Abstract

Mangrove plants are known as source of traditional medicines. Endophytic fungi have an important economic potential for antibacterial, enzyme and secondary metabolites that are useful especially in pharmaceutical industry. The purpose of this research was to determine the antibacterial activity of the endophytic fungal extracts from mangrove plant Rhizophora mucronata against diarrhea causing bacteria. This research included isolation, characterization, cultivation, extraction, and antibacterial activity test. The study yielded 5 types of endophytic fungi with different morphology. Endophytic fungus DS1 was the selected isolate based on antagonism test. The growth pattern showed the stationary phase of isolate DS1 was on the 15th day. Culture broth extract showed considerable inhibition on Pseudomonas aeruginosa with diameter of inhibition zone was 18.5 mm ± 3.32. Extract of mycelium inhibited the growth of Staphylococcus aureus (2 mm). The culture broth extract showed more potent antibacterial activity in comparison with the mycelium extract.

Abstract

Online media coverage of sexual harassment at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Riau University, which was widely spread on various websites and social media led to the formation of opinions from students regarding this matter. Many opinions and judgments have sprung up on the news. In the process of forming the perception there are stages in the formation. Due to this, this study aims to see how the process of forming students' perceptions of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru. Starting from sensation, attention and interpretation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method in determining the informants using purposive techniques so that 9 informants were found who met the criteria that the researchers had determined previously. The data collection techniques in this study were observation, documentation and interviews. Then the data obtained were analyzed by reducing the data, presenting the data and drawing conclusions. While the technique of checking the validity of the data in this study is triangulation and member check. The results in this study indicate that the process of forming students' perceptions of SMAN 4 Pekanbaru regarding online media coverage of sexual harassment at Fisip, Riau University is a sensation, namely online media coverage spread across various platforms such as Instagram, internet, YouTube and line today. Attention is location, time and actor. Interpretation is that this incident has a negative impact on the victim in which the victim will experience trauma. Due to this, this case must be processed to completion in accordance with applicable law until an acceptable result is obtained so that there is no dispute between the two parties.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendapatan dan biaya operasional terhadap laba bersih perusahaan di PT. Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan memanfaatkan data sekunder laporan keuangn PT. Darya – Vania Laboratoria Tbk. Sampel yang diambil pada penelitian adalah dari laporan keuangan perusahaan selama 10 tahun, 2014 hingga 2023, menggunakan analisis regresi berganda dan pengujian hipotesis sebagai metode analisis data. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendapatan dan biaya operasional terhadap laba bersih perusahaan. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan penjelasan bahwa variabel pendapatan secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap laba bersih dengan nilai thitung 2.508 > ttabel 1.860 dan nilai sig. 0.04 < 0.05, serta variabel biaya operasional secara parsial berpengaruh negatif dan tidak signifikan terhadap variabel laba bersih dengan nilai thitung -1.815 (thitung -1.815 < ttabel 1.860) dan nilai sig. 0.112 > 0.05. Sedangkan secara bersama-sama atau simultan, bahwa variable Pendapatan dan Beban Operasional terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Laba Bersih dengan nilai fhitung > ftabel yaitu 4.552 > 4.10. Pengujian koefisien determinasi (R Square) menunjukkan nilai sebesar 0,565 atau 56,5%, yang mengindikasikan bahwa 56,5% variabel laba dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel pendapatan dan biaya operasional sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti yaitu sebesar 44,5%

Abstract

Manajemen pendidik memiliki peran penting dalam memastikan kualitas pendidikan, namun di SDN Labang, manajemen pendidik menghadapi tantangan utama berupa kurangnya tenaga pendidik yang berdampak pada peningkatan beban kerja guru dan kesulitan siswa dalam memahami materi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kendala serta strategi manajemen pendidik di SDN Labang dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data utama diperoleh dari kepala sekolah dan guru kelas 5B SDN Labang, serta didukung oleh data sekunder terkait manajemen tenaga pendidik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses perekrutan telah dilakukan secara terstruktur, meliputi analisis kebutuhan, seleksi kompetensi, dan orientasi pendidik baru. Namun, penyebaran informasi yang kurang optimal menyebabkan jumlah pelamar tidak mencukupi. Strategi yang diterapkan meliputi pelatihan, mentoring, serta evaluasi kinerja secara berkala. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara pihak sekolah dan pemerintah untuk memperkuat proses perekrutan serta menyediakan tenaga pendidik yang kompeten agar kualitas pembelajaran dapat terus ditingkatkan.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the process of using the demonstration method in mathematics learning on the area of square and rectangular shapes and improving student learning outcomes on the area of flat shapes through the demonstration method.The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK) which has 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection techniques used were interviews, tests, observation and documentation. The research instrument is a test sheet on student learning outcomes. The subjects of the research were all class IV students for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 25 students consisting of 12 male students and 13 female students.The results of the research show that the application of the demonstration method can improve student learning outcomes which achieve a score above 70 with a percentage of complete learning outcomes, pre-cycle 28% with an average score of 56.8, Cycle I 60% with an average score of 68 and Cycle 2 96% with average 81.2. Based on the research, it can be concluded that learning mathematics about the area of square and rectangular shapes by applying the demonstration method can be successful, so it can be used as an alternative solution to improve mathematics learning at UPTD SDN Kesek 1.

Abstract

Waste is one of the problems that has yet to be fully addressed. Lack of understanding about the importance of waste segregation and processing, as well as limited management facilities, especially for plastic waste, makes the people of Dukuh Mantren tend to process waste in an inappropriate way. Therefore, education about waste management is needed. The purpose of this work program is to find out the condition of integrated waste management in the community and what factors support and hinder integrated waste management in the Dukuh Mantren community. The data obtained is then used for alternative strategies that can be used in integrated waste management in the Dukuh Mantren community. This education program is carried out through socialization, observation, and interview methods. The results of the Waste Management and Ecobrick Socialization Program carried out by KKN Tematik UNS proved effective in overcoming waste problems in Dukuh Mantren, Klodran Village. The program succeeded in increasing the community's understanding of the types of waste and how to process them properly. This research confirms that the Waste Management and Ecobricking Socialization program has a positive impact on overcoming the waste problem in Dukuh Mantren, Klodran Village.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the use of Wordwall as an instructional medium can enhance students’ learning interest in the Pancasila Education subject for third-grade students at SDN Konang 2. The research is grounded in the recognition of learning interest as a crucial internal factor that contributes to student success, as well as the necessity for engaging and interactive teaching strategies aligned with students’ needs and characteristics. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing an experimental design involving both pretest and posttest measures. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The questionnaire instrument was developed to assess four key dimensions of learning interest: enjoyment, curiosity, attention, and engagement during the learning process. The analysis revealed that all four indicators yielded high results, with an average percentage of 80.5%. These findings indicate that the integration of Wordwall, featuring content on the application of Pancasila values, effectively stimulates students’ interest and active participation in learning activities. Therefore, Wordwall can be considered an innovative and relevant learning tool that supports the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

Students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning are still relatively low, especially in topics related to local wisdom. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the Deep Learning approach on students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning with the topic of Madurese Local Wisdom at SDN Patereman 1. This research employed an experimental method with a pre-experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The study was conducted in grade IV with a total sample of 29 students using a saturated sampling technique. The instruments used were pretest and posttest in the form of multiple-choice questions. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were normality test and paired sample t-test. Based on the analysis using SPSS 27 for Windows, the average pretest score was 62.41 and the average posttest score was 76.90, showing an improvement of 14.49 points after the implementation of Deep Learning through the Problem Based Learning model. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of <0.001 <0.05 and a t-value of -6.471, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the Deep Learning approach has a significant effect on improving students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning on the topic of Madurese Local Wisdom at SDN Patereman 1.
