Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Instagram social media, brand ambassadors, and product quality on purchasing decisions for specific skincare products, incorporating an Islamic perspective. The novelty lies in its integration of these factors while emphasizing the dominant role of product quality over social media influence. Using purposive sampling, the study surveyed 100 respondents. Data analysis was conducted through multiple regression analysis, including t-tests and F-tests. The results revealed that (1) Instagram has a positive but marginal impact on purchasing decisions, (2) brand ambassadors also have a slight positive effect, and (3) product quality has a significant and positive impact on consumer decisions. Furthermore, all variables collectively have a significant influence on purchasing behavior. From a managerial perspective, these findings suggest that businesses should leverage Instagram by producing visually engaging content that resonates with their target audience. Additionally, selecting brand ambassadors who align with the company’s values and exhibit strong social influence can improve brand credibility and consumer trust. Most importantly, focusing on product quality, in accordance with Islamic values of honesty and integrity, plays a crucial role in shaping consumer choices and fostering long-term brand loyalty.

Abstract

There were many incidents of cold-formed steel roof truss structures in the last 5 years in Indonesia. Various kinds of allegations have been addressed to cold-formed steel material applications especially in the case of seismic resistance. Some of them concern the authenticity of the steel material itself and the selection of cold formed steel material. On the other hand, recently, people have installed (assembled) cold-formed steel trusses without involving a certified cold-formed steel applicator. This research is based on a numerical study that modeled the collapse pattern of cold-formed steel truss roof structures by considering buckling failure and the seismic load capacity. The cold-formed steel roof truss structure was modeled with 3D-truss elements in two model types: the overall structure and a single compression member element in 3D solid idealization. Buckling analysis with eigenvalue and nonlinear static analysis was performed to evaluate the critical load (Pcr). The buckling mode shape also was also compared with the mode shape of modal analysis. This research also evaluated the effect of seismic load on the overall cold-formed steel truss structure and the slenderness of the compression member. The numerical simulation of cyclic loading on the single compression member was conducted in this research. The numerical analysis results showed that cold-formed steel roof truss structure have high vulnerability to seismic hazard effect. The cold-formed steel material has lower ductility than hot rolled steel material. This causes the lateral displacement that occurs to be lower than the displacement produced by the hysteretic curve of numerical cyclic simulation. This research also evaluated the dynamic properties, such as frequency, periods, and mode shapes, of some typical cold-formed steel for roof truss structure.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of farmer groups in preventing corruption of village funds, using a case study in Manyar Village, Lamongan Regency. The research employs a combination of normative and empirical legal approaches by examining relevant legal regulations and field findings based on direct community involvement. The results reveal that while the disbursement and use of village funds procedurally comply with existing laws, community participation in budget oversight remains limited. Farmer groups, traditionally perceived as agricultural production units, have demonstrated potential as informal agents in monitoring village projects. These findings indicate that their involvement in verifying physical project implementation and reporting discrepancies has helped reduce the risk of corruption. The scientific contribution of this research lies in recognizing local actors as key players in participatory governance and grassroots-based integrity systems. The study advocates for policy reforms that formally integrate farmer groups into village fund oversight frameworks to promote greater transparency and accountability in rural financial governance.

Abstract

Economists argue that positivism refers to science and economic activities should be value-free. This means that the norm variable is not included as a variable that has an important meaning for both output and production input. This is not the case with Islamic economics, which firmly states that economic activity is bound to value or is not value-free. This research aims to show evidence of shirkah or profit-sharing contracts and to dissect how elements of values and ethics accompany the business activities of Indonesian farming communities. The method used is a qualitative approach with case study techniques. Literature studies are also used to strengthen the validation and triangulation stages. This research shows that Shirkah contracts are found in agricultural activities in various regions in Indonesia, including those known as maro (50:50), mertelu (1:3), etc. Shirkah, as one of the contracts in Sharia finance, is an actual implementation of enforcing norms and ethics. The Shirkah contract manages the risks inherent in all business cycles, both during profits and losses, which is typical in all sectors. Shirkah contracts systematically work and control competition and business risks with an ethical and normative approach. The Shirkah contract also suppresses economic injustice and unequal distribution of resources and business profits. The domino effect of the values of the sharia contract is not only limited to production-sharing agreements between sharecroppers and land owners but also spreads to the spirit values of sale and purchase (Murabaha) and rental (ijarah) agreements and includes broad implications for all aspects life. Farmers and cultivators are actively involved in upholding the values of justice, risk sharing, and togetherness in facing the cycle of profit and loss that automatically occurs as a lifestyle. Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to compare the history, goals, and models of multicultural education in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Indonesia. The study focuses on analyzing the similarities and differences in multicultural education approaches in the three countries through qualitative research using a desk study method. Data sources were obtained from journals, books, policy documents, and the latest scientific publications (2019–2025), then analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify themes, concepts, and evolving patterns of approaches. The results show that multicultural education in the United States emerged as a response to racial discrimination in the 1960s, while in the United Kingdom it developed rapidly due to the large influx of immigration after World War II. In Indonesia, multicultural education has strengthened since the 1998 Reformation era as a strategy to address ethnic and religious diversity and potential social conflict. This study recommends that Indonesia needs to develop a multicultural education model based on an inclusive curriculum, a pedagogy of equality, and an empowering school culture to strengthen social cohesion and tolerance.
