Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop e-learning media for ESP learning of English for Nursing Students. The development of English for specific needs has rapidly increased as the demand for tailor-made language learning raised. Following the current trend of industrial revolution 4.0, the need of ESP e-learning media is critically necessary. The study used Research & Development (R&D) model. There are some stages in R&D model namely (1) Research and Information Collecting, (2) Planning, (3) Developing Preliminary Form of Product, (4) Preliminary Field Testing, (5) Main Product Revision, (6) Main Field Testing, (7) Operational Product Revision, (8) Operational Field Testing, (9) Final Product Revision and (10) Dissemination and Implementation. However, due to the limitation of the study, only five stages were conducted. The results indicated that the product of e-learning media for ESP learning of English for Nursing students was ready to use

Abstract

The development of information technology can no longer be solved by everyday life. Smart concepts based on information technology continue to be developed and applied through smart cities to smaller areas of smart villages. Development of infrastructure and internet networks supporting the concept of smart villages in empowering the community one of which is in the field of tourism. The increase in village income is carried out in the form of capacity development, skills, independence, empowerment, and community development in the field of information technology. The community is expected to discover the potential of villages supported by the application of information technology to improve the standard of living and quality of life of the Aikdewa village community. Smart villages provide support in order to raise awareness and interest in the economic, social and cultural aspects to be raised as economic assets that can increase people's income in order to obtain a more prosperous life. Smart villages can also foster and enhance partnerships to acquire various skills (administration, education, and information technology) so as to develop good collaboration in developing, empowering, and increasing the independence of tourism businesses as one of the pillars of the family economy.

Abstract

A lecturer with a good performance has a positive impact on the quality of teaching and learning. The said quality  includes the delivery of teaching materials, learning methods, and ultimately the academic results of students. Performance of lecturers contributes significantly to the quality of research and community service which in turn improves the quality of teaching materials. It is desirable, therefore, to have a method to measure the performance of lecturers in carrying out the Tri Dharma (or the three responsibility) activities, which consist of teaching and learning process, research, and community service activities, including publications at both national and international level. This study seeks to measure the performance of lecturers and cluster them into three categories, namely "satisfactory", "good", and "poor". Data were taken from academic works of nursing study program lecturers in conducting academic activities. Clustering process is carried out using two machine learning approaches, which is K-Means and K-Medoids algorithms. Evaluation of the clustering results suggests that K-Medoids algorithm performs better compared to using K-Means. DBI score for clustering techniques using K-Means is -0.417 while the score for K-Medoids is -0.652. The significant difference in the score shows that K-Medoids algorithm works better in determining the performance of lecturers in carrying out Tri Dharma activities.

Abstract

The high number of land areas damaged by forest fires in Indonesia is a problem that we often face. Handling that is difficult makes it difficult to extinguish quickly so that the forest fires become widespread. One solution to overcome this is to make an Automatic Forest Fire Fighting UAV Drone Robot so that it can quickly extinguish so that hotspots can be overcome before they become more widespread. The UAV drone itself is one of the multicopter flying vehicles that can be controlled manually and automatically, making it easier to reach points that cannot be reached by humans. By implanting a fire sensor, this tool is able to recognize fire points based on the infrared waves emitted by the fire. The Arduino microcontroller allows UAV drones to fly automatically to the point of fire based on the signal sent by the fire sensor. Using GPS as a directional guide so that the accuracy of the drone's flying direction is more accurate and can quickly release a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire before it gets bigger.

Abstract

This research aims to help Bali Kembali based on community empowerment through improving the skills and productivity of the tourism business or Buyan e-tourism based on local wisdom in the village of Pancasari. The purpose of this research is to encourage the empathy of lecturers as researchers and to be able to contribute to solving problems that exist in society. The interaction between students and the community, on the one hand the lecturers get knowledge from the community, and on the other hand the community learns from the lecturer team as researchers to improve their abilities in sustainable development in their region. In this regard, specifically the goal is the development of the capacity, independence, empowerment and productivity of the community in the field of tourism or information technology-based e-tourism based on local wisdom. The results to be achieved from this research are: 1) Increasing the awareness and empathy of lecturers as researchers towards economic, social and cultural issues to be appointed as economic assets so as to increase people's income in order to achieve a more prosperous life; 2) There is a partnership between lecturers who have various skills (administration, education, information technology, etc.) and village partners so that good cooperation can be realized in developing, empowering, and increasing the independence of the tourism business as one of the pillars of the family economy; 3) Increased knowledge of information technology among people who work in the field of tourism or e-tourism in Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali for the success of tourism businesses, so that people continue to get benefits from an economic, social, cultural and welfare perspective; 4) Development of the potential of Buyan Lake as a tourism asset that can make it prosperous and use community stakeholders around Buyan Lake and the people of Pancasari Village.

Abstract

Kupu-kupu dari family Papilionidae adalah jenis kupu-kupu yang paling banyak diminati untuk dijual dalam bentuk telah diawetkan. Dalam kegiatan laboraturium taksonomi, kupu-kupu family Papilionidae juga menjadi jenis yang paling sering digunakan karena bentuk sayap yang lebar dan kokoh membuat pembuangan sisik atau warna sayap berlangsung lebih mudah serta mengurangi resiko sobeknya sayap. Aplikasi klasifikasi jenis kupu-kupu bersifat stand alone dan dibangun dengan menggunakan model klasifikasi SVM Non Linear sebagai sistem klasifikasi. Data dalam aplikasi ini adalah citra kupu-kupu awetan. Pada tahap awal, data masukan akan dipraproses terlebih dahulu dan diestraksi fiturnya sebelum diklasifikasi oleh model klasifikasi. Aplikasi berjalan dengan baik dan mampu melakukan pemilihan wilayah yang akan diklasifikasi atau ROI(Region of Interest). ROI dalam penelitian ini adalah sayap kupu-kupu sebelah kanan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Industri rumah tangga Keripik Ubi "Yam Chips" adalah usaha yang bergerak pada bidang makanan ringan dengan bahan baku ubi ungu. Produsen Yam Chips belum menggunakan desain kemasan yang cukup menarik. Untuk bersaing di pasar global, usaha Yam Chips harus mampu untuk dikenal oleh masyarakat luas tidak hanya melalui informasi kecil namun harus diperkenalkan dengan menggunakan informasi yang global. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dapat membantu dalam meningkatkan daya saing penjualan Yam Chips keripik ubi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan penyuluhan tentang strategi pemasaran, mendampingi pembuatan desain kemasan dan  Pembuatan iklan di media sosial.  Hasil pengabdian telah terlaksana secara daring dengan dilakukan selama 10 bulan, selama proses pelatihan para peserta diberikan posttest dan pretest untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman peserta dan didapatkan rata-rata peserta mendapatkan nilai diatas 50 yang menujukkan keberhasilan dalam proses pelatihan, perubahan sistem pemasaran produk yang dimana pada rencana awal dilakukan secara separuh daring separuh offline, menjadi full secara daring. proses produksi dikurangi pada awal pandemi untuk menekan angka kerugian dan ditingkatkan setelah New Normal mulai diberlakukan. Kesimpulan walaupun sempat Kegiatan pengabdian dihadapkan dengan Pandemi Covid-19 yang membuat kegiatan produksi dari Yam Chips terhenti, akibat tidak bisa memasok bahan baku dan menurunnya pembeli akibat lockdown. Solusi yang dilakukan oleh Tim adalah melakukan seluruh kegiatan pengabdian secara daring.  Kata Kunci: Kripik, Media Sosial, Meningkatkan Daya Saing ABSTRACT Yam Chips Home Industry "Yam Chips" is a business that is engaged in the snack food field with purple sweet potato as raw material. Manufacturers of Yam Chips have not used a packaging design that is quite attractive. To compete in the global market, Yam Chips business must be able to be known by the wider community not only through small information but must be introduced using global information. The purpose of this service activity is to help increase the competitiveness of Yam Chips sales of sweet potato chips. The method used is by conducting counseling about marketing strategies, assisting in making packaging designs, and making advertisements on social media. The results of the service have been carried out online for 10 months, during the training process the participants were given a post-test and pretest to determine their level of understanding of the participants and it was found that the average participant got a score above 50 which shows success in the training process, changes in the product marketing system which in The initial plan was done partially online, half offline, becoming fully online. production processes were reduced at the beginning of the pandemic to reduce losses and increased after the New Normal came into effect. In conclusion, although service activities were faced with the Covid-19 Pandemic which made the production activities of Yam Chips stop, due to not being able to supply raw materials and the decline in buyers due to the lockdown. Tahapan dalam pengabdian ini adalah melakukan penyuluhan tentang strategi pemasaran, mendampingi pembuatan desain kemasan, membuat iklan di media sosial dan melakukan monev selama tiga bulan setelah kemasan baru dan proses pengiklanan telah selesai dilakukan. Kegiatan pengabdian dihadapkan dengan Pandemi Covid-19 yang sempat membuat kegiatan produksi dari Yam Chips terhenti akibat tidak bisa memasok bahan baku dan menurunnya pembeli akibat lockdown. Abstract

Desa Musaping merupakan sebuah desa yang berada di Loa Duri Ulu Kutai Kartanegara dengan mayoritas mata pencaharian masyarakatnya adalah berkebun dan berladang. Terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang kemudian menjadikan potensi perkebunan yang besar ini tidak terlalu dirasakan keuntungannya secara material oleh para pemilik kebun. Tanaman yang ditanam sering terkena penyakit hingga gagal panen. Komoditas seperti pisang, singkong dan pepaya. Menurut kepala desa musaping 4, penyakit pada tanaman ini dialami sejak tahun 2020 dimana ditemukan singkong, pisang dan pepaya mengalami busuk didalam buahnya, namun terlihat sehat jika dilihat secara kasat mata. Kondisi topologi desa yang cukup terjal, membuat jaringan masih belum masuk kedalam desa, sehingga masyarakat juga mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan literasi digital. Perlu adanya suatu jalan keluar yang dapat memperbaiki kualitas komoditas warga. Pengabdian dimulai dengan mengambil sampel tanah dan tanaman yang bermasalah dari beberapa perkebunan warga. Sampel ini diteliti dan ditemukan bakteri Pseudomonas solanacearum dan jamur Fusarium oxysporum f.sp sebagai penyebab penyakit tanaman di wilayah tersebut. Tim pengabdian kemudian melakukan edukasi kepada warga terkait penyebab penyakit dan cara mengatasinya. Dari 25 warga yang hadir, pada posttest didapatkan pemahaman sebanyak peningkatan dari masyarakat yang tidak mengetahui sama sekali, menjadi 64% atau sebanyak 16 orang yang memahami dari seluruh warga yang hadir.
