Abstract

Stunting adalah kegagalan pertumbuhan akibat kekurangan gizi jangka panjang sejak dalam kandungan sampai bayi lahir. Masa balita merupakan suatu periode penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak karena masa balita yang akan menentukan perkembangan anak di masa selanjutnya. Ketepatan pemberian makan pada balita dapat dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi karena ibu sebagai tombak dalam penyedia makanan untuk keluarga. Desain Penelitian menggunakan Desain Quasi Exsperimental Pretest Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design dengan total 36 sampel yang diberikan edukasi selama 3 minggu. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon dan uji mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan pada kelompok perlakuan sebesar 30 poin, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol hanya meningkat 5,09 poin. Pada kelompok perlakuan pengaruh edukasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dengan hasil nilai p = 0,000 < α = 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol nilai p = 0,102 > α = 0,05, sehingga H0 diterima. Pengaruh edukasi gizi seimbang dengan media buku saku terhadap sikap pada kelompok perlakuan dengan nilai yang dihasilkan p = 0,000 < α = 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak, sedangkan kelompok kontrol nilai p = 0,775 > α = 0,05, sehingga H0 diterima. Kesimpulan penelitian terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan edukasi gizi seimbang dengan media buku saku terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap pada kelompok perlakuan, sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol tanpa pemberian edukasi buku saku gizi seimbang tidak ada pengaruh edukasi gizi seimbang dengan media buku saku terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap. Terdapat perbedaan pengaruh edukasi gizi seimbang dengan media buku saku terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kelompok kontrol.

Abstract

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a global health issue that can lead to severe complications, including cardiovascular disease, neuropathy, and retinopathy. The rising incidence of DM is often linked to unhealthy dietary habits and lifestyle choices. Recent studies indicate that consuming foods high in soluble fiber can improve glycemic control by slowing glucose absorption. Objective: This study aims to evaluate the sensory characteristics of "Sweet Potasoy" cookies as an alternative snack for individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Research Methods: The study employed a pre-experimental design, utilizing a hedonic sensory test conducted by 20 untrained panelists outpatient patients diagnosed with DM. Research Result: The findings reveal that 85% of panelists strongly liked the color of cookies P3. For taste, 30% of panelists strongly liked P3, while 65% indicated they liked it. Additionally, 90% of panelists preferred the texture of P3, rating it as liked or enormously liked, with all panelists providing ratings of liked or enormously liked for product P3. Conclusion: Overall, cookies P3 emerged as the most favored product across all evaluated parameters, followed by P2 and P1.

Abstract

Background : Anemia is a body condition in which the level of hemoglobin in the blood is below normal or is experiencing a decrease. Based on the 2018 Riskesdas data, the prevalence of anemia in adolescents is 32%, meaning that 3-4 out of 10 adolescents suffer from anemia. The percentage of young women consuming iron tablets <52 was 98.6%, while young women consuming iron tablets > 52 was 1.4% (Ministry of Health, 2018). Research Methods: The research method used is analytic observational, with a cross-sectional research design. The sample used was 33 young women who had anemia. Research Results: Description of the level of knowledge is 10 (30.3%). Less than 13 people (39.4%) and 10 students who have a good level of knowledge (30.3%). The average attitude level is 14 (42.4%). The attitude level is less than 5 (15.2%) and 5 students have a good attitude level (15.2%). Description Action Level is being there are 9 people (27.3%). Less action rate as many as 19 students (57.6%). Good action as much as 5 students (15.2%). The nutritional status description of the sample is 27 female students who have a good nutritional status level (82%). There were 2 undernourished students (6%), 2 students who were in the overnutrition category (6%), 2 students who were in the Obesity category (6%). Conclusion: The highest level of knowledge is in the less category, 13 people with a percentage of 39%. The highest level of attitude in the medium category is 14 people with a percentage of 42.4%. and the highest level of action was in the less category, namely 57.6%, and the highest nutritional status was in the good category, namely 27 people with a percentage of 82%. Abstract

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is giving only breast milk to babies aged 0-6 months without giving additional liquids such as formula milk, orange juice, honey, tea, water without additional solid foods such as bananas, papaya, porridge, milk, biscuits and Nasi Tim, but not many mothers are willing to give exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months as suggested by the world health organization (Haryono and Setianigsih, 2018). In 2018 the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia was 29.5% with the lowest coverage (Ministry of Health RI, 2018). Research objectives: To find out the description of family support, mother's knowledge, and exclusive breastfeeding in Sintung Village, Pringgarata District, Central Lombok Regency. Research method: The research used is analytic research with a cross-sectional approach, namely research by measuring, observing at the same time between the dependent variable and the independent variable (one time). Results: Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there is a positive relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers and the decision to exclusively breastfeed toddlers, in other words, the lack of exclusive breastfeeding rates in Sintung Village, one of which is due to the lack of knowledge of mothers about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding for toddlers. And there is also a positive relationship between family support and the decision to exclusively breastfeed toddlers, in other words, the lack of exclusive breastfeeding in Sintung Village, one of which is due to the lack of family support for mothers who have toddlers. Research results: Based on the research conducted, it was found that out of 64 respondents, only 31 respondents (48.4%) said that toddlers in their families were exclusively breastfed. On the other hand, 33 respondents (51.6%) said that infants in their families were not exclusively breastfed. Based on the samples surveyed, it can be said that the rate of exclusive breastfeeding in Sintung Village is still not high enough. Differences in the level of knowledge of mothers significantly affect the decision of exclusive breastfeeding for toddlers, where the better the level of knowledge of mothers, there is a high tendency to provide exclusive breastfeeding for toddlers. Likewise, differences in family support significantly affect the decision to provide exclusive breastfeeding for toddlers, where with family support, there is a high tendency to provide exclusive breastfeeding for toddlers.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Stunting masih menjadi masalah di Indonesia, termasuk dalam triple burden dengan masalah wasting dan obesitas. Pemberdayaan masyarakat sebagai bentuk intervensi secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan perubahan perilaku. Kecamatan Gunungsari merupakan daerah lokus untuk penanganan stunting di wilayah Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Perlu berbagai upaya untuk mengatasi masalah stunting dengan edukasi gizi untuk pemberdayaan remaja untuk dapat menjadi kader milenial, sehingga dapat menjadi agen perubahan di lingkungan setempat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di Desa Jatisela Kabupaten Lombok Barat pada bulan Juli 2023. Kegiatan terdiri dari pelatihan antropometri dan pemberian edukasi gizi seimbang. Peserta kegiatan ini adalah remaja yang berusia 15-18 tahun yang mewakili semua dusun di wilayah Desa jatisela. Edukasi gizi Mengenai materi gizi remaja, ibu hamil dan gizi ibu menyusui dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan kader remaja dari 51% dan menjadi 79%. Hasil penilaian keterampilan Menggunakan alat ukur tinggi badan, panjang badan dan pengukuran berat badan menjadi terampil menggunakan alat untuk semua peserta. Rekomendasi kegiatan tindak lanjut adalah memberikan kesempatan kepada para peserta untuk ikut dalam proses pemberian edukasi dan pengukuran antropometri kepada para kader remaja milenial dengan tujuan untuk screening atau penapisan dini terhadap kejadian stunting. Kata Kunci: Antropometri, Edukasi Gizi, Remaja, Pemberdayaan  ABSTRACT Stunting is still a problem in Indonesia, including the triple burden of wasting and obesity. Community empowerment as a form of intervention can indirectly increase understanding and change behavior. Gunungsari District is the locus area for handling stunting in the West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Various efforts are needed to overcome the stunting problem with nutritional education to empower teenagers to become millennial cadres, so that they can become agents of change in the local environment. This community service activity was carried out in Jatisela Village, West Lombok Regency in July 2023. The activity consisted of anthropometry training and providing balanced nutrition education. Participants in this activity are teenagers aged 15-18 years who represent all hamlets in the Jatisela Village area. Nutrition education regarding adolescent nutrition, pregnant mothers and breastfeeding mothers' nutrition can increase knowledge of adolescent cadres from 51% to 79%. The results of the skill assessment using height, body length and weight measurement tools have become skilled in using tools for all participants. The recommendation for follow-up activities is to provide opportunities for participants to take part in the process of providing education and anthropometric measurements to millennial youth cadres with the aim of screening or early screening for stunting incidents.s. Keywords: Anthropometry, Nutrition Education, Teenager, Empowerment
