Abstract

This study attempted to prove the influence of the use of the word square in teaching vocabulary at MTsN I South Tangerang City, i.e., to prove students’ ability of two classes, before and after using the learning model of word square in teaching learning vocabulary. The research is descriptive-quantitative using the experimental method. The sample of this study was the students of VIII-8 and VIII-11 class  in the academic year of 2016-2017. Data collection techniques were observation, interview, vocabulary test, and questionnaire for students of the experimental class. Based on the results of data analysis, the average score of the experimental class was 16,11 and the average score of the control class was 10,65. The score of to was 2,70 and the score of tt was 1,67;  then, to was greater than  tt. Thus, the use of learning model of word square in teaching vocabulary was significantly effective.

Abstract

One of the important elements of mastering Arabic is memorizing vocabulary. This is because vocabulary is related to the four language skills. The main impediment to learning Arabic motivation is a lack of vocabulary mastery. This study focuses on the description of the HelloTalk application in learning Arabic, especially in teaching vocabulary. This research covers the advantages and disadvantages of the HelloTalk application as a means of learning vocabulary. A qualitative approach and the application of triangulation are used to verify the data obtained. The data collection method used was observation and interviews to investigate the practice of teaching vocabulary in the HelloTalk application. The data analysis technique used in this research uses the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of the processes of data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The involvement of multiple instruments and participants makes the HelloTalk application review more comprehensive. HelloTalk as a learning tool that is popular and effective in learning vocabulary must be further developed so that the potential for language learning is increased and made more useful.

Abstract

يهدف هذا البحث إلى تطوير الأغاني العربية المستوحاة من الأغاني الإقليمية لتدريس المفردات حول موضوع المهن وأحب إندونيسيا لتلاميذ الصف الرابع في مدرسة نور الفلاح الابتدائية الإسلامية سربونغ. وقد تمّت دراسة هذا الموضوع انطلاقا من المشكلات التي يواجهها التلاميذ في تعلّم اللغة العربية، ولا سيما في إتقان المفردات، باعتبارها عنصرا مهما في تعلّم اللغة الأجنبية. وقد تم استخدام منهج البحث والتطوير (R&D) وفق نموذج ADDIE الذي يشمل مراحل التحليل، التصميم، التطوير، التطبيق، والتقويم. تم جمع البيانات من خلال الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي، ثم تم تحليل النتائج باستخدام اختبار Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test بمساعدة برنامج SPSS. وأظهرت النتائج وجود زيادة ذات دلالة إحصائية، حيث ارتفع متوسط الدرجة من ‎٧٤٫٢٠‎ إلى ‎٨٥٫٦٠‎ في الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي الأول، ومن ‎٦٤٫٤٠‎ إلى ‎٩٤٫٢٠‎ في الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي الثاني، بقيمة دلالة بلغت (p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). وبذلك تم رفض الفرضية الصفرية H0 وقبول الفرضية البديلة H1، مما يدل على وجود تأثير فعّال الاستخدام الأغاني العربية المستوحاة من الأغاني الإقليمية. كما تم تطوير أغنيتين هما أغنية Naik Becak للاختبار البعدي الأول، وأغنية Anak Kambing Saya للاختبار البعدي الثاني، دون استخدام الموسيقى أو الآلات المصاحبة. وتوصلت الباحثة إلى أن استخدام الأغاني العربية المستوحاة من الأغاني الإقليمية كان فعّالًا في تحسين اكتساب مفردات اللغة العربية حول موضوع المهن وأحبّ إندونيسيا لتلاميذ الصف الرابع في مدرسة نور الفلاح الابتدائية الإسلامية سيبونغ، ويجعل عملية التعلّم أكثر متعة وذات معنى. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lagu-lagu Bahasa Arab yang terinspirasi dari lagu-lagu daerah untuk pelajaran kosakata dengan tema pekerjaan dan aku cinta Indonesia bagi siswa kelas IV di MI Nurul Falah Serpong. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya berbagai kendala dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Arab, terutama dalam penguasaan kosakata yang merupakan elemen penting dalam pemerolehan Bahasa Asing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test dan post-test, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan, di mana rata-rata skor meningkat dari 74,20 menjadi 85,60 pada pre-test dan post-test pertama, serta dari 64,40 menjadi 94,20 pada pre-test dan post-test kedua, dengan nilai signifikan p= 0,000 (p < 0,05). Dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang berarti penggunaan lagu-lagu Bahasa Arab yang terinspirasi dari lagu-lagu daerah memberikan pengaruh dan efektif. Produk yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini berupa dua lagu, yaitu lagu Naik Becak untuk post-test pertama dan lagu Anak Kambing Saya untuk post-test kedua, tanpa menggunakan musik atau instrument. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan lagu-lagu Bahasa Arab yang terinspirasi dari lagu-lagu daerah efektif dalam meingkatkan penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Arab pada tema pekerjaan dan aku cinta Indonesia bagi siswa kelas IV MI Nurul Falah Serpong, serta menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan dan bermakna.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the “TNK” (Think, Publish, Write) technique in improving students’ creative thinking skills in writing at MTs Negeri 2 Jakarta. Using a quantitative quasi-experimental design, the research involved two groups: an experimental group taught using the TNK technique and a control group taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments, focusing on four dimensions of creative thinking in writing: fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. The findings revealed that the experimental group achieved a post-test mean score of 79, significantly higher than the control group’s mean score of 54. The independent sample t-test result (t = 7.621) exceeded the critical values at both 5% and 1% significance levels, indicating a significant effect of the TNK technique. The N-Gain score of 0.52 suggested a moderate level of effectiveness. These results indicate that the TNK technique offers a structured yet creative learning environment, enabling students to express ideas more freely, enhance critical thinking, and develop better writing skills. The study recommends adopting the TNK technique as an alternative instructional strategy for teaching writing.

Abstract

Introduction: This study explores how postgraduate students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta use online databases to improve the quality of their doctoral dissertations.It examines perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and factors influencing students’ willingness to use online databases during dissertation preparation. Research Methods: The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and document analysis involving 30 doctoral students. Data Analysis: Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Matthew B. Miles and A. Michael Huberman, with triangulation and member checking applied to ensure validity and credibility. Results: The findings indicate that online database use enhances dissertation quality through five dimensions: expanded literature horizons, clearer identification of research gaps, stronger academic credibility, accelerated writing processes, and improved academic self-confidence. Challenges include limited access to premium databases, language barriers, interface complexity, and uneven information literacy. Conclusion: Acceptance of online databases shapes dissertation quality beyond usage intention. Perceived ease of use and usefulness translate into concrete academic outcomes, extending the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by linking technology acceptance with academic quality in Islamic higher education.
