Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the environment. The enormous need for personal protective equipment (PPE) masks (both medical and non-medical masks), protective clothing, face shields, gloves to hand sanitizers and disinfectants has resulted in the accumulation of medical waste in some regions in Indonesia. This paper aims to describe the environmental diplomacy and international cooperation efforts undertaken by the Indonesian government to address these problems. The author finds that Indonesia's environmental diplomacy was carried out before the pandemic occurred, but not much has focused on medical waste management. International cooperation to overcome the problem of medical waste accumulation has been carried out with some countries such as Japan, ASEAN and also WHO. Of course, considering that this pandemic is still ongoing, it is hoped that this paper can be the start of research and can be used as a stepping stone for further research.

Abstract

Kerjasama industri kreatif Korea Selatan-Indonesia dilakukan sejak pertemuan antara Kemenparekraf Indonesia dan MSIP (Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning) Korea Selatan pada 2013. Kedua negara kemudian menandatangani nota kesepahaman pada tahun 2016. Melalui Nota Kesepahaman tersebut, kedua negara melakukan kerjasama di berbagai sub sektor salah satunya adalah sub sektor mode. Industri mode Korea Selatan telah berhasil memasukki pasar global melalui Korean Wave yang masif sehingga produk mode Korea Selatan mampu bersaing dengan brand mode bertaraf internasional. Di Indonesia, produk mode Korea Selatan juga berkembang pesat berkat adanya film/drama dan K-pop yang memberikan pengaruh dalam gaya berbusana masyarakat Indonesia terutama kalangan remaja. Oleh karena itu, Indonesia mengadakan kerjasama dengan Korea Selatan untuk mengembangkan industri kreatif sub sektor modenya sedangkan Korea Selatan dapat memanfaatkan kerjasama ini sebagai sarana diplomasi publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori diplomasi publik yang di dalamnya terdapat berbagai instrumen untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk diplomasi publik yang dilakukan oleh negara, seperti: advocacy, broadcasting/cyber, kerjasama, public relation, diaspora, exchange, dan diplomasi budaya. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian kualitatif dan deskriptif untuk meneliti bentuk diplomasi publik Korea Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk diplomasi publik Korea Selatan yakni menggunakan diplomasi budaya. Diplomasi budaya tersebut diimplementasikan melalui pembentukan Young Creator Indonesia Fashion Institute (YCIFI) dan platform exchange melalui fashion show.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2016 Arab Saudi memperkenalkan kepada dunia terkait visi ambisius yang disebut dengan Saudi Vision 2030. Melalui Vision 2030 Arab Saudi berusaha membangun kualitas hidup yang lebih baik serta berusaha mendiversifikasi negaranya dari ketergantungan terhadap minyak. Salah satu cara yang dilakukan oleh Arab Saudi adalah dengan memanfaatkan sektor olahraga. Arab Saudi dalam beberapa tahun terakhir menginvestasikan dana yang cukup besar di berbagai bidang olahraga. Salah satunya adalah Formula 1. Pada tahun 2020 negara tersebut mengumumkan secara resmi bahwa akan bergabung dengan Formula 1 dan balapan pertama akan diadakan ditahun 2021. Berbagai Langkah nation branding dilakukan oleh Arab Saudi guna membangun citra positif bagi negara tersebut sekaligus mempromosikan potensi yang dimilikinya. Balapan pertama di negara tersebut akan dilangsungkan disirkuit terbaru yang mana hal tersebut memiliki daya Tarik bagi para penggemar. Melalui berbagai potensi yang dimiliki Formula 1, Arab Saudi berusaha memanfaatkan potensinya guna membangun citra bagi negaranya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas terkait upaya UNAIDS dalam mengatasi epidemi HIV/AIDS di Zimbabwe yang kemudian menjurus ke kota Bulawayo. Pada penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan data perpustakaan dari sejumlah literatur yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian ini. HIV/AIDS telah menjadi permasalahan internasional di bidang kesehatan dikarenakan merupakan epidemi global. Upaya yang dilakukan UNAIDS dalam mengatasi epidemi HIV/AIDS adalah dengan menciptakan sebuah program seperti fast-track strategy dan fast-track cities yang diterapkan di beberapa negara dan kota di dunia. Salah satu negara dan kota yang terkena epidemi HIV/AIDS adalah Zimbabwe dan Bulawayo sehingga mereka bekerjasama dengan UNAIDS untuk penerapan program ini. Dalam mewujudkan upaya tersebut, UNAIDS tidak bekerja sendiri melainkan melibatkan beberapa organisasi internasional, pemerintah, hingga organisasi non pemerintah (NGOs). Tujuan daripada penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan sistematika program fast-track strategy dan fast-track cities.

Abstract

Covid-19 has become a pandemic that has rapidly spread throughout the world. Less than 3 months since it was discovered in China in December 2019, the Covid-19 pandemic has crippled the world economy and caused the delivery of humanitarian aid to Yemen to be hampered due to the Covid-19 outbreak. In addition, there are still wars that cause damage to health facilities. The war, the Covid-19 epidemic and Cholera disease are adding to the devastating effects on growing children in Yemen. UNICEF, as an IGO that focuses on children, reports that in 2020 there were around 34 incidents that made these children victims of child abuse and attacks on educational facilities. This research describes the role of UNICEF in Yemen from 2019 to 2020 in fulfilling children’s rights due to 3 disasters, namely Covid-19, conflict and cholera that occurred in Yemen. This research uses the theory of the role of international organizations as aid providers which is manifested in the form of Humanitarian Assistance. This type of research is a descriptive study that uses data collection techniques in the form of literature studies from 2019 to 2020 sourced from reports from The UNICEF, the WHO website, the UN website, and various verified mass media. UNICEF's role in the form of Humanitarian Assistance is manifested in 5 programs: education, child protection, nutrition, health and sanitation. Abstract

LVMH is an abbreviation for Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. Founded in 1987, this international luxury goods company is the biggest in the world, with its headquarters in Paris. Operating in more than 70 countries worldwide. LVMH’s business model is built on developing and acquiring high-end luxury brands that provide quality and exclusivity. Although LVMH brands dominate the luxury goods market independently, LVMH employs several marketing strategies, including celebrity endorsement. The explosion of the South Korean entertainment industry has made various Korean celebrities, including the girl group Blackpink, one of the largest girl groups in the world today, sought after for collaborations by LVMH. Consisting of four members, namely Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa. All BLACKPINK members are celebrity endorsers for several brands under the LVMH company, such as Jisoo with Dior, Jennie with Gentle Monster, Rose with Tiffany & Co. and Rimowa, and Lisa with Celine, Bulgari, and Louis Vuitton. This shows that Blackpink impacts the brands that collaborate with them.

Abstract

Climate crisis is a phenomenon that effecting human’s life whether in environmental sector, social sector, and even human health. That’s why a lot of people get effected especially for water and sanitation sector. IUWASH-PLUS or Indonesia Urban Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Penyehatan Lingkungan Untuk Semua is a program created by United States Agency of International Development or also known as USAID which oriented in water and sanitation hygiene sectors. This research aims to describes what are the roles of USAID in IUWASH-PLUS program especially in Bogor City in order to help The City of Bogor government to provide access of proper water and sanitation hygiene. This research uses the concept of the role of foreign aid agency to analyze the study case of this research. The research methods use in this research is descriptive qualitative with secondary data analysis method that retrieved from official websites, journals, online articles, and the previous researches. The output of this research is to analyze what are the roles of USAID in IUWASH-PLUS program to help The City of Bogor government to provide access of proper water and sanitation hygiene. Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the Global Programme to End Child Marriage initiated by the United Nations Population Fund and the United Nations Children's Fund in India during the 2016-2023 period. India, which previously had a high prevalence of child marriage practices, has shown a significant decrease and even led the global decline in child marriage prevalence over the last decade. The study applies the theory of International Organization and Implementation with a management approach as an analytical framework. The methodology employed is descriptive with qualitative data analysis techniques. Data collection relies on document analysis and official publications from relevant sources. The results reveal that the United Nations Population Fund and the United Nations Children's Fund implement the Global Programme through a management approach in three ways: monitoring, capacity building, and problem solving. Monitoring is carried out through data information systems and field visits, with adaptations made during the pandemic. Capacity building includes life skills enhancement, educational programs, and empowerment initiatives. Problem solving focuses on financial issues, research, education, and adjustments to pandemic challenges. This research provides in-depth insights into international organization interventions in addressing complex social issues at the national level. Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi Global Programme to End Child Marriage yang diinisiasi oleh United Nations Population Fund dan United Nations Children's Fund di India selama periode 2016-2023. India, yang sebelumnya memiliki prevalensi tinggi dalam praktik pernikahan anak, telah menunjukkan penurunan signifikan bahkan memimpin dalam penurunan prevalensi pernikahan anak secara global dalam dekade terakhir. Studi ini mengaplikasikan teori International Organization and Implementation dengan management approach sebagai kerangka analitis. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan teknik analisis data kualitatif. Pengumpulan data mengandalkan analisis dokumen dan publikasi resmi dari sumber-sumber terkait. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa United Nations Population Fund dan United Nations Children's Fund mengimplementasikan Program Global melalui management approach melalui tiga cara: monitoring, capacity building and problem solving. Monitoring dilaksanakan melalui sistem informasi data dan kunjungan lapangan, dengan adaptasi selama pandemi. Capacity building meliputi peningkatan keterampilan hidup, program pendidikan, dan inisiatif pemberdayaan. Problem solving berfokus pada isu-isu keuangan, penelitian, pendidikan, dan penyesuaian terhadap tantangan pandemi. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang intervensi organisasi internasional dalam mengatasi permasalahan sosial yang kompleks di tingkat nasional.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai upaya yang dilakukan pemerintah dan pelaku usaha di sektor pariwisata untuk meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara selama periode 2021 hingga 2024. Penurunan jumlah wisatawan mancanegara pasca pandemi COVID-19 menjadi perhatian khusus pemerintah dan pelaku usaha karena berdampak pada ketidakstabilan ekonomi dan popularitas pariwisata di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan, program, dan aksesibilitas untuk meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi analisis kualitatif terhadap laporan perkembangan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara, laporan organisasi pengelola destinasi, dan data-data yang terkait dengan Bali Beyond and Travel Fair (BBTF), jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara, upaya pengembangan pariwisata. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa melalui program pameran dagang internasional Bali Beyond dan Travel Fair, pemerintah dan organisasi serta pelaku bisnis pariwisata telah berhasil melakukan kerjasama untuk meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara dari berbagai perspektif. Dari segi bisnis, upaya yang dilakukan adalah mengedepankan promosi pariwisata Indonesia, khususnya Bali dan sekitarnya, dengan menciptakan inovasi-inovasi untuk mendukung peningkatan penjualan paket-paket wisata. Dari sisi pemerintah mengupayakan kemudahan akses pasar, koneksi, dan kebijakan-kebijakan yang berlaku selama program berlangsung. Kata Kunci: pemerintah; bisnis; diplomasi komersial; bali beyond dan travel fair; pariwisata. Abstract: This study examines the efforts made by the government and business actors in the tourism sector to increase the number of foreign tourist visits during the period 2021 to 2024. The decline in the number of foreign tourists after the COVID-19 pandemic is of particular concern to the government and business actors because it has an impact on economic instability and tourism popularity in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze policies, programs, and accessibility to increase foreign tourist visits. The research methods used in this study include qualitative analysis of reports on the development of the number of foreign tourist visits, reports of destination management organizations, and data related to the Bali Beyond and Travel Fair (BBTF), the number of foreign tourist visits, tourism development efforts. The results of this study show that through the Bali Beyond and Travel Fair international trade show program, the government and tourism organizations and businesses have successfully cooperated to increase the number of foreign tourist visits from various perspectives. In terms of business, the efforts made are prioritizing the promotion of Indonesian tourism, especially Bali and its surroundings, by creating innovations to support the increase in sales of tour packages. From the government side, it seeks easy access to markets, connections, and policies that apply during the program.
