Abstract

To overcome the fossil energy crisis due to the increasing need for electrical energy, new renewable energy sources are needed. Due to technological developments in the fields of transportation, industry, household, and commercial use. Indonesia’s geography has the potential to apply new renewable energy, more specifically photovoltaic (PV). However, it is greatly influenced by environmental factors such as solar radiation, voltage, which have an impact on the output power efficiency and performance. So, it is necessary to test both measurements and calculations to see the optimization of output power and PV efficiency. From previous research, it has not been carried out, especially in the experimental method Universitas Pamulang: measurement and empirical and for a sufficiently high capacity with the aim of optimal output power. Methods of measuring sunlight intensity, voltage and current, the calculation of converting sunlight intensity to solar constellation, power, efficiency, and performance ratio (PR). The average value being 721 W/m2 an efficiency value of 19.9% and a value PR is obtained of 0.967 or 96.7% is still realistic. So that the system is declared optimal.

Abstract

Predictive industrial machine maintenance techniques have been applied in the industrial world, one of which is induction motors. The problem that occurs with induction motors is misalignment, namely damage caused by misalignment between the motor clutch and the blower load clutch. Analysis and data collection is carried out while the motorbike is operating. The resulting vibration and spectrum signals aim to facilitate data analysis according to the type of damage and vibration characteristics. Use of ADASH vibration equipment with digital diagnostics system (DDS) software and repair of misalignment using shaft alignment equipment using the laser method. The resulting data is an initial horizontal offset data value of 0.20 mm and a vertical offset of 0.17 mm. Misalignment correction produces a vertical value with an angular side of 0.00 mm, and an offset of -0.02. Meanwhile, the horizontal section has an angular side value of -0.02 mm, and an offset side of 0.01 which results in the excellent category with an operating speed of 3000 RPM. Vibration data with loads after repairs were carried out, the vibration measurement results showed that horizontal side DE was 0.55 mm/s, vertical DE 0.23 mm/s, axial DE 0.54 mm/s, horizontal NDE 0.43 mm/s, vertical NDE 0.25 mm/s, and Axial NDE 0.57 mm/s. Repairs are carried out based on vibration values in tests with loads in zone A (new machine condition) based on ISO 10816-3 standards.

Abstract

The use of electricity must be paid more attention so that there is no overrun of electricity costs. Because of these problems, the author took the title Analysis of electrical power measurement and calculation with web-based system monitoring in industrial areas. This study uses a calculation and measurement research methodology. After measurements and calculations are carried out with system monitoring, the results of the calculation of electrical power measurements and observations are obtained by analyzing the percentage of error values from the comparison of values obtained from the measurement results using the energy monitoring system with the value of the measurement results using the Power monitoring sensor (PMS) and calculations using formulas. The final result of this study was obtained from the results of monitoring voltage, current, power, and power factor. For the results of the analysis of the percentage of electrical power error values, it was carried out by comparing the calculation of Power Monitoring Sensor (PMS) with Energy Monitoring System (EMS) with a monitoring time of 3 months, the first month had an error value of 0.6%, the second month had an error value of 0.2%, and the second month had an error value of 0.1%. Thus, the difference in error values is quite small, it can be concluded that this tool is said to be quite good in monitoring the use of electrical power in industrial areas.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk menyampaikan dan mengimplementasikan ilmu elektro kepada masyarakat khususnya jama’ah pada musholla Nurul Yaqin di Pandeglang. Penggunaan metode dalam kegiatan PkM adalah dengan melakukan survei, perencanaan material, pelaksanaan dan finishing kegiatan. Didalam pelaksanaan kegiatan PkM melibatkan beberapa Dosen, Mahasiswa, masyarakat setempat, anggota dan ketua DKM. Proses pelaksanaan instalasi meliputi area ruangan didalam dan luar musholla. Pekerjaan yang dilakukan adalah mengganti kabel dan memperbaiki jalur instalasi yang sudah ada dengan menambahkan proteksi/pengaman pada kabel, serta memperbaiki supply power listrik utama dari kWh meter. Setelah kegiatan PkM selesai dilakukan terdapat laporan akhir dan luaran yang harus diselesaikan untuk memenuhi kewajiban Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Luaran yang dihasilkan selain hasil dari implementasi instalasi listrik sesuai standar PUIL 2000 yaitu jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat

Abstract

Pamulang University is located in the South Tangerang area consisting of three buildings and 6 faculties and 5 of them are engineering faculties. Currently implementing Solar Panels is being carried out by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, namely the application of new renewable energy sources. Installation of a solar power plant with a capacity of 50 KWP On-Grid is used as a provider of electricity for building lighting. The purpose of calculating the number of arrays is to determine the area and output power of the arranged solar panels. The problems faced before installation are the number of solar panels that will be arranged in the rooftop area, the amount of solar radiation and the output power. The use of research methods through the stages of calculation, monitoring, and standardization references was carried out for two weeks. The measuring instrument used in the research is the Seaward Solar Survey 200R, while the Global Solar Atlas (GSA) is used as a reference for insolation values in December 2022. The calculation results for the area of the array are 325.62 m², the PLTS electrical energy (EL) calculation is 393, 12 kWh, GSA of 6.14 kWh /m²/day, temperature correction factor (TCF) of 0.96, number of PLTS 102 solar panels with 6 PV strings, highest inverter output of 272.8 kWh and lowest value of 133.2 kWh

Abstract

This activity aims to provide education related to the design and installation of electrical systems that not only prioritize safety aspects but also refer to applicable safety standards, such as the General Requirements for Electrical Installations (PUIL) 2011 and the Indonesian National Standard (SNI). The primary emphasis is placed on the importance of designing electrical systems that comply with technical standards to minimize the risk of electrical hazards. The evaluation of the implementation refers to the analysis of power requirements and technical regulations to ensure that the design meets standards, thereby improving user safety and ensuring long-term system reliability. Compliance with established safety procedures is a preventive measure against potential electrical system failures that are generally caused by design errors, use of inappropriate materials, or inadequate implementation of safety principles.Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi terkait perancangan dan pemasangan sistem kelistrikan yang tidak hanya mengedepankan aspek keamanan, tetapi juga mengacu pada standar keselamatan yang berlaku, seperti Persyaratan Umum Instalasi Listrik (PUIL) 2011 dan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI). Penekanan utama diberikan pada pentingnya merancang sistem kelistrikan yang sesuai dengan standar teknis guna meminimalkan risiko bahaya listrik. Evaluasi pelaksanaan mengacu pada analisis kebutuhan daya dan regulasi teknis, dengan harapan bahwa penerapan desain yang sesuai standar akan meningkatkan keselamatan pengguna serta menjamin keandalan sistem dalam jangka panjang. Kepatuhan terhadap prosedur keselamatan yang telah ditetapkan menjadi langkah preventif terhadap potensi kegagalan sistem listrik yang umumnya disebabkan oleh kesalahan desain, penggunaan material yang tidak sesuai, maupun penerapan prinsip keselamatan yang tidak memadai.

Abstract

Penyimpanan makanan dalam jangka panjang sering menghadapi permasalahan ketidakstabilan suhu yang disebabkan oleh kerusakan sistem atau human error. Ketidakstabilan suhu ini berdampak pada penurunan kualitas dan kelayakan makanan untuk dikonsumsi. Namun, sistem pendingin konvensional umumnya belum dilengkapi sistem monitoring real-time yang efektif, sehingga pengawasan kondisi suhu dan kelembaban tidak optimal. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini mengusulkan rancangan mesin pendingin berbasis sistem kompresi uap yang dilengkapi fitur Internet of Things (IoT) sebagai sistem monitoring suhu dan kelembaban secara real-time. Proses penelitian meliputi perancangan dimensi, desain ruangan, serta pengujian kestabilan suhu dalam ruang penyimpanan makanan. Pemantauan suhu dilakukan menggunakan sensor yang terhubung ke platform IoT, sehingga data kondisi suhu dan kelembaban dapat diakses kapan saja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu minimum sebelum sistem beroperasi berkisar antara 31°C hingga 31,8°C. Setelah sistem bekerja, suhu rata-rata ruang penyimpanan dapat dijaga stabil di sekitar 5°C. Data hasil monitoring menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu menjaga kestabilan suhu dengan baik serta mendukung efisiensi energi. Dengan penggunaan bahan bekas dalam konstruksi, sistem ini tidak hanya hemat biaya, tetapi juga memberikan solusi inovatif sebagai media pendingin makanan yang hemat energi dan ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

The revitalization of the water level control system and the renovation of the ablution area are strategic efforts to improve the quality of worship facilities at Mushola Nurul Yaqin, Sindang Laut Village, Banten. The previous water control system was inefficient, leading to water wastage and unstable supply, while the damaged ablution area reduced comfort and safety for worshippers. This activity aimed to redesign an automatic water control system using sensors and a microcontroller, as well as to renovate the ablution infrastructure using more durable and functional materials. The implementation results showed that the system could regulate water levels efficiently and in real-time, while the improved ablution facilities provided greater comfort for users. This project has had a positive impact on efficient water management, enhanced worship services, and supports the sustainability of religious facilities within the community.

Abstract

The grounding system in a Solar Power Plant installation has an important role as a safeguard against external disturbances such as overcurrent and overvoltage due to lightning strikes or internal disturbances. Considering that solar modules are installed in open areas and at certain heights, the grounding system is crucial to protect equipment and personnel. This study discusses the design of a 100 kWp On-Grid PLTS grounding system at Pamulang University, including external lightning rod planning using the Early Streamer Emission (ESE) method with the NFC 17-102 standard and the rolling sphere calculation method based on IEC 62305-3. The calculation results show that the lightning rod protection radius in building B is 117.79 meters with a lightning rod height of 6 meters. The initial grounding resistance value of 11.6 Ω was obtained from a single vertical electrode 3 meters deep. To achieve a resistance value below 5 Ω according to the PUIL 2011 standard, equipotential bonding between floors and between electrodes is required. This research is expected to be a reference in designing lightning protection and grounding systems for PLTS installations in the Pamulang University environment.

Abstract

This research presents the reliability testing of serial communication in Dynalite lighting control systems with adjustable voltage levels. The study began with the design and implementation of a DALI-based topology, followed by practical installation and measurement of output voltages at different control levels (10%, 20%, 40%, 80%, and 100%). The results confirmed that the output voltage correlated proportionally with the configured percentage level, demonstrating stable driver performance in regulating lamp brightness. Furthermore, comparative testing at different baud rates, namely 9600bps and 115200bps, was conducted to evaluate communication stability. The findings revealed that 9600bps provided higher reliability and minimal error, while 115200bps offered faster response but with a higher risk of instability. These results emphasize the importance of selecting appropriate voltage and baud rate configurations to ensure both efficiency and robustness in lighting control systems.
