Abstract

DKI Jakarta experienced the rice production deficit of 99.61% in 2020. The problem arised because DKI Jakarta could fulfill its rice necessity from other cities and the poor management of the warehouse and distribution system. The aim of the study is to propose a warehouse management to improve the effective distribution system. The study used qualitative descriptive research method. There were 16 officials of the warehouse management and distribution system in PT. Tjipinang Jaya Food Station as the participants. The data was processed using the credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability tests approaches. The results of the study indicate that the warehouse management and distribution system in PT. Tjipinang Jaya Food Station is considered ineffective and inefficient in improving food security operation in DKI Jakarta. The evidence found is the absorption or the less than demand purchase of the product, which is 2,665 tons with a total demand of 688,226 tons. The problem with inequality distribution, decreased quantity in the distribution process, raw materials received delay, unfulfilled delivery of finished material to consumers and uncertainty of the warehouse utilization planning are factors needed to be restored continuously in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to find out the direct and indirect contribution of human resources quality to the achievement of revenue target mediated by business strategy of the national logistics company. This research used SmartPLS 3.0-SEM and the sample was 53 employees of the Angkasa Pura Logistik head office. The result of the research indicates that the corporate business strategy is able to mediate human resources quality to the revenue target achievement in Angkasa Pura Logistik. The company provides its employees with education and trainings to improve their quality. During the pandemic, the company had implemented the newest business strategy by opening new branches with better operation. The company should also choose the employees selectively with competences needed in the respective fields. Angkasa Pura Logistik sustainably has improved and enhanced its service and product in line with the increasing demand. For further research, it can be proposed to study the contribution of these variables on similar companies in other countries.

Abstract

Qualitative research relies on both primary and secondary data. This research aims to elucidate the implementation of green supply chain management in the tempeh industry, as well as to illustrate how green supply chain management can be applied to effectively manage waste generated by the tempeh industry. The ultimate goal is to promote environmental sustainability and mitigate the issue of industrial waste, thereby ensuring a clean and healthy environment. The findings of this study indicate that the integration of green supply chain management in the tempeh industry has been effectively executed. The utilization of raw resources also aligns with the concepts of green supply chain. In addition to that, there is excellent cooperation within the supply chain. Nevertheless, there are still areas for improvement in the supply chain flow of the green supply chain implementation in the tempe business in North Jakarta. Additional empirical study is required to examine the aspects that contribute to the performance of green supply chains.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of reverse logistics management in terms of after sales service repair return activities such as the activity of managing the broken item, export and import, and broken item handling activities at the warehouse etc. using the purposive sampling, the respondents selected consists of 5 person whose active engage in the activity. This research is conducted through descriptive qualitative data analysis with interviews, observations, and internal documentation. According to the research results of reverse logistics management on repair returns, there are still a lot of rooms needed to improve the performance, and speed up the lead time. There is still a room for improvement needed such as SOP standardization of each reverse logistics activities involved itself, should have need some of goods movement configuration and management such as, flow of communication, flow of goods, flow of documents and the administrative work improvement on creating the export import license permit document to avoid the error which can lead to a longer lead time.

Abstract

The main problem of the research was the deficient in operational risk control of marine exports at Kintetsu World Express Indonesia. Risk control is an integral part of management's responsibility to ensure the achievement of organizational goals. This research consists of independent variables, namely risk management and operational performance, as well as mediating variable, namely service quality, and the dependent variable, namely customer satisfaction. This research aims to analyze the influence of risk management and operational performance through service quality, simultaneously or partially, and directly or indirectly, on customers’ satisfaction at one of the Logistics’ companies in Indonesia. All users of cargo delivery services, 30 respondents, at Kintetsu World Express Indonesia in 2021 were taken as samples. Hypothesis testing was carried out using Path analysis method. The results of hypothesis testing carried out on Model-1 structure show that simultaneously the risk management variable and operational performance have a positive and significant effect. The results of hypothesis testing carried out on Model-2 structure show that simultaneously the service quality variable has a positive and significant effect on customer’s satisfaction.

Abstract

Abstract: Subsidizing fuel oil (BBM), mainly diesel fuel, has become a strategic policy of the Indonesian government to support the transportation sector, including ferries. Subsidies are designed to maintain price stability and support efficient operations. The increase in the realization of fuel subsidies every year shows challenges in its management and allocation. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the allocation of subsidized diesel quotas on PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) crossing vessels in the Merak-Bakauheni crossing, as well as accountability for use. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, involving 11 key informants with direct experience in monitoring the use of subsidized diesel. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and analysis of relevant documents. The results showed that the preparation of the subsidized diesel quota allocation has been running effectively, and the provisions set by BPH Migas carry out the distribution of subsidies. Some aspects require improvement, especially monitoring and accountability, to ensure the subsidy is used optimally. Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the impact of direct and indirect contribution of inventory control and delivery lead time of PT. Jakarta Notebook service quality and employees’ performance. The main problem of the study was the inadequate warehouses’ inventory control which cause out of stock and re-order when customers place orders. It is due to slow and inaccurate employees’ services. Another problem was caused by the frequent delay of the goods delivery to customers that impact on the service quality. This research used a quantitative research method. This study took 36 employees of PT Jakarta Notebook from the warehouse operation division as the respondents. The data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires and analysing the data using Partial Least Square. The results show that inventory control and lead time partially contribute to service quality and employees’ performance. The service quality contributes to employees’ performance and could mediate the contribution of inventory control on employees’ performance. However, the service quality has not able to mediate the lead time contribution on employees’ performance of PT Jakarta Notebook warehouse operational division.

Abstract

 The study aims to find out the contribution of distribution costs using Franko system and Cost Insurance Freight to sales volume mediated by the selling price in PT Minamas Plantations. Some of the problems in the research were the low level of efficiency to produce product volumes including Crude Palm Oil and the delay in loading or unloading using Cost Insurance Freight (CIF) distribution system resulted in demurrage costs. The statistical method used to test the hypothesis was Partial Least Square with Smart PLS-3 program. The sample was taken from 31 months data of distribution costs using Franko system and Cost Insurance Freight. The conclusion of the research is the Crude Palm Oil selling price is able to mediate the distribution costs using Franko system and CIF of its sales volume in PT Minamas Plantations. The key finding, based on the statistical results, shows that the biggest influence is the distribution cost variable based on Cost Insurance Freight system.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of revenue on Operating Profit Margin with Operational Cost as a mediator through the time charter and freight charter systems at PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk (BSML). The research method used is quantitative and associated with the company's secondary data. The study population includes Revenue Time Charter, Freight Charter, Operational Cost, and Operating Profit Margin at PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk from 2020. The sample consists of monthly data from January 2020 to December 2022, with 36 samples from 5 company vessels. The path analysis method is used with the help of SPSS Ver. 26 software. The study results show a positive and significant effect between Revenue and Operational Cost on the Time Charter and Freight Charter systems. Revenue also has a positive and significant effect on Operating Profit Margin in both systems. However, Operational Cost only has a positive and significant effect on Operating Profit Margin in the Freight Charter system. Indirectly, Revenue through Operational Cost affects the Operating Profit Margin in the Freight Charter system, but not in the Time Charter system. There is a significant difference between Revenue, Operational Cost, and Operating Profit Margin generated by the two systems at PT. Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk. With the implication that the company must ensure that the increase in revenue is followed by operational cost efficiency by the company's management.

Abstract

PT Pratama Abadi Industri (JX) merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dalam bidang produksi sepatu. Salah satu produknya yaitu sepatu model “X”. Pada proses produksinya, masih sering dijumpai terjadinya waste. Untuk mengurangi waste yang teridentifikasi, digunakan pendekatan lean six sigma. Langkah yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan siklus DMAIC yaitu terdiri dari define, measure, analyze, improve, dan control. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan waste yang teridentifikasi yaitu 4 jenis waste pada proses produksi sepatu model “X” yang terdiri dari waste defect, waiting, excess processing, dan excees transportation. Alat bantu yang digunakan yakni Value Stream Mapping (VSM) pada tahap define, DPMO pada tahap measure, Fishbone Diagram pada tahap analyze dan Failure Mode Effect Analyze (FMEA) pada tahap improve. Rekomendasi perbaikan diberikan terhadap waste dengan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN) tertinggi sesuai pengolahan data pada Failure Mode Effect Analyze (FMEA). Rekomendasi perbaikan yang diberikan adalah membuat proyek setting management system, monitoring hasil pekerjaan operator menggunakan sistem barcode, dan melakukan relayout dan menerapkan kaizen 5S. Setelah diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan, langkah selanjutnya adalah memperkirakan penurunan nilai RPN pada FMEA berdasarkan rekomendasi yang diberikan.
