitian ini maka diperoleh rute perjalanan terpendek dengan biaya yang paling minimal.

One of the software for compiling a bibliography automatically can take advantage of the facilities of the Mendeley Desktop application. Mendeley Desktop is a reference management software that helps organize scientific articles, namely in creating citations and bibliography. With this software, writers can manage reading sources that are used as references in compiling their writings. The use of Mendeley Desktop can also be integrated with Microsoft Word, so it can be more easily for writers for each scientific paper. The purpose of holding this training activity is to help the teachers of SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban in order to utilize of the facilities provided by the software and the citations and references on the Mendeley Desktop so that scientific writing can be done more easily, quickly, and efficiently. From the training results, it was found that the training carried out could add knowledge and solutions to the use of Mendeley Desktop with the evaluation results increase significantly. The writers hope that by holding this training, teachers at SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban can apply the citation / reference software from Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers.

The research aims to depict students’ ability in solving mathematical problems based on Polya’s heuristic. Descriptive qualitative was used as a method in this research. Data were collected by observation, test, and interview. Based on the result of analysis obtained that the students with low level prior knowledge think heuristically in solving the problem solving test. For the students with medium level prior knowledge, the students think algorithmically and couldn’t solve the problem solving test imperfectly. Furthermore, the students with high level prior knowledge think algorithmically in solving the problem solving mathematics test and the other words, the students could solve the problem solving test well and fluently.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi peluang ditinjau dari teori APOS. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Satap Negeri Nakol yang berjumlah 15 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan wawancara. Wawancara dilakukan secara mendalam kepada 3 subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari 1 subjek berkemampuan tinggi, 1 subjek berkemampuan sedang, dan 1 subjek berkempuan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh bahwa tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa berada pada tingkatan yang berbeda. Siswa belum mampu menggunakan konsep matematika dengan baik dalam menyelesaikan masalah berkaitan dengan soal peluang. Selain itu, siswa belum mampu menyajikan alternatif jawaban yang lain dari permasalahan yang diberikan. Mental retardation certainly has a different thought process from other normal children. Because it is different, there needs to be a study of the thought process with the aim of finding a solution to overcome the problems that are often faced by mentally retarded students in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to describe the thought process of mentally retarded students in understanding geometric concepts based on Piaget's theory. The subjects of this study were two mentally retarded students who were in class VI. The stages of the research carried out were carrying out a learning process for three consecutive days to recognize geometry using visual aids then at the end of the activity, mentally retarded students were given evaluation questions in the form of make a match. The results showed that the two mentally retarded students experienced disequilibrium several times until they finally experienced the process of assimilation and accommodation. However, only one student experienced equilibrium who was able to connect flat figures and spatial figures based on the results of their observations. The learning process for mentally retarded students must be repeated until they arrive at an understanding of mathematics.

Abstract :This study aims to develop learning media for calculus based on the local wisdom of Timor Island with the implementation of Scilab. In addition, the research conducted simulations and compared the conventional methods and Scilab programming language to solve calculus problems. It is crucial to provide knowledge and insight to students to perform various types of simulations related to mathematics using Scilab or other open-source-based programming languages, besides the students become accustomed to solving mathematical problems with the help of programming languages. Twenty-three students of the Department of Mathematics Education in the University of Timor participated in this study to define, design, and develop a learning media in the form of handouts and powerpoints. The subject experts assessed the developed media as "excellent" in the aspect of content and language and "good" for the presentation. Meanwhile, the media experts gave an "excellent" rating for each aspect. Then after the media was tested on students, the media got “excellent” rating for each aspect.Abstrak :Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal pulau Timor pada mata kuliah Kalkulus dengan implementasi Scilab. Selain itu pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan simulasi dengan menggunakan Scilab dan melakukan perbandingan penyelesaian masalah-masalah kalkulus yang dilakukan dengan metode konvensional dan metode pembelajaran dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Scilab. Penelitian ini sangat penting untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan wawasan kepada mahasiswa untuk melakukan berbagai jenis simulasi yang berkaitan dengan matematika yang menggunakan media Scilab atau bahasa pemrograman lainnya yang berbasis open-source, selain itu para mahasiswa menjadi terbiasa menyelesaikan masalah matematika dengan bantuan bahasa pemrograman. Penelitian ini melibatkan 23 orang mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Timor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan langkah-langkah penelitian ini adalah define, design, dan development. Penelitian ini mengembangkan media yang berupa handout dan powerpoint. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari media yang dikembangkan mendapatkan penilaian “sangat baik” untuk aspek isi dan bahasa serta penilaian “baik” untuk aspek penyajian dari ahli materi. Sedangkan dari ahli media mendapatkan penilaian “sangat baik” untuk setiap aspek. Kemudian setelah media diujikan kepada mahasiswa, media mendapatkan respon “sangat baik” dari setiap aspek penilaian.

This research aims to determine the difficulties of students in solving story problems on social arithmetic material for class VII Junior High School. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects were students of class VII D State Junior High School 1 West Malakat. There are three kinds of students’ ability in this research, namely: low, medium, and high. Data collection techniques used are test, interview, and documentation. The instruments in this study were test questions and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the research analysis, there are three conclusions, namely: 1) the student who has high score has been able to understand the concept well but the student still found difficulties on applying principles and verbal problems, 2) the student who has medium score has been able to understand the concept, but the student still found difficulties on applying principles and verbal problems, and 3) the student who has low score has not been able to understand the concept and apply the principles and also found difficulties on answering verbal problems.

Abstrak: Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan dan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa/siswi anak berkebutuhan khusus tentang bangun datar, kubus, dan balok. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SDLB Negeri Benpasi Kefamenanu yang berada di Kelurahan Benpasi, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Yang menjadi peserta dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah 15 orang siswa/siswi SDLB Negeri Benpasi Kefamenanu. Pelaksanaan pelatihan ini terdiri dari dua tahap: tahap pra kegiatan dan kegiatan. Tahap pra kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelaksanaan survey awal untuk mengetahui gambaran pembelajaran matematika anak berkebutuhan khusus jenjang sekolah dasar serta kendala yang dialami. Tahap kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan angket tanggapan peserta. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diperoleh informasi bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif dari peserta. Melalui pelatihan penggunaan media pembelajaran fun math yang disajikan, cukup menambah pengetahuan dan wawasan peserta yang dalam hal ini anak berkebutuhan khusus sehingga termotivasi untuk terus belajar guna peningkatan kemampuan akademik peserta di bidang matematika.Abstract: This training activity aimed to introduce and improve understanding of children with special needs about flat shapes, cubes, and blocks. This activity was carried out at the SDLB Negeri Benpasi Kefamenanu, located in Benpasi Village, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The participants in this training activity were 15 students of SDLB Negeri Benpasi Kefamenanu. The implementation of this training consisted of two stages: pre-activity and activity stages. The pre-activity stage was carried out through the implementation of an initial survey to find out the description of mathematics learning for children with special needs at the elementary school level and the obstacles experienced. The activity stage was carried out through training and evaluating. The evaluation was carried out using a participant response questionnaire. Based on the evaluation results, it can be obtained information that this training activity received a positive response from the participants. Through training in the use of fun math learning media, it is sufficient to increase the knowledge and insight of participants, in this case children with special needs, so that they are motivated to continue learning in order to improve the participants' academic abilities in the field of mathematics.Keywords: Learning Media; Children With Special Needs; Fun Math

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMPS Gita Surya Eban yang berada di Desa Eban, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Yang menjadi peserta dalam kegiatan ini adalah 14 orang guru. Pelaksanaan sosialisasi ini dibagi menjadi tahap pra kegiatan dan kegiatan. Tahap pra kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelaksanaan survey awal untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan penelitian guru serta kendala yang dialami. Selanjutnya tahap kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi dan evaluasi. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan angket tanggapan peserta. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diperoleh informasi bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi ini mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif dari peserta. Peserta berharap dapat dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan lanjutan sehingga peserta dapat menghasilkan proposal penelitian dan karya tulis ilmiah. This activity was carried out at the Gita Surya Eban SMPS in Eban village, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The participants in this activity were 14 teachers. The implementation of this socialization is divided into pre-activity and activity stages. The pre-activity stage was carried out through the implementation of an initial survey to find out an overview of the implementation of teacher research and the obstacles experienced. Furthermore, the activity stage is carried out through socialization and evaluation. The evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire for the responses of the participants. Based on the results of the evaluation, information was obtained that this socialization activity received positive responses from the participants. Participants hope that further training and mentoring activities can be carried out so that participants can produce research proposals and scientific papers.
