Abstract

Ibu tunggal menghadapi tantangan besar dalam menjaga keseimbangan emosional dan membangun moralitas anak remaja, terutama di tengah keterbatasan sosial dan ekonomi. Tantangan ini semakin kompleks pada masa remaja anak, ketika kebutuhan akan bimbingan moral dan dukungan emosional sangat tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi pengalaman ibu tunggal dalam membangun moralitas anak remaja serta peran intervensi keperawatan komunitas dalam mendukung proses pengasuhan tersebut. Subjek dan Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi deskriptif untuk menggali pengalaman ibu tunggal. Sebanyak 10 ibu tunggal dari Kecamatan Banjar dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik Colaizzi untuk menghasilkan tema-tema utama yang merepresentasikan pengalaman partisipan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan tiga tema utama, yaitu strategi koping, sumber koping, dan makna spiritual. Ibu tunggal menggabungkan strategi problem-focused coping dan emotion-focused coping untuk menghadapi tantangan emosional dan praktis dalam pengasuhan. Dukungan dari keluarga dan komunitas, meskipun tidak selalu konsisten, memainkan peran penting dalam memperkuat kemampuan pengasuhan ibu tunggal. Spiritualitas muncul sebagai landasan yang tidak hanya membantu ibu tunggal mengelola stres, tetapi juga menjadi pedoman moral dalam mendidik anak-anak mereka. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perawat komunitas memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung ibu tunggal melalui konseling emosional, edukasi keterlibatan keluarga, dan penguatan spiritualitas. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan layanan keperawatan berbasis komunitas yang lebih komprehensif dan relevan. Sinergi antara perawat, keluarga, dan komunitas diperlukan untuk memastikan anak-anak tumbuh dengan nilai moral yang kuat, sekaligus memberikan dukungan optimal bagi ibu tunggal dalam menjalankan peran ganda mereka Kata kunci: Ibu tunggal, moralitas anak, strategi koping, intervensi keperawatan komunitas, penguatan spiritual Single mothers face significant challenges in maintaining emotional stability and fostering moral development in their adolescent children, especially amidst social and economic constraints. These challenges become increasingly complex during adolescence, a period when the need for moral guidance and emotional support is critical. This study aims to explore the experiences of single mothers in nurturing the moral character of their adolescent children and examine the role of community nursing interventions in supporting this parenting process.Subjects and Methods: This research employs a descriptive phenomenological approach to delve into the lived experiences of single mothers. Ten single mothers from Banjar District were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using Colaizzi's method to generate key themes representing participants' experiences. Results: The findings revealed three main themes: coping strategies, sources of coping, and spiritual meaning. Single mothers employed both problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping strategies to address emotional and practical challenges in parenting. Support from families and communities, though inconsistent at times, played a crucial role in strengthening single mothers' parenting capabilities. Spirituality emerged as a foundation that not only helped single mothers manage stress but also served as a moral compass in guiding their children’s upbringing. Conclusion: This study highlights the strategic role of community nurses in supporting single mothers through emotional counseling, family engagement education, and spiritual empowerment. The findings provide valuable insights for the development of more comprehensive and relevant community-based nursing services. Collaboration among nurses, families, and communities is essential to ensure adolescents grow with strong moral values while offering optimal support for single mothers in fulfilling their dual roles. Abstract

Introduction: The practice of Clean and Healthy Lifestyle Behavior (PHBS) among elementary school students still requires attention due to their limited understanding and skills in maintaining personal hygiene, which increases their health risks. Objective: The purpose of this community service was to provide PHBS education to grade IV students at SDN Petoran, Surakarta, using lecture, direct demonstration, and audiovisual media methods. Method: This public service was conducted by engaging 50 students, employing a combination of lectures, direct demonstrations, and audiovisual media to promote PHBS. A pretest and posttest evaluation was conducted to assess the impact of the intervention on the students' understanding and practices. Result: The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in the students' understanding and practices of PHBS, particularly in activities such as handwashing and tooth brushing, which they now perform independently. Paired t-test analysis supported these findings, confirming that the demonstration approach was effective in fostering sustainable healthy habits. Conclusion: This activity is expected to contribute to national efforts to raise health awareness in primary education settings and has the potential to provide long-term health benefits for children.

Abstract

Abstract. Mentoring adolescent students who are in a period of physical and psychological preservation is very important. This community service aims to form adolescent health cadres to build a young generation who care about health through peer cadres Kholifatullah Singo ludiro Islamic Boarding School. Considering that they are far from their families and live with fellow students of the same age. The method used is cadre formation and training. Cadres are formed from active students and the students' willingness to become peer adolescent health caders. Cadres are equipped with knowledge and skills through training related to adolescent health, basic care skills, and Focus Group Discussions (FGD) as provisions for cadres to be critical of students' health problems and increase cadres' self-confidence in providing education and motivation. The results obtained were the formation of 10 peer adolescent health cadres, consisting of 3 male cadres and 7 female cadres. These results are in accordance with the needs of the Islamic boarding school where most of the health problems, both physical and psychological, found were from female students. The results of the activity also showed an increase in knowledge and skills of cadres related to adolescent health. As students who do not yet have a background in health knowledge, cadres show a good understanding of adolescent health after receiving training. With the formation of cadres who have knowledge and skills related to adolescent health, cadres can become quality promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative for the health of adolescents of the same age as students. Keywords: Health Cadres; Healthy Islamic Boarding School; Youth Cadres; Youth Abstrak. Pendampingan remaja santri yang sedang dalam masa peralihan baik fisik maupun psikologis sangat penting. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membentuk kader kesehatan remaja sebaya santri untuk membangun generasi muda yang peduli kesehatan melalui kader sebaya Pesantren Kholifatullah Singo ludiro. Mengingat mereka jauh dengan keluarga dan tinggal bersama sesama santri sebaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pembentukan kader dan pelatihan. Kader dibentuk dari santri yang aktif serta kesuka relaan dari santri untuk menjadi kader kesehatan remaja sebaya. Kader dibekali pengetahuan dan keterampilan/ skill melalui pelatihan terkait kesehatan remaja, keterampilan perawatan dasar, serta Focus Group Discussion (FGD) sebagai bekal kader untuk kritis terhadap masalah kesehatan santri serta meningkatkan kepercayaan diri kader dalam memberikan edukasi dan motivasi. Hasil yang didapat adalah terbentuknya 10 kader kesehatan remaja sebaya, dimana terdiri dari 3 kader laki- laki dan 7 kader perempuan. Hasil ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan Pesantren dimana sebagian besar permasalahan kesehatan baik fisik maupun psikologis yang ditemukan adalah dari santri perempuan. Hasil kegiatan juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan maupun keterampilan/skill kader terkait kesehatan remaja. Sebagai santri yang belum memiliki latar belakang pengetahuan kesehatan, kader menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik terkait kesehatan remaja setelah mendapat pelatihan. Dengan terbentuknya kader yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan/skill terkait kesehatan remaja, kader dapat menjadi promotif, preventif, kuratif maupun rehabilitatif yang berkualitas untuk kesehatan remaja sebaya santri. Abstract

Introduction: Caring for children with mild intellectual disabilities poses significant emotional and social challenges for mothers, often compounded by stigma and limited support. In Indonesia, spirituality and social support play a crucial role in strengthening resilience and framing caregiving as a moral responsibility. Objective: This study aims to explore how mothers perceive the care of children with mild intellectual disabilities and the coping strategies they employ to address physical, emotional, and social challenges. Method: A qualitative phenomenological approach was used, involving semi-structured in-depth interviews with 10 mothers. Data saturation was reached with the eighth participant, confirming no emergence of new significant information. Participants were selected through purposive sampling. Thematic analysis was conducted, complemented by source and theoretical triangulation to enhance the validity of findings. Results: Four key themes emerged from the analysis: (1) caregiving as an act of worship and moral responsibility, where mothers view their role as a life calling; (2) challenges in caregiving, including physical strain, emotional stress, and stigma-related pressures; (3) coping strategies that rely on social and spiritual support, with family and religious communities serving as key resources; and (4) the inadequacy of formal services, which often forces mothers to depend on community and faith-based organizations. Conclusion: This study highlights the need for community-based programs that address the emotional and spiritual needs of families with children with special needs. Effective collaboration between healthcare providers, community organizations, and religious leaders is crucial for developing inclusive and responsive services tailored to the needs of these families.

Abstract

Introduction: The elderly population in Indonesia is particularly vulnerable to degenerative diseases such as hypertension, which often remain undiagnosed due to subtle symptoms. Addressing these health challenges is crucial for improving their quality of life, as uncontrolled hypertension can lead to severe complications like stroke and heart disease. Objective: The purpose of this service was to enhance elderly knowledge about hypertension and emphasize the importance of effective blood pressure management, while encouraging active participation in exercise routines. Method: Conducted at Posyandu Ngudi Waras, Surakarta, this program involved health screenings, educational sessions using leaflets, and regular exercise activities. The methodology included stages of socialization, implementation, technology application, evaluation, and sustainability. Result: The program significantly improved participants' knowledge of hypertension, with scores increasing from 53.53 to 82. Blood pressure measurements showed a decrease in systolic pressure from 137 mmHg to 130 mmHg, and diastolic pressure from 88 mmHg to 80 mmHg after exercise. All participants expressed high satisfaction, and participation was at 100%. However, transportation challenges were noted as a barrier. Conclusion: The program at Posyandu Ngudi Waras effectively enhanced the quality of life for the elderly through health education and physical activity. To overcome transportation barriers and ensure broader participation, developing organized transportation support is recommended. Overall, the initiative shows promise in reducing hypertension prevalence and promoting a healthier lifestyle among the elderly.

Abstract

Penyakit kardiovaskuler masih menjadi ancaman dunia dimana penyakit ini menjadi penyebab nomor satu kematian di dunia. Data dari Dinas Kesehatan Kota Surakarta tahun 2024 menunjukkan bahwa angka kejadian penyakit jantung di Kota Surakarta cukup tinggi. Pemahaman masyarakat tentang faktor resiko gangguan jantung dan tanda gejala serangan penyakit jantung koroner sebelum masuk rumah sakit masih menjadi masalah di masyarakat karena sebagian besar masyarakat belum paham tentang faktor resiko serta tanda dan gejala gangguan jantung. Pertolongan yang buruk sebelum pasien mendapatkan pertolongan di rumah sakit sampai saat ini masih menjadi masalah yang sulit dipecahkan karena masyarakat sering menyepelekan tanda dan gejala yang muncul saat serangan. Untuk itu perlu diberikan edukasi tentang deteksi faktor resiko dan tanda gejala gangguan jantung. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang faktor resiko dan tanda gejala gangguan jantung. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di RSUD Ir. Soekarno Kabupaten  Sukoharjo yang dihadiri oleh 32 pasien di poliklinik rawat jalan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah dan tanya jawab. Sebelum dan setelah kegiatan tim pengabdi memberikan kuesioner untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan setelah diberikan edukasi. Hasil analisis tingkat pengetahuan peserta terjadi peningkatan persentase peserta dengan tingkat pengetahuan tinggi dari 37,5% menjadi 68,75%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa setelah diberikan edukasi pengetahuan peserta tentang faktor resiko dan tanda gejala gangguan jantung meningkat. Data from the Surakarta City Health Office in 2024 shows that the incidence of heart disease in Surakarta City is quite high. Public understanding of risk factors for heart problems and signs and symptoms of coronary heart disease attacks before hospitalization is still a problem in the community because most people do not understand the risk factors and signs and symptoms of heart problems. Poor assistance before patients get help at the hospital is still a problem that is difficult to solve because people often underestimate the signs and symptoms that appear during an attack. For this reason, it is necessary to provide education about detecting risk factors and signs and symptoms of heart problems. This community service activity aims to increase community knowledge about risk factors and signs and symptoms of heart problems. This activity was carried out at RSUD Ir Soekarno Sukoharjo Regency which was attended by 32 patients in the outpatient clinic. The methods used in this activity were lectures and question and answer sessions. Before and after the activity, the service team distributed questionnaires to measure the participants' level of knowledge before and after the education session. The results of the analysis of participants' knowledge levels showed an increase in the percentage of participants with high knowledge levels from 37.5% to 68.75%. It can be concluded that after the education session, the participants' knowledge of risk factors and symptoms of heart disease increased. Keywords: education; heart; risk factors; signs and symptoms
