Abstract

The use of fossil fuels is now increasing while these resources will be used up if used continuously and these energy resources require a long process to be reused. Alternative energy sources and renewable energy reserves in Indonesia are quite large, but their development has not been optimal because of the geographical gap between the location of energy supply and demand and high technology investment to develop new renewable energy-based technologies and the application of new renewable energy technologies, especially in the electricity sector and as fuel. Based on research that has been carried out on the mechanics of involute inward vortex inflows, the optimal size of the impeller height has not yet been found. This study uses an experimental research method, namely by making a vortex turbine with a straight-section blade type that has a blade height of 180 mm, 210 mm and 240 mm with a water capacity of 10.1471 L / s. loading variations used 3 kg, 3.5 kg, 4 kg, 4.5 kg, 5 kg, 5.5 kg and 6 kg. Tests will be carried out with the above variables on torque, mechanical power and vortex turbine efficiency. The results obtained that the height of the impeller 210 mm has torque, mechanical power and optimal efficiency than the impeller height of 180 mm and 240 mm. The highest mechanical power produced by turbines with an impeller height of 210 mm at a capacity of 10.1471 L / s with a load of 6 kg has a mechanical power of 24.28 watts. The highest efficiency is owned by turbines with a height of 210 mm occurred at a capacity of 10.1471 L / s with a loading of 6 kg, having an efficiency of 37.93%. This is because by adding the height of the impeller to the turbine, the area of ​​the blade affected by the impact of the water fluid becomes more, even when given the turbine loading conditions are not completely submerged. The more blade area submerged by fluid has a more significant influence on the power and efficiency produced than turbines that are resistant to loading even though the turbine is perfectly submerged.

Abstract

Electroless plating merupakan pelapisan tanpa listrik proses ini merupakan tahap akhir dengan meningkatkan sifat seperti daya tahan korosi, daya temperatur tinggi. Temperatur yang di gunakan dalam proses electroless plating nikel 95°C sehingga mengakibatkan tangki cepat terplating sehingga konsentrasi nikel cepat menurun. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui temperatur dan waktu pelapisan yang ideal untuk mendapatkan hasil ketebalan dan kekerasan yang standar. Sehingga penelitian ini bisa mengurangi tangki terplating dan memerpanjang umur konsentrasi nikel. Proses penelitian electroless plating ini menggunakan temperatur 80°C, 85°C, dan 90°C dengan variasi waktu 30 menit, 40 menit, dan 50 menit. Analisis menggunakan pengukuran ketebalan lapisan menggunakan Mesin X-Ray dan pengukuran kekerasan lapisan plating menggunakan Mesin Hardness vickers. Hasil yang di dapat dari pencarian temperatur dan waktu yang ideal dengan menggunakan temperatur 85°C dan waktu 30 menit yaitu dengan tebal 0,008 mm atau 8 µm dan di panaskan dengan suhu 330°C dengan waktu konstan 60 menit yaitu dengan kekerasan 800 HV. Dan hasil ketebalan lapisan yang baik dapat dilihat pada pengujian struktur micro dengan menggunakan media mikroskop keyence.

Abstract

Perairan Tukak memiliki keanekaragaman hayati yang tinggi, termasuk populasi hiu yang terancam akibat aktivitas antropogenik yang intensif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi karakteristik morfometrik dan meristik hiu yang tertangkap dengan jaring insang serta menganalisis status konservasinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Juli 2024 di Dermaga Tukak, Kabupaten Bangka Selatan. Pengumpulan data mencakup panjang total (TL), panjang prekaudal (SL), panjang cagak (FL), dan berat. Selanjutnya, dilakukan identifikasi spesies hiu yang ditemukan di perairan Tukak, Bangka Selatan, dan dibandingkan dengan daftar IUCN serta CITES untuk menilai tingkat ancaman dan regulasi perdagangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua individu Atelomycterus marmoratus yang tertangkap berjenis kelamin betina (40"“43 cm TL), sedangkan dua individu Chiloscyllium punctatum jantan berukuran 40"“42 cm TL. Kedua spesies ini belum mencapai kematangan seksual, yang mengindikasikan eksploitasi sebelum usia reproduksi. Spesies ini dikategorikan sebagai Near Threatened oleh IUCN. Hasil penelitian ini mendukung kebijakan konservasi dan perlindungan habitat hiu. Edukasi kepada nelayan mengenai pengurangan tangkapan sampingan (bycatch) dan pelepasan hiu perlu ditingkatkan. Keterbatasan penelitian mencakup jumlah sampel yang terbatas dan cakupan geografis yang sempit. Jika identifikasi visual tidak memungkinkan, metode DNA barcoding dapat digunakan untuk memastikan identifikasi spesies hiu secara akurat di perairan Tukak, Bangka Selatan.

Abstract

Coral reefs play an important role as marine habitat, but are threatened by climate change and human activities. The Tuing Marine Conservation Area, which still has a relatively good coral reef ecosystem, needs to be evaluated to ensure the effectiveness of conservation and support sustainable management. This research evaluates the condition of coral reefs, coral fish biomass and the relationship between coral reefs and coral reef fish in the Tuing Marine Conservation Area located in Tuing Hamlet, Mapur Village, Bangka Regency. Data collection was carried out in March 2024 at three coral reef locations using the underwater photo transect method to observe the percentage of coral cover and the visual census and visual census methods to observe coral reef fish. The average live coral cover is 60.21%, included in the good category. The density of coral fish is 4,905 individuals per hectare with a total of 10 – 14 species. Reef fish biomass is 65.51 kg per hectare. The relationship between coral reefs and coral fish shows that the better the condition of the coral reef, the higher the number of species and biomass of coral fish. These findings highlight the importance of preserving coral reef ecosystems to support biodiversity and sustain fisheries. Conservation efforts should focus on reducing anthropogenic activities, increasing public awareness, and implementing effective management and rehabilitation strategies
