Abstract

Indonesia's human resources are abundant with its large population being one of the largest nations in the world. This shows that there are great opportunities for public organizations. This research was conducted to determine the influence of human resource management (HRM) practices on the organizational commitment of employees at the Class IIA Cikarang Correctional Institution. This is intended because there is a need to manage employees as one of the human resources (HR) in prisons whose numbers do not yet meet needs. As mandated in Permenkumham Number 11 of 2022, correctional institutions need to achieve the title of corruption-free area (WBK) and service-free bureaucratic area (WBBM) as a form of organizational commitment to providing services to inmates and the community. This research uses quantitative methods and data by distributing surveys to 103 employees as a questionnaire. The questionnaire was then measured using SmartPLS and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) with simple regression. The research results show that human resource management practices have a positive and significant influence on the organizational commitment of employees at the Class IIA Cikarang Prison. This research shows that leaders can manage existing employees based on the principle of "The right man in the right place." Even though the number of employees is limited, determining the strategy applied in managing employees can be done with human resource management practices in achieving organizational commitment.

OCB is the behavior of organizational members who provide voluntary assistance outside the job description which is very beneficial for the organization because it can increase effectiveness and efficiency in the organization. Many factors can affect OCB, one of which is trust. This study aims to examine the effect of trust on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) on officers at Class IIB Kudus State Detention Center. This study uses quantitative methods with research subjects all officers at Class IIB Kudus State Detention Center. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence trust has on Organization Citizenship Behavior on officers. The sample in this study amounted to 46 officers obtained with the saturated sample technique. The data in this study were obtained through distributing questionnaires and using data analysis with the simple linear regression analysis method and processed in the SPSS program. The research procedures tested include validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing and research hypothesis testing. The results of the simultaneous test (f) and partial test (t) found that the value of f arithmetic was greater than f table (10.401> 4.06) and t arithmetic was greater than t table (3.225 > 2.015). This shows that there is an influence of the Trust variable on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) variable and there is a positive and significant relationship between the two variables. This means that trust has a positive influence on OCB on officers at Class IIB Kudus State Detention Center.

This questionnaire contains 12 statement items related to the variables studied. Data analysis techniques are carried out through the outer model and inner model, namely validity test, reliability test, r square, goodness of fit, f square, and path coefficients which are processed using SmartPLS software. The results of the outer loading, AVE, HTMT, Cronbach's alpha, and composite reliability research are declared valid and reliable. The r square test results obtained a value of 0.579 which explained that the effect of knowledge-sharing variables on innovation performance of 57.9% was stated to be moderate and the remaining 42.1% was influenced by other variables not explained in this study.
