Abstract

Higher education has been paying close attention to adaptive learning systems (ALS) coupled with learning management systems (LMS) because of their potential to improve student outcomes and personalise learning experiences. The purpose of this study is to assess how well ALS combined with LMS can raise student engagement, academic achievement, and general satisfaction in higher education environments. Using a combination of quantitative data from academic performance measurements and qualitative input from focus groups and student questionnaires, a mixed-methods approach was used. A mid-sized university hosted the study over two semesters, with 500 undergraduate students enrolled in a range of subjects. A control group utilising a conventional LMS and an experimental group using an LMS linked with ALS were each given a set of participants. The quantitative analysis revealed a statistically significant improvement in academic performance for students in the experimental group (p < 0.05). Additionally, student engagement, measured through LMS activity logs and interaction frequencies, was notably higher in the experimental group. Qualitative feedback indicated that students appreciated the personalised learning paths and timely feedback provided by the ALS, reporting increased motivation and satisfaction with their learning experience. The integration of adaptive learning systems within LMS platforms demonstrates a positive impact on student academic performance, engagement, and satisfaction in higher education. These findings suggest that educational institutions should consider adopting an ALS-integrated LMS to support personalised learning and improve educational outcomes. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term effects and scalability of such systems across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

An activity such as office meetings, gatherings, and business needs are often conducted outside the office premises. Various locations commonly used include halls, private meeting rooms, cafes, or other paid public spaces. However, booking these places can be time-consuming and costly. To address this issue, there is a need for an online platform that connects space owners and renters. Paketempat serves as an online platform where individuals, communities, organizations, or groups can find suitable locations for gatherings, meetings, or office purposes, with a different atmosphere and budget to match their needs (in the Malang and surrounding areas). The goal is for both renters and space owners to benefit from this platform. Renters can discover new environments for their events, find places that align with their theme and budget, and save time. Space owners can profit financially by utilizing and renting out their available spaces by the hour or day. From this application, several usability responses have been gathered from both owners and users of Paketempat. In general, the survey results, conducted through a Google form distributed to Paketempat users, have been positive, encompassing speed, completeness of information, and user interface.

Abstract

Penerimaan pajak negara dapat dibagi menjadi dua peneriamaan, yaitu dari pajak orang pribadi dan juga badan usaha. Pengabdian yang dilakukan ini untuk bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan sebagai bekal kepada siswa/i SMA Dian Bangsa dalam perihal perpajakan, yang dimana diharapkan ketika menyelesaikan jenjang pendidikan di SMA dapat melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi dan sudah mendapatkan ilmu perpajakan. Dalam pengabdian ini yang dilaksanakan adalah dengan materi E-SPT dan pajak orang pribadi atau PPh 21. Pengabdian ini diharapkan memberikan dampak dan juga pengetahuan untuk menambah keilmuan pada siswa/i SMA Dian Bangsa. Pengabdian ini dijalankan dengan baik dan menghasilkan sesuatu yang positif dimana terdapat diskusi yang baik dan antusias oleh siswa/i yang mengikuti.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan hak tiap tiap warga negara, dari pendidikan lah perubahan pola pikir dan perilaku dapat tercipta, melalui pendidikan juga membuka cakrawala baru bagi tiap insan manusia di suatu negara. Tugas pokok dan fungsi seorang pendidik salah satunya dengan melaksanakan unsur pendidikan, diluar 3 unsur tri-dharma lainnya. Tiap- tiap mata kuliah yang diajarkanpun seyogyanya memiliki implementasi yang sesuai dengan keadaan yang terjadi saat ini di dunia pekerjaan. Untuk itu tim pengabdian Universitas Jakarta Internasional menyelenggarakan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terhadap siswa/i SMA Kristoforus II, Jakarta sebagai bentuk tanggungjawab sosial seorang pendidik terhadap lingkungan sebagai bekal untuk para siswa/i menghadapi hari-hari setelah kelulusan mereka dari sekolah menengah. Metode dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah , dan juga metode partisipatori, dimana menekankan keterlibatan siswa/i dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini

Abstract

The development of technology today is very undoubted so that information is easy to access anytime and anywhere. The ease of accessing information gives new enthusiasm for humans in developing information technology or commonly referred to as Geographic Information System (GIS). The definition of GIS itself is a special information system that manages data that has special information, or it can also be interpreted as information about the place or location where the geographical location is located. Batam city is one of the cities in the Riau archipelego province. Batam is famous as a location visited by foreign and domestic tourists. Tourists that visit Batam city have a habit of bringing  food as souvenirs from Batam. However, tourists and local people sometimes have difficulty in finding the location of stores that sell food souvenirs. This study aims to develop a Geographic Information System application that maps the location of gift shops in Batam. The result of this study is web-based GIS applications, which uses Google Maps API to display maps and retrieve store location coordinates. Through the application, the tourist can be helped in finding the location of souvenir shops in the city of Batam.

Abstract

Restoran Kuliner Vegetarian yang terletak pada daerah kota Batam. Dulunya, Restoran Kuliner Vegetarian hanya di fungsikan sebagai jual beli kuliner ditempat. Dan sekarang seiring berkembang nya waktu, disana telah ada menjadi tempat favorit bagi masyarakat kota Batam. Pelayanan informasi yang global dapat meningkatkan penjualan. Pelayanan sebagai usaha melayani kebutuhan konsumen yang lebih luas sehingga konsumen bisa membeli makanan vegetarian tanpa harus datang ke restoran. Pegawai pada bagian pemasaran memberikan pelayanan kepada konsumen,sesuai apa yang ingin di ketahui oleh konsumen agar konsumen mengetahui informasi yang berhubungan dengan produk yang akan di beli. Dalam penulisan ini metode yang digunakan adalah Metode Waterfall, Field Research, Library research, laboratory research.
