Abstract

Abstract: The objetive of this research was designing and implementing a windows-and-linux-based thin client network to obtain a specification of thin client network which can used by educational institution as tools of learning. This research began studying concept of thin client network and its various and usage, designing its appropriate architecture, implementing and evaluating the architecure to obtain information related to the specification. The analysis result showed that cost of implementation of thin client network needs only quarter of total cost of the standard network. The evaluation of Windows Terminal Server which involving 60 users showed that average of total of processor time was 16.25% and average of processor queue length was 0. While the evaluation of Linux Terminal Server showed that average of respon time of the server was 5 second and average of idle time of processor was 97%. The reasearch was concluded that performance of both server appropriate for thin client network..

Abstract

Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) is a government aid whose recipient data is submitted to each region for processing. The data processing of the Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) uses the bookkeeping method. The problems and obstacles faced are the occurrence of file stacking, file damage, difficulties in finding data and the occurrence of data duplication in the data input process. These problems lead to errors in the use of data by interested parties. Based on the existing problems, a Transaction Processing System (TPS) was designed to facilitate data processing and minimize errors and errors. The designed Transaction Processing System (TPS) is a web-based information system. The use of this system can make data stored properly and regularly. And if there is an addition and deletion of data can be done directly by the user concerned. Transaction Processing System for processing population data can provide convenience for users in inputting and processing data. The designed system has been built and tested based on user requirements.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor produksi yang paling penting untuk mewujudkan pertumbuhan dan pembangunan ekonomi yang baik adalah tenaga kerja. Para ahli menaruh perhatian pada dunia pendidikan sebagai faktor penting untuk meningkatkan keahlian dan keterampilan tenaga kerja. Desa Batang-Batang Daya, Kecamatan Batang-Batang, Kabupaten Sumenep memiliki lembaga pendidikan formal yang jauh lebih banyak dibandingkan desa-desa lain di Kecamatan Batang-Batang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan pendapatan masyarakat, dampak dari perkembangan tersebut, dan dampak urbanisasi terhadap perkembangan pendapatan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknis analisis data yang dipakai pada penelitian ini adalah analisis domain (domain analysis). Dari penelitian ini dapat diperoleh tiga hasil, yaitu: (1) Pendapatan masyarakat Desa Batang-Batang Daya tidak berkembang signifikan. (2) Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan, di tengah stagnasi tingkat pendapatan, masyarakat memilih jalur pinjam ke kerabat, ke bank, rentenir, atau koperasi, dan juga melakukan urbanisasi atau merantau. (3) Dampak dari urbanisasi adalah menurunkan tingkat pendapatan masyarakat. Kata Kunci: pendapatan, pertumbuhan ekonomi, pembangunan ekonomi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pendekatan user centered design dapat membangun rancangan user interface dan user experience yang memudahkan pengguna dalam menggunakan aplikasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah user centered design dan system usability scale agar dapat diketahui bahwa desain tersebut telah menjadi desain yang dibutuhkan dari user. Hasil dari penelitian didapatkan nilai akhir sebesar 86,58333333. Nilai tersebut masuk dalam kategori Excelent / Sangat Baik dalam rentangan nilai SUS. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan pendekatan User Centered Design dan system usability scale sebagai tolak ukur penarikan kesimpulan dapat membuat rancangan user interface dan user experience yang memudahkan pengguna dalam menggunakan aplikasi Self Service In Food Menu And Order.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether by using the Unified Modeling Language application developers can easily understand the self service system. The method used in this study is the Unified Modeling Language method to produce system modeling in the form of three Unified Modeling Language diagrams (use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams) and the test method to produce an average score of 89.75 test respondents' understanding. Based on the research results obtained, it is concluded that the use of the Unified Modeling Language makes it easier for application developers to understand the self service system of the Self Service in Food Menu and Order application so that it can be used as a benchmark if you want to develop Self Service in Food Menu and Order applications in the future.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis usability pada aplikasi Self Service in Food Menu and Order menggunakan metode heuristic evaluation sehingga dapat meningkatkan usability dan memberikan saran perbaikan terhadap permasalahan usability yang masuk dalam kategori penilaian rendah. Metode heuristic evaluation memiliki 10 prinsip yaitu visibility of system status, match between system and the real world, user control and freedom, consistency and standards, error prevention, recognition rather than recall, flexibility and efficiency of use, aesthetic and minimalist design, help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors, dan help and documentation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat usability dari 20 responden rumah makan didapatkan sebesar 74,8% dan 20 responden pelanggan didapatkan sebesar 78% sehingga keduanya masuk dalam tingkat usability tinggi. Dari hasil evaluasi heuristic evaluation didapatkan beberapa aspek yang memenuhi penilaian dan beberapa aspek juga masuk dalam kategori penilaian rendah sehingga membutuhkan perbaikan. Masalah teridentifikasi terbanyak ditemukan pada user control and freedom dan help and documentation. Sehingga dalam penelitian ini, rekomendasi perbaikan yang diberikan pada aplikasi Self Service in Food Menu and Order yaitu menambah tombol kembali pada setiap halaman terutama pada fitur status pesanan ke menu makanan, menambahkan fitur filter makanan dan minuman pada menu dan menambahkan fitur bantuan atau dokumentasi.

Abstract

Recycling is a way of processing used materials that is started with selection, collection, then the process of foundry to create a new product that is more valuable economical. The objective of this research is to know the effect of casting temperature with the kind of guide material AI alloy junk from brake shoe and pan on porosity, hardness, microstructure (the evaporative foundry result). The recycling of used aluminum is an alternative to reduce the waste material from aluminum. Casting temperature is an variable that can effect the result of foundry where if the casting temperature is low, then there will be a quick freeze before the mold is completely filled. And if the casting temperature is too high, then shrinkage can occur and the porosity value may increase. This research used four casting temperature variations, namely: 650°C, 700°C, 750°C, and 800°C. The evaporative foundry method uses styrofoam pattern that is piled up into sand mold. The metal that is casted will form like styrofoam pattern. The result of casting temperature testing can effect on porosity, hardness, and microstructure.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa User Experience pada website Mind & Soul berdasarkan dari responden pengguna menggunakan metode USE Questionnaire. Metode ini memiliki 4 aspek yaitu Usefulness, Ease of Use, Ease of Learning, dan Satisfaction. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada pengguna sebagai media pengumpulan data, lalu dilanjutkan dengan menguji validitas data untuk menganalisa data dari 24 butir pernyataan yang layak untuk diolah. Kemudian, diteruskan dengan menguji reliabilitas data dari 24 butir pernyataan yang menghasilkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0.940. Hasil pada aspek-aspek USE Questionnaire yakni, hasil aspek Usefulness dengan sebesar 83.46%, aspek Ease of Use dengan persentase sebesar 89%, aspek Ease of Learning dengan persentase sebesar 91.5%, dengan aspek Satisfaction dengan persentase sebesar 83.18%. Dari hasil tersebut, untuk keseluruhan hasil penelitian ini mengandung persentase sebesar 86.08%, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Website Mind & Soul telah memenuhi kriteria pada USE Questionnaire.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to do a performance test on the Invitees website and how optimal the load time is on the main function of the invitees website. This test was conducted using the Load Testing method with the Apache Jmeter tool. The load time obtained from the test is then compared with the test target to find out how optimal the load time of the Invitees website is. From the test, it was obtained that the average load time of the invitees website when the service was used, represented by the first and second scenarios, had met the test target, which was under 3 seconds. As for the results based on the third scenario which represents the condition of the service used with twice as many user loads, the average load time does not meet the test target. So it can be concluded that the Invitees website has worked optimally when the service is used but still needs to be improved if the service is used by more users.
