Up to these days, many people globally have not yet realized the wondrous benefits of the drumstick tree (Moringa oleifera), such as citizens living in Kediri, East Java, Indonesia. Each person of the communities in the region mostly has spacious enough yards that can be optimized for drumstick tree cultivation. This community service aimed to (a) enhance motivation in gardening activities of urban communities; b) improve knowledge and skills of urban communities in cultivating, harvesting, and processing drumstick tree; c) increase greenery areas in the house; and d) improve food security and family health during the Covid-19 pandemic. Activities in the present community development were distributing gardening and education packages to the target community of Kediri citizens through online media ranging from planting, maintaining, and processing drumstick trees as a home industry business in order to enhance their income. Participants of these activities were also given some materials regarding the topic in the form of booklets and online collective assistance.

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all countries around the world, including Indonesia. The COVID-19 pandemic affects all sectors, especially the agrocomplex. As a strategic step to minimize the impact on the agricultural sector, it is necessary to have a digital transformation to support production stability. Digital media in agriculture can be used as a medium for consulting farmers with agricultural experts so there is validation of information obtained by farmers regarding problems in the field. This empowerment activity was conducted to increase the literacy skills of farmers on cultivation topics as a supporting system for food security during the COVID-19 pandemic. Klinik tanipanen was created to provide a medium for farmers to consult directly with agricultural experts. The topic problems are about cultivation techniques (upstream and farming), agroindustry, and marketing. Based on the activities that have been carried out, the majority of farmers' questions are about pests and diseases encountered in the field. Through this program, it is expected that farmers will be able to improve their literacy skills, thereby increasing their productivity and income.

High yielding corn breeding program is an alternative to meet national needs. Characterization is one of the essential stages in a corn breeding program. This research aims to evaluate agronomic characters and yield potential of the parent lines to be used as a basis for the hybrid variety development program. This research was conducted from May to October 2023 at the Koto Tingga Experimental Station, Padang, West Sumatra Province. There are 5 promising corn lines used in this study with a one-factor completely randomized block design with 3 replications, therefore there were15 experimental units. The results shows that lines significantly affected on all characters except the number of cobs per plant and yield potential. The Mz1 line had the highest yield potential (3,7 tons ha-1), followed by the Mz5 line (3,4 tons ha-1). These two lines have relatively medium plant height (221,6–246,3 cm), early harvest maturity (94,2–99,9 DAP), and medium to high 100–grain weight (28,4–37,9 g). These two lines have the potential to be further developed as crossing parental.

Indonesia faces a food waste problem, particularly at the household level. Food waste causes negative impacts on several aspects such as environment, society, and economy. Ironically, at the same time, Indonesia also has a serious hunger problem. Through community development programs, we aimed to empower households in recycling their food waste by eco enzyme and their awareness through an online challenge. Eco enzyme is an affordable and useful method to recycle food waste being a liquid product with many benefits such as insect repellent, organic fertilizer, general cleaner, air purifier, and laundry cleaner. The total participants of the eco enzyme workshop were 57 people. On the other hand, through an online campaign #MelawanFoodWate, 101 users took action to be conscious customers in shopping behavior. These activities were in collaboration with several stakeholders to ensure the success of the program. These programs can be considered an initiation to develop Food Smart City that focuses on the community-based movement and circular economy.

Early marriage and divorce at a young age are among the most prevalent social problems among adolescents. A lack of understanding regarding marital loneliness, coupled with a lack of religious knowledge and life skills, often leads to marriages being faced without proper preparation. This situation necessitates strengthening premarital education literacy, which not only equips the cognitive aspect but also instills values of balance through the concept of moderation. This study focuses on strengthening premarital education literacy without moderation as an effort to mitigate early divorce among adolescents at the Darul Ihsan Islamic Boarding School. The study focuses on how the premarital literacy program, based on the rights and obligations of couples, improved (80%) and family communication skills (78%), based on pre-test and post-test results. Using qualitative descriptive methods through observation, interviews, and documentation, this study found that premarital education literacy without moderation has a positive impact on improving adolescents' readiness for marriage. In addition, this program has also proven relevant in efforts to reduce the risk of early divorce which often arises due to a lack of mental and spiritual readiness among young couples.

This thesis discusses the ethics of communication in the Qur'an about the meaning of qaulan and its forms. The problem discussed in this study is about the ethics of a person in communicating with others. In today's era, many people who communicate do not prioritize ethics, prioritize their desires in speaking so that communication delivered between individuals does not have meaningful value in the communication. In fact, communication is an urgency for socializing and also to increase high ideals. The Qur'an provides direction or positive values about how to communicate properly and correctly, so that close relationships are created between fellow human beings. To answer this problem, the researcher uses a type of library research by looking for verses with the theme of Qaulan using thematic methods. The primary source is the book of Tafsir al-Munir and the secondary data are books, journals, and those related to this study. The results of this study indicate that Wahbah Az-Zuhaili explains the forms of Qaulan in detail by adjusting the targets faced when invited to communicate. For that, a person in communicating must be based on clear principles.

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Horizon Indonesia dalam rangka kunjungan kampus oleh siswa dari SMAS Azzahiriyah dan MA Ghoyatul Jihad, Karawang. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengenalkan konsep dasar machine learning dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang disesuaikan dengan tingkat pemahaman siswa. Penyampaian materi dilakukan tanpa praktik teknis pemrograman, melainkan menggunakan bahasa yang mudah dipahami serta bantuan simulasi interaktif dari code.org untuk memudahkan pemahaman siswa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respons positif, terlihat dari antusiasme mereka dan mulai terbentuknya pemahaman awal mengenai bagaimana komputer dapat “belajar” dari data. Selain sebagai kegiatan edukatif, workshop ini juga menjadi bagian dari upaya kampus dalam memperluas jangkauan dan meningkatkan ketertarikan siswa terhadap pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui program dan perkembangan hafalan santri di Pondok Pesantren Riyadus Shalihin Bantaeng, kemudian untuk mengetahui teknik komunikasi dalam meningkatkan motivasi santri menghafal al-Qur’an di Pondok Pesantren Riyadus Shalihin Bantaeng, kemudian untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat teknik komunikasi pembina dalam memotivasi santri dalam menghafal Alqur’an di Pondok Pesantren Riyadus Shalihin Bantaeng. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang analisis datanya lebih objektif dan deskriftif. Dalam peneltian ini teknik pengumupulan data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Riyadus Shalihin Kec. Tompobulu Kab. Bantaeng yang dilaksanakan salama 2 bulan. Adapun hasil penelitian ini, Pondok Pesantren Riyadus Shalihin memiliki program hafalan dan perkembangan hafalan santri yang mulai meningkat dari aspek kuantitas dan kualitas. Adapun teknik komunikasi yang digunakan pembina dalam meningkatkan motivasi santri menghafal al-Qur’an yaitu penerapan target hafalan, murajaah hafalan, simaaan, pemberian motivasi dan pemberian sanksi. Adapun faktor penghambatnya yaitu pembina yang masi kurang komunikatif, faktor kesehatan dan dukungan orang tua.
