Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime country consisting of islands and has a vast water area with abundant natural resource potential, including fish. One way to process fish so that it doesn't rot easily is by panning. The reason for carrying out the fish processing process is so that the fish and fishery products have added value. The research method used is the hayami method to calculate added value. The basis for the initial calculation is the variable value for measuring added value for one production process such as output, input, labor, wages, average labor, raw material prices, and costs other than raw materials. The average revenue from products produced by the pindang fish agroindustry in Muncar District is IDR. 13,500/fish with an added value of Rp. 2,726/fish. The resulting value added ratio is 20.19. This means that the pindang fish business in Muncar District, Banyuwangi Regency is still profitable.

Abstract

Jember Regency has a local coffee product, namely Kopi Kahyangan. Kahyangan Coffee is a ground and roasted coffee product produced by the Perumda Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember with coffee raw materials originating from Perumda's coffee plantations. Production risks can occur if they are not anticipated. The aim of this research is to analyze operational risks arising from processed coffee production activities at Perumda Perkebunan Kahyangan Jember and develop efforts to overcome them. The research results show that of the 8 types of risk, 2 risks have an extreme risk level that requires risk management with immediate countermeasures. 4 risks have a high risk level that requires senior management attention in overcoming them. 2 risks have a moderate risk level which requires determining management responsibility for overcoming them.

Abstract

Fertilizer subsidy is one of the government's efforts so that farmers can access fertilizer needs for their farms at more affordable prices, so that it is expected to encourage increased agricultural production in order to achieve food security. Healthy rice crop is a process in rice cultivation that prioritizes the use of natural ingredients that are environmentally friendly in the sense that they remain effective but still maintain productivity, production and quality of agricultural products. This study aims to determine the comparison of whether the reduction of subsidized fertilizer policy will affect the use of fertilizers in Sukorambi Jember District. Sampling using quota sampling method as many as 40 samples, consisting of 20 farmer group members who apply healthy agriculture and 20 farmer group members who apply conventional agriculture. The results showed that the comparison of the use of organic fertilizer before and after the change in fertilizer subsidy policy increased. The use of urea and NPK fertilizers in healthy rice decreased, but the use of KCL and ZA fertilizers remained. While the use of urea, NPK, and KCL fertilizers on conventional rice increased, but the use of ZA fertilizer remained.

Abstract

The harvest season is the moment that farmers have been waiting for because they will get the results of their hard work over the past few months depending on what commodities are planted in the hope of getting maximum yields and high selling prices. The harvest produced by farmers in Banyuwangi Regency is quite abundant, especially dragon fruit, based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2022, it was recorded at 272,324.7 tons. The superior potential in the agricultural sector makes Banyuwangi Regency a supplier of food, especially dragon fruit. This cannot be separated from the intervention of the younger generation to work, especially in the field of post-harvest processing, so that farmers do not only sell raw goods. Through the Community Service (PKM) partnership program for SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng Banyuwangi students, it aims to improve students' abilities in exploiting opportunities for potential agricultural products, especially dragon fruit which will later be processed into fruit jam. It is hoped that this training will be able to grow the spirit of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 students. Banyuwangi roof tiles. From this training, students will be equipped to develop the agricultural potential in Banyuwangi Regency. This activity was carried out in the form of direct socialization and practice of making dragon fruit jam products, which was attended by 47 students. The results of observing this activity were that students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng Banyuwangi had never implemented the practice of making dragon fruit jam. This is based on the results of the pre-test, only 17% of students understand about making fruit jam products, after carrying out the training the level of understanding increased to 93% as evidenced by the results of the post-test. It is hoped that this training in making fruit jam products can foster an entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and innovation in students. Buah naga merupakan salah satu komoditas pertanian unggulan di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Berdasarkan data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) tahun 2022 hasil panen buah naga di Kabupaten Banyuwangi mencapai 272.324,7 ton sehingga menjadi salah daerah satu pemasok buah naga. Hasil panen buah naga yang melimpah menjadikan prospek olahan produk pasca panen menjanjikan karena bahan baku mudah didapatkan. Melalui program kemitraan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) Pada Siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng Banyuwangi bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam pemanfaatan peluang akan potensi hasil pertanian kususnya buah naga yang bisa diolah menjadi produk selai buah, diharapkan adanya pelatihan ini mampu menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan terhadap siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng Banyuwangi. Sehingga dari pelatihan tersebut akan menjadi bekal peserta didik untuk mengembangkan potensi pertanian yang ada di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan berupa sosialisasi dan praktek pembuatan produk selai buah naga secara langsung yang diikui oleh 47 siswa. Hasil dari observasi kegiatan tersebut siswa SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng Banyuwangi belum pernah melaksanakan praktek pembuatan selai buah naga. Hal ini dilandasi dari hasil pre-test hanya 17% siswa yang memahami tentang pembuatan produk selai buah, setelah melaksanakan pelatihan tingkat pemahaman meningkat menjadi 83% dibuktikan dari hasil pos-test. Pelatihan pembuatan produk olahan selai buah ini diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan jiwa entrepreneur, kreativitas, dan inovasi pada siswa.

Abstract

Penyangraian biji kopi industri secara manual membutuhan waktu yang relatif lama. Untuk mengatasi bagaimana proses penyangraian biji kopi lebih efektif maka dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penyangraian kopi secara modern dengan Smart Eco Roasting Machine. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas sistem kerja mesin dan penggunaan mesin. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Koperasi Ketakasi, Desa Sidomulyo, Kecamatan Silo, Kabupaten Jember dengan pertimbangan bahwa Koperasi Ketakasi merupakan salah satu eksportir kopi dan menjadi destinasi wisata. Analisis data menggunakan skala likert atau skoring terhadap indikator efektivitas sistem kerja dan penggunaan Smart Eco Roasting Machine. Langkah kerja Smart Eco Roasting Machine tidak rumit. Petani kopi sebagai pengguna bisa menyesuaikan suhu untuk menghasilkan jenis atau level roasting yang diharapkan. Smart Eco Roasting Machine efektif digunakan di Koperasi Ketakasi. Hasil uji coba pasar atau penggunaan Smart Eco Roasting Machine menunjukkan bahwa mesin masih dianggap menyebabkan polusi, sehingga perlu dievaluasi untuk penggunaan yang lebih baik ke depannya

Abstract

Di masa pandemi saat ini, tanaman hias menjadi salah satu komoditas yang popular dan banyak sekali diminati masyarakat dari berbagai kalangan, baik sebagai hobi, pereda stress, dan bahkan bentuk usaha atau bisnis. Kokedama merupakan salah satu teknik budidaya potless atau tanpa pot, sehingga dapat mengurangi penggunaan bahan plastik yang limbahnya cukup merugikan, yang juga dapat memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi pada tanaman hias. Tujuan dari pengabdian budidaya tanaman hias dengan teknik kokedama ini diharapkan masyarakat melalui ibu-ibu PKK Wirolegi sebagai penggerak, memiliki aktivitas yang kreatif guna mengurangi kejenuhan dimasa pandemi dan meningkatkan pendapatan harian melalui wirausaha tanaman hias unik dengan memanfaatkan limbah bahan organik di sekitar lingkungan Wirolegi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan salam bentuk sosialisasi dan pelatihan langsung pembuatan kokedama tanaman hias. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah seluruh peserta kegiatan pengabdian ini sangat antusias dalam mencoba langsung pembuatan kokedama. Dengan kreativitas dan jiwa seni pada masing-masing individu, menghasilkan bentukan kokedama yang sangat variatif. Ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Wirolegi mendapatkan pengetahuan mengenai budidaya tanaman hias potless melalui pembuatan kokedama, dan variasi pengembangan bentuk kokedama. Selain itu, mereka juga mendapatkan pengetahuan mengenai peluang usaha kokedama, sehingga berpotensi untuk menciptakan ecopreneurship di lingkungan kelurahan setempat.

Abstract

Decreasing of subsidy fertilizer policy caused high cost farming, because subsidy fretilizer is limited so farmers must buy by market price when they want more. In order to get enough income for fulfil family needs, farmers at Klungkung Village, Sub District of  Sukorambi, Jember Regency have to find a way for overcome this policy.  The choosen alternative is made liquid organic fertilizer by themselves as local wisdom to apply healthy paddy  farming, that is apply organic fertilizer beside inorganic fertilizer.  This study aimed to analyze: (1)  local wisdom ; (2) impact of decreasing of subsidy fertilizer policy to paddy farming production; dan (3) impact of decreasing of subsidy fertilizer policy to paddy farming income at  Klungkung Village, Sub District of  Sukorambi, Jember Regency. Study was done in reany planting season  2022-2023. Sampel was determined by Convenience Sampling, with 25 farmers of helathy paddy and 25 farmer of convensioanl paddy, which just use inorganic fertilizer for their plant. Descriptive analilysis, income anaysis and multiple regression analysis were used for reaching thoose goals. The result were: (1) local wisdom at Klungkung Village, Sub District of  Sukorambi, Jember Regency have for overcome decreasing of subsidy fertilizer policy is using “gotong royong” institution to make  liquid organic fertilizer by themselves to apply healthy paddy  farming by using potencia lnature  resouches around them.  “Gotong royong” is an old institution means working together for reaching benefit together; (2) healthy paddy farming income was Rp 19.031.278, higher than convencional paddy farming by Rp 22.311.573/ha and  significant at 5% test level; (3) healthy paddy farming production  was 1,19  higher  than convencional paddy farming and significant at 5% test level.
