Abstract

This research discusses how far job satisfaction is achieved, the factors that influence job satisfaction, and what needs to be done in order to increase the job satisfaction of Government Employees working at the Bogor Regency Secretariat. The objective of this research is to analyze the level of job satisfaction and the factors that influence job satisfaction, plus recommend what can be done to increase job satisfaction of Government Employees working at the Bogor Regency Secretariat. A criteria range analysis (analisis rentang kriteria) method was used to determine the level of job satisfaction of Government Employees. Results revealed that Government Employees were at a satisfied scale. The results from this research were obtained by using a factor analysis method to analyze the factors of job satisfaction of Government Employees. Eleven dominant factors were the reasons why Government Employees were satisfied with their jobs. These factors include: 1. Salary; 2. Benefits and facilities; 3. Relationship between superiors and subordinates; 4. Relationship among coworkers; 5. Development; 6. Opportunity; 7. Safety at work; 8. Education; 9. Policies within the organization; 10. Conflict resolution; and 11. Career achievements. The results of this research can be used as a suggestion for organization managements to improve the job satisfaction of Government Employees. The management can focus their attention on improving employee job satisfaction by referring to the eleven dominant factors in order to become more efficient and effective in making policies and be able to focus on the improving these job satisfaction factors.

Abstract

The main problem of the research was the deficient in operational risk control of marine exports at Kintetsu World Express Indonesia. Risk control is an integral part of management's responsibility to ensure the achievement of organizational goals. This research consists of independent variables, namely risk management and operational performance, as well as mediating variable, namely service quality, and the dependent variable, namely customer satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the influence of risk management and operational performance through service quality, simultaneously or partially, and directly or indirectly, on customers’ satisfaction at one of the Logistics’ companies in Indonesia. All users of cargo delivery services, 30 respondents, at Kintetsu World Express Indonesia in 2021 were taken as samples. Hypothesis testing was carried out using Path analysis method. The results of hypothesis testing carried out on Model-1 structure show that simultaneously the risk management variable and operational performance have a positive and significant effect. The results of hypothesis testing carried out on Model-2 structure show that simultaneously the service quality variable has a positive and significant effect on customer’s satisfaction.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is that there was an import customs settlement process that still requires the results of a surveyor company certified by the government to be attached to the Bonded Logistics Center warehouse outside the port, increasing the waiting time.This research analyzes the import handling process, government policies, and customs compliance in handling heavy equipment spare parts.This research used a qualitative analysis approach with purposive sampling with 10 informants from various companies.The research findings are that there was still a lack of government role in increasing the effectiveness of handling the import process of heavy equipment spare parts at the heavy equipment trading company, due to weaknesses in determining import restrictions.Steel heavy equipment spare parts were invalid because heavy equipment spare parts were made in factories in the home country of the heavy equipment maker. It is difficult to transfer technology to domestic production because the price of fabrication machines requires quite a high investment and high technical specifications.
