Abstract

Cooperatives as membership-based economic entities have experienced an evolution from the traditional model (TC) to the new generation model (NGC). TC is known for its social orientation and simple structure, but often experiences limited capital and difficulty adapting to modern business dynamics. Responding to these weaknesses, NGC comes with a business model that is more open to external capital, professional management, and full supply chain penetration. Even though it provides significant added value, NGC is faced with challenges in maintaining the social values of cooperation and relationships between members. This article analyzes the comparison between TC and NGC, highlights the advantages and disadvantages of each model, and formulates the future development direction of cooperatives that integrates the positive elements of both models. The results of this research provide a basis for formulating recommendations for cooperative development in the future. It is recommended that cooperatives adopt a flexible business model, combining traditional and modern aspects. The importance of maintaining cooperative social values is in line with increasing efficiency and competitiveness. Efforts are needed to increase member literacy in terms of business management, and cooperatives need to build strategic partnerships with external parties to support growth and innovation. It is hoped that the implementation of these recommendations can lead cooperatives towards a sustainable future and provide maximum benefits for their members.

Abstract

This paper explores the intricate relationship between constitutional values of equality and justice and their impact on political stability, with a specific focus on Indonesia's post-authoritarian context. Constitutional ideals, while crucial, face challenges in translating into tangible outcomes due to implementation gaps and entrenchment of inequalities. The study employs a comparative analysis of national constitutions, examining cases where provisions of justice and equality either succeeded or failed to foster stable political environments. Pathways linking constitutional equality to political stability are scrutinized, emphasizing both procedural and substantive dimensions. The research employs political stability indicators to unravel the nuanced relationship between constitutional principles and governance outcomes. In the context of Indonesia, the paper delves into the complexities of legal politics during the transition from the New Order to reformasi democracy. The post-authoritarian landscape witnessed struggles for freedom of expression and human rights enforcement, reflecting the challenges of aligning legal frameworks with democratic principles. The analysis considers the uneven progress in rule of law reforms, navigating the legacies of patrimonialism and oligarchic influence

Abstract

The use of slang in Instagram social media among teenagers has become a significant phenomenon. This article investigates the factors that influence the use of slang and its impact on adolescents. The results of the study show that the development of the times, the influence of the internet and electronic media have contributed to the spread of slang. The impact of using slang includes expression of positive identity and more intimate communication, but also includes the potential for decreased interest in good and correct Indonesian, ambiguity in official vocabulary, and negative use. In this digital era, it is important to understand the consequences of using slang on social media and how education and awareness about proper language can help young people overcome this challenge.

Abstract

This research explores and analyzes various aspects related to public speaking and speech production errors in real life contexts. Through a literature review, this research explains the types of speech production errors, their causes, and strategies to anticipate these errors. This research also links speech production errors with public speaking, highlighting the importance of psycholinguistic understanding in this regard. The research results show that anticipating speech production errors is the key to improving public speaking skills. Anticipation strategies include preparing the topic well, maintaining composure, focusing, and using familiar vocabulary. Speech production errors can disrupt the flow of a presentation, so a deep understanding of these aspects is very important in public speaking.

Abstract

This study presents a reformulation of the Personalized Mean-CVaR model into an unconstrained optimization problem, which is then solved using iterative methods, including steepest descent and Newton’s method. The reformulation introduces challenges related to feasibility region checking, convexity of the feasible set and objective functions, and the use of Lagrange multipliers to handle constraints. Additionally, Taylor expansion is utilized to approximate the objective function in each iteration. The research evaluates the effectiveness of iterative optimization techniques in solving the Personalized Mean-CVaR problem, while addressing key challenges in convergence and stability of the solution.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven a significant increase in the use of email as a primary communication tool across various sectors. Spam emails have become a serious issue that can disrupt productivity and threaten data security as well as user privacy. Conventional rule-based spam filtering systems are no longer considered effective in countering increasingly sophisticated and adaptive spam attack patterns. A more dynamic and accurate approach is required through the utilization of Machine Learning. This study aims to analyze and compare the performance of several Machine Learning algorithms in detecting spam emails, namely Extra Trees Classifier, Random Forest, Support Vector Machine (SVM) with an RBF kernel, and CatBoost. The methodology involves data acquisition from the SMS Spam Collection Dataset, data preprocessing through text cleaning and feature extraction using Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF), followed by model training and evaluation using Accuracy, F1 Score, and ROC AUC metrics. The results show that the Extra Trees Classifier achieved the best performance, with an Accuracy of 97.29%, an F1 Score of 0.8814, and a ROC AUC of 0.9868. Tree-based ensemble models, particularly Extra Trees and Random Forest, demonstrated superior capability in maintaining a balance between precision and recall. The SVM (RBF) recorded the highest AUC value but presented a trade-off in the form of a higher number of False Negatives. The findings of this research serve as a reference for the development of more adaptive and effective Machine Learning–based spam detection systems.
