Abstract

PT. Tira Austenite Tbk is one of the leading Trade Industry in Indonesia. Required to have good employees in accordance with the desired qualifications in order to improve company performance and be ready to face increasingly rapid industrial competition. Company leaders must motivate employees to have high discipline in order to achieve company goals. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership style (X1) on employee performance (Y), to determine the effect of work discipline (X2) on employee performance (Y). as well as knowing the effect of leadership style and work discipline on employee performance. This study used a quantitative method with a questionnaire distribution technique to obtain primary data from employees of the Steel Division of PT. Tira Austenite Tbk Pulogadung Branch. The sample of this research is 50 employees using saturated sampling technique. The results of this study found that the Leadership Style variable (X1) has a significant and positive effect on performance (Y) with a tcount value of 4.122 > ttable of 2.011 and a significant value of 0.00 <0.05. Work Discipline Variable (X2) has no significant and negative effect on Employee Performance (Y) with a tcount value of -0.889 < ttable of 2.011 and a significant value of 0.379 > 0.05. Leadership Style (X1) and Performance Discipline (X2) simultaneously influence Employee Performance (Y) in the steel division at PT.Tira Austenite Tbk Pulogadung branch.

Abstract

Bayesian Structural Equation Modeling (BSEM) is increasingly used in health and social research, yet its operating characteristics under district-level constraints remain under-documented when three difficulties co-occur: small sample sizes, heavy-tailed errors, and strong correlations among exogenous constructs. We evaluate BSEM robustness using a Monte Carlo simulation with a fixed full-mediation SEM comprising four latent variables (two exogenous constructs, a mediator, and an outcome) and three reflective indicators per construct. A balanced 2×2×2 design varies sample size (n ∈ {22, 75}), error family (Normal vs. Student-t with ν = 5, variance-matched), and exogenous correlation (ρ ∈ {0.30, 0.80}). For each scenario, R = 50 independent datasets are generated and fitted using MCMC (Stan/NUTS via blavaan). We summarize global fit via posterior predictive p-values (PPP), sampling quality via \hat{R} and effective sample size (ESS), and sampler diagnostics including divergent transitions, alongside parameter recovery via Monte Carlo bias, RMSE, and 95% credible-interval coverage for structural paths, mediated effects, and ρ. Across conditions, increasing n improves both parameter recovery and sampling behavior. The most fragile settings occur when n = 22 and ρ is high, where the parallel paths X1→M and X2→M become weakly identified and heavy-tailed errors can further degrade precision. These results provide practical guidance for applying BSEM to district-level studies with limited sample sizes.

Abstract

East Java has shown strong economic growth, which negatively affects its environmental quality. Analysis of the functional relationship between economic growth and environmental quality is important to direct the growth without further deteriorate the environmental quality in this area. It is assumed that growth produces some externalities on environmental quality. The spread of technological information, economic productivity, population growth or investment, can be the source of the growth externalities. The objective of this study is to test the significance of the involved growth externalities on East Java’s environmental quality. Using spatial data, the externalities are accommodated in a spatial version of the STIRPAT model. It is estimated using per city/regency 2015 data. The analysis indicates that local density, local agricultural productivity, neighboring density, and neighboring mining activity significantly affect the local environmental quality. The latter two are the main sources of the growth externalities.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has hit Indonesia since March 2020. Several policies have been issued by the Indonesian government to reduce the level of the spread of Covid-19. This policy has an impact on various fields of life, especially the economic sector in various sectors. This study was conducted to analyze the grouping of provinces whose economies are at risk of being affected by Covid-19 based on various economic sectors, namely the unemployment rate, the percentage of poor people, the provincial minimum wage, and the occupancy rate of hotels using cluster analysis. Cluster analysis was performed using several hierarchical methods, namely Simple, Complete, Average, and Centroid Linkage and Ward. The Cophenetic correlation coefficient (rCoph) was used to determine the best method, while the number of clusters was determined based on the Dunn, Connectivity, and Silhoutte indexes. The analysis result shows that Average Linkage is the best method with two clusters. The first cluster consists of all provinces in Indonesia except Papua, whose economy is highly at risk of being affected by Covid-19, characterized by a low percentage of the poor and a low provincial minimum wage, as well as high levels of open unemployment and hotel occupancy rates. Meanwhile, the second cluster consists of the Province of Papua, which is an economic group with a low risk of being affected by Covid-19. By looking at the impact of the Covid-19 disaster, the government can make recovery efforts and generalize economic recovery policies due to Covid-19 which have an impact on the economy of almost all provinces in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program is a government policy aimed at improving students' nutritional needs, health, and learning readiness. However, implementing this program still requires support from schools, especially teachers, as they play a direct role in assisting students in the school environment. This study aims to determine elementary school teachers' perceptions of the 2025 Free Nutritious Meal Program at SD Swasta Masehi Berastagi. This study used a descriptive, quantitative approach with a purposive sample of 25 teachers. Data were collected through a closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies, percentages, and score categories. The results showed that teachers' perceptions were in the very positive category. In the cognitive aspect, the majority of teachers understood the program's goals and benefits, with 68.10% agreeing and 14.29% strongly agreeing. In the affective aspect, teachers showed an attitude of acceptance and support for the program, with 68.78% agreeing and 20.11% strongly agreeing. Regarding psychomotor aspects, teachers were ready to act, with 71.98% agreeing and 17.67% strongly agreeing. In conclusion, the Free Nutritious Meal Program was well-received by teachers and has the potential to be implemented in schools. However, further outreach, technical strengthening, and supporting facilities are still needed.
