Abstract

ABSTRAKKemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Keperawatan Anak masih rendah terutama jika mahasiswa dihadapkan pada materi pembelajaran yang membahas kasus-kasus pada anak yang sering terjadi di Rumah Sakit. Banyak faktor yang dapat menyebabkan hal tersebut, diantaranya adalah metode belajar yang digunakan dosen masih konvensional dan monoton sehingga mahasiswa kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran Jigsaw terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Keperawatan Anak.Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 4 Program Studi Ilmu Keperawatan Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. Sampel penelitiandiambil dua kelas dengan teknik multiple sampling dan penentuan kedua kelas dipilih secara random. Mahasiswa yang berada pada kelompok kontrol (n=51) dan kelompok Jigsaw (n=52). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk menilai kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa adalah CTDSRF dan lembar observasi. Data yang diperoleh dilakukan uji normalitas dengan menggunakan Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan dianalisis menggunakan Mann-Whitney karena data berdistribusi tidak normal. Berdasarkan hasil uji Mann-Whitney diperoleh  bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0.006 0.05 yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pembelajaran Jigsaw dan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Keperawatan Anak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis kelompok eksperimen (Jigsaw) lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Dengan adanya perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Jigsaw berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Keperawatan Anak.Metode pembelajaran Jigsaw ini dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran tidak hanya pada mata kuliah Keperawatan anak saja tetapi pada mata kuliah yang lain agar mahasiswa mampu mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam menganalisis kasus. ABSTRACTStudents' critical thinking skills in pediatric nursing courses are still low, especially if students are faced with learning material that discusses cases in children that often occur in hospitals. Many factors can cause this, namely, the learning methods used by teachers are still conventional and monotonous so that students are less active in the learning process. This study aimed to know the effectiveness of Jigsaw learning on students' critical thinking skills in the Pediatric Nursing course. The population of this research was the 4th-semester students of Nursing Science Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. The sample of the study was taken two classes with multiple sampling techniques and the determination of both classes was chosen randomly. Students in the control group (n = 51) and the Jigsaw group (n = 52). The research instrument used to assess students` critical thinking skill is CTDSRF and observation sheet. The data obtained were tested for normality using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and analyzed using Mann-Whitney because the data were not normally distributed. Based on the Mann-Whitney test results obtained Sig. (2-tailed) 0.006 0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between Jigsaw learning and conventional learning on students' critical thinking skills in the Pediatric Nursing course. This showed that the critical thinking ability of the experimental group (Jigsaw) is better than the control group. With the average difference in critical thinking skills in the Pediatric Nursing courses. This Jigsaw learning method can be used in the learning process, not only in the Pediatric Nursing course but also in other subject, so that students are able to develop critical thinking skills in analyzing cases.

Abstract

A lecturer with a good performance has a positive impact on the quality of teaching and learning. The said quality  includes the delivery of teaching materials, learning methods, and ultimately the academic results of students. Performance of lecturers contributes significantly to the quality of research and community service which in turn improves the quality of teaching materials. It is desirable, therefore, to have a method to measure the performance of lecturers in carrying out the Tri Dharma (or the three responsibility) activities, which consist of teaching and learning process, research, and community service activities, including publications at both national and international level. This study seeks to measure the performance of lecturers and cluster them into three categories, namely "satisfactory", "good", and "poor". Data were taken from academic works of nursing study program lecturers in conducting academic activities. Clustering process is carried out using two machine learning approaches, which is K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms. Evaluation of the clustering results suggests that K-Medoids algorithm performs better compared to using K-Means. DBI score for clustering techniques using K-Means is -0.417 while the score for K-Medoids is -0.652. The significant difference in the score shows that K-Medoids algorithm works better in determining the performance of lecturers in carrying out Tri Dharma activities.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) are one of the main causes of infectious disease morbidity and mortality worldwide. Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is a health problem that often occurs in children, and the group most at risk is children under five years. This study aimed to determine the relationship between nutritional status and exclusive breastfeeding on the incidence of ARI in the working area of the Loa Bakung Public Health Center, Samarinda. This type of research is quantitative research using a cross-sectional approach. The samples in this study were parents of children under five who visited the Posyandu in the working area of the Loa Bakung Public Health Center, Samarinda. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total sample of 181 respondents. The analytical test used in this research is chi-square. The chi-square test results on the history of LBW obtained a p-value = 0.373 and exclusive breastfeeding with a p-value = 0.440. This shows no relationship between a history of LBW and exclusive breastfeeding on the incidence of ARI at the Loa Bakung Public Health Center, Samarinda. The incidence of ARI in children under five years at the Loa Bakung Public Health Center, Samarinda, is not influenced by a history of LBW and exclusive breastfeeding. Still, other factors could have influenced the incident that was not carried out in this study. The role of parents is very important in maintaining the health of their children under five years to prevent the occurrence of ARI in their children under five years.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a neurological disease that affects the patient's perception, thought processes, language, emotions, and social behavior. The clinical manifestation that often appears in schizophrenic patients is self-care deficit (DPD). One of the efforts that nurses can make is to provide nursing care based on the theoretical framework developed by Orem. It is called the self-care theory, which has a complete explanation of the concept of self-care, self-care deficits, and nursing actions to overcome problems that arise so that the patient can be independent as optimally as possible, including the independence of the caregiver (caregiver) when the patient is at home. This study used a purposive sampling technique, a quasi-experimental pre-post test without a control design. The sample used was schizophrenic patients at Atma Husada Mahakam Psychiatric Hospital Samarinda, with 30 respondents. Bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, the t-value is 0.000, and the probability value (Sig.) is 0.05, so H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that self-care rehabilitation therapy by providing group activity therapy can increase the independence of schizophrenic patients. The average value of the patient's ADL ability after being given group activity therapy was 16.77, which was higher than the average value before the patient was given therapy, which was 12.27.

Abstract

Melakukan stimulasi yang memadai artinya merangsang otak anak sehingga perkembangan gerak, bicara dan bahasa, sosialisasi dan kemandirian berlangsung secara optimal sesuai dengan umur anak. Kepemilikan Buku KIA berperan penting bagi orang tua maupun pengasuh terutama sebagai pedoman dalam memberikan stimulasi pada anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kepemilikan buku KIA dengan perilaku orang tua dalam memberikan stimulasi dan tingkat perkembangan anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juni tahun 2021 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bengkuring kecamatan Samarinda Utara kota Samarinda. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 68 ibu yang memiliki anak usia 0-18 bulan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner dan lembar observasi yang digunakan untuk mengetahui perilaku ibu dalam melakukan stimulasi. Kuesioner Pra Skrining Perkembangan (KPSP) digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat perkembangan anak (0-18 bulan). Kemudian data dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan p value (< 0,05) yang artinya secara statistik ada hubungan kepemilikan buku KIA dengan perilaku orang tua dalam memberikan stimulasi dan tingkat perkembangan anak. Sehingga diharapkan ke depannya agar tenaga kesehatan mampu meningkatkan perannya dalam memotivasi orang tua dalam memberikan stimulasi pada anak sesuai dengan buku KIA sebagai pedoman.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Pola asuh yang ditanamkan orang tua kepada anaknya harus disesuaikan dengan perkembangan, usia dan kemampuan anak. Orang tua berperan dalam memberikan dukungan kepada anak dengan cara mendidik, membimbing dan memelihara anak agar anak dapat diterima di lingkungan atau masyarakat. Kemandirian merupakan aspek yang sangat penting dalam perkembangan kepribadian anak, membentuk dan membangun kemandirian serta berperan sangat penting dalam kemampuannya untuk tetap unggul dalam masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan kemandirian remaja di MAN 1 Samarinda. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel adalah proporsional stratified random sample dengan jumlah 165 responden. Hasil : Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian yang didapatkan mayoritas responden berusia 17 tahun dengan jumlah 93 responden (56,4%), jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 109 responden (66,1%), urutan anak ke-1 sebanyak 64 responden (38,8%), pola asuh demokratis sebanyak 97 responden (58,8%), dan responden mandiri sebanyak 103 responden (62,4%). Hasil analisis uji Chi-Square yaitu P value = 0,002 < α = 0,05 yang berarti Ho ditolak. Kesimpulan : bahwa hubungan pola asuh orang tua dengan kemandirian remaja di MAN 1 Samarinda memiliki hubungan yang bermakna. Orang tua didorong untuk lebih memperhatikan apa yang dapat dilakukan anak secara mandiri. Kata Kunci : Kemandirian, Pola Asuh Orang Tua, Remaja

Abstract

Background: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) It exhibits symptoms of impulsivity, hyperactivity, and inattention, and is a mental disorder. The use of music in therapy can help people with a variety of social, emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and motor problems. When using music for therapeutic purposes, music therapy can specifically change how the brain works by training it to function differently.Objective: to find out if music therapy might help youngsters with ADHD who are too hyperactive to focus on tasks at hand.Methods: In this research, the method used is a literature review, with scholarly journal articles sourced online serving as the primary source material. There are a total of fifteen journal; eleven of them are international journals and four are national ones. Results: This study found that children with ADHD had less hyperactivity after receiving music therapy, according to a review of 15 periodicals. Conclusion: One of the therapeutic options to calm children's hyperactivity is music therapy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Abstract

Hypoglycemia is one of the acute complications that often occur in diabetes mellitus (DM) patients and could become an emergency condition that requires immediate treatment. The initial symptoms of hypoglycemia are cold sweats, tremors, dizziness, and blurred vision. Generally, DM patients’ lack of diet management exacerbates hypoglycemia. This study aimed to explore experience of type 2 diabetes patient’s hypoglycemia symptoms and affected factors. This qualitative research applied a phenomenological approach to seven participants. Semi-structured interviews were done to collect data. The Braun & Clarke method was then used to analyze the data. This study revealed three themes including the initial hypoglycemia symptoms, diet modification, and medication adherence. The study’s results are expected to provide information on the importance of education and control related to initial hypoglycemia symptoms, nutrition, and medications awareness to the type 2 diabetes patients and family.

Abstract

Hyperbilirubinemia is a yellow transforming that develops in newborns and can lead to jaundice complications. Phototherapy is one of the therapies that can be utilized to manage hyperbilirubinemia. In this case, the researcher used an individual sleep position therapy to reduce total bilirubin levels in hyperbilirubinemia newborns getting phototherapy. The findings of observations finished within three days showed that total bilirubin levels decreased to 8.85 mg/dL on the third day. Changes in sleeping position may increase phototherapy's effectiveness in reducing total bilirubin levels in newborns with neonatal jaundice or hyperbilirubinemia.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Dukungan orang tua sangat diperlukan dalam mengembangkan rasa percaya diri pada remaja. Keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendidikan anak berdampak pada rasa percaya diri remaja. Hasil: Berdasarkan 165 tanggapan melalui Google Form, terdapat 6 (3,6%) pola asuh orang tua siswa I MAN 1 Samarinda dengan kategori gaya asuh otoriter, Terdapat 56 (33,9%) dan 13 (7,9%) responden cara mengasuh demokratis. Pola asuh yang orang tua toleran. Analisis Cho Square digunakan, dengan ambang signifikansi 5% dan nilai p 0,001-0,05. Karena p kurang dari 0,05 maka Ho ditolak. Kesimpulan: Di MAN 1 Samarinda terdapat keterkaitan antara pendekatan orang ta dengan rasa percaya diri remaja. Kata Kunci : Kepercayaan Diri, Pola Asuh, Remaja
