Abstract

The manufacturing industry, particularly the automotive sector, faces significant challenges in managing lead time for spare parts procurement, which impacts operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. PT TACI, a company specializing in compressor production for vehicle air conditioning systems, encounters delay in the spare parts procurement process, affecting its production schedule. The purpose of this research is to analyze and improve the spare part procurement and operational lead time control processes at PT TACI. The study identifies barriers in the current processes, especially those related to technology, web integration, and supplier agreements. A qualitative approach was employed, consisting of in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and direct observations with key personnel in PT TACI’s Part Tool Inventory Control (PTIC) department. The findings reveal that delays primarily arise from manual approval processes, inefficient data integration between IMS and EPS systems, and inconsistent supplier performance. The research also emphasizes the role of digital technology, particularly web-based integration and supplier agreements, in enhancing procurement efficiency. Based on Business Process Improvement (BPI) principles, this study proposes a set of recommendations, including the automation of the approval process, real-time system integration, improved supplier collaboration, and the simplification of routine procurement processes. The implications of this research suggest that digital system optimization and stronger supplier relationships can significantly reduce lead times and improve operational performance. Future research could explore advanced technologies like AI or Blockchain for further procurement process optimization.

Abstract

The ceramic industry plays a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, particularly in supporting the continuously growing property and infrastructure sectors. However, the significant contribution of this industry is not without environmental issues, especially concerning carbon emissions from the firing process, production waste, and high natural resource consumption. As stakeholder pressure and global demands for sustainable business practices increase, companies are required to adopt strategies that not only enhance operational efficiency but also minimize negative environmental impacts. Therefore, the implementation of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) becomes essential in reducing environmental harm and improving operational efficiency. This study aims to analyze the influence of GSCM on environmental and economic performance in the ceramic industry, using PT. Mulia Keramik Indahraya as a case study. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative-causal method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 72 employees and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that Stakeholder Pressure has a significant effect on Green Supply Chain Management (p-value 0.000 < 0.05), demonstrating that stakeholder pressure drives GSCM implementation. Green Supply Chain Management also significantly influences Economic Performance (p-value 0.000 < 0.05), meaning that GSCM adoption enhances the company's economic performance. However, the effect of Green Supply Chain Management on Environmental Performance is not significant (p-value 0.064 > 0.05), suggesting that GSCM implementation has not yet had a measurable impact on environmental performance. Meanwhile, Environmental Performance significantly affects Economic Performance (p-value 0.001 < 0.05), indicating that improved environmental performance also boosts the company's economic performance.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate public satisfaction with BPOM services in Pangkal Pinang by applying the SERVQUAL method to identify the gap between expectations and perceptions, and to determine the influential service quality dimensions, both partially and simultaneously. The analysis involved five SERVQUAL dimensions—Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy—plus an additional Anti-Corruption dimension. Using a quantitative approach and survey of 104 respondents, data were analyzed through multiple regression, t-tests, and F-tests. The findings revealed that Tangibles, Reliability, and Responsiveness had significant partial effects on public satisfaction, while Assurance and Empathy were not statistically significant. Simultaneously, all dimensions significantly influenced satisfaction, and the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) score of 94.00 indicated a high level of satisfaction. SWOT analysis was used to formulate strategies, with the SO (Strengths–Opportunities) strategy emerging as the most appropriate—highlighting the need to leverage internal strengths, such as digital innovation and qualified human resources, to seize external opportunities. The study concludes that while BPOM’s service quality is generally rated highly, improvements are needed in empathy and assurance aspects. Therefore, it is recommended to enhance service digitization, strengthen employee competencies and ethics, improve public communication, and expand inclusive, participatory service models.
