Abstract

AbstractDengue fever is one of the most infectious diseases in the world, according to data issued by the World Health Organization in 2014. It is responsible for a huge number of deaths each year around the world, particularly in tropical nations. The dengue virus (DENV) causes dengue fever, which is spread by the female Aedes aegypti mosquito. We provide a mathematical model of dengue fever transmission through hospitalization with optimal management in this paper. Before being simulated in MATLAB, this optimum control problem is numerically resolved. Vaccination, pesticide use, and prevention are all examples of optimal control in this study. The simulation results demonstrate that dengue infection can be considerably reduced by vaccination, pesticide use, and prevention. Keywords: Dengue fever; Mathematical modelling; Optimal control. 2020MSC: 00A71, 92B05.

Abstract

This research was conducted on class This study is quantitative research. The data obtained in this research is from the initial test (pretest) and final test (posttest) by taking samples from class X3 as the experimental class and X5 as the control class. The data analysis techniques used are normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. In the decision making criteria for the Mann Whitney U-Test, it is said that if the value of Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05 then

Abstract

This research aims to determine the creative thinking ability of students in arranging and solving contextual problems on arithmetic sequence. This research is a descriptive quantitative study through a Lesson Study framework with a subject of 18 students of the Mathematics Education study program at the Islamic University of Lamongan. The instruments in this study include attitude assessment sheets used to measure student activity in participating in learning and Student Worksheets used to measure students' creative thinking ability in arranging and solving contextual problems on arithmetic sequences. The results of the analysis show that the average score of student activities during learning is 85.13% while the average score of students' creative thinking ability is 71.875% in the Enough category.

Abstract

This development research aims to describe the quality of learning media for Student Worksheets (LKPD) with a contextual approach to class VIII statistics material. The quality of development products is assessed based on: 1) aspects of validity, 2) aspects of practicality, and 3) aspects of effectiveness. The learning media development procedure refers to the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model. The subject of this study was a student of class VIII MTs Bahrul Ulum Blawi Lamogan. The instruments used to obtain data on the quality of the learning tools developed are: 1) LKPD validation sheets to measure validity, 2) questionnaires of student and teacher responses to measure practicality, 3) tests of student learning outcomes to measure effectiveness. The results of this development research show that the quality of the validity of learning media meeting the very valid criteria is indicated by an average score of 3.50 by media experts and an average score of 3.27 by material experts from a maximum score of 4. The quality of practicality of learning tools meeting practical criteria is indicated by the average student response score of 3.01 from a maximum score of 4, the average score of teacher responses which is 3.43 from a maximum score of 4. The quality of the effectiveness of learning tools is seen from the results of student learning tests with a percentage of student completion.
