Abstract

Like business enterprises, mosques and other nonprofit organizations also need to have a vital source of competitive advantage to increase their worshippers' uniqueness and attractiveness. If it can be adequately managed, imam masjid can be one of the uniqueness and continuing excellence for the mosque. One of the best practices in managing mosque’ imams as a competitive advantage is Masjid Raya Hubbul Wathan Islamic Center in West Nusa Tenggara. This research examines differentiation strategies in managing imams at Masjid Raya Hubbul Wathan Islamic Center in West Nusa Tenggara and how imams in the mosque can be a source of sustainable excellence and not only temporary. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with a case study approach. The collected data is analyzed descriptively based on the theory of competitive advantage, differentiation, and the VRIO framework. Among the critical findings in this study is the differentiation strategy in the management of imams at Masjid Raya Hubbul Wathan Islamic Center in West Nusa Tenggara carried out by: (1) the existence of a measurable and selective imam recruitment process; (2) the availability of competent priests with extensive and varied numbers; (3) involvement of international priests; and (4) the existence of a system of appreciation, improvement, empowerment of good mosque imams.

Abstract

Masjid tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga sebagai pusat pembinaan sosial dan keagamaan yang inklusif. Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi dakwah moderat di Masjid Baitul Hakam Surabaya dalam mewujudkan harmonisasi sosial di tengah keberagaman jamaah. Pendekatan moderasi ini diwujudkan melalui tiga aspek utama: (1) moderasi dalam penggunaan fasilitas masjid yang terbuka bagi berbagai kelompok masyarakat, (2) keberagaman narasumber dalam kajian keislaman untuk mencerminkan inklusivitas dakwah, serta (3) fleksibilitas dalam praktik ibadah guna mengakomodasi perbedaan mazhab dalam pelaksanaan ritual keagamaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, mengandalkan data dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan dakwah moderat di Masjid Baitul Hakam tidak hanya meningkatkan partisipasi jamaah, tetapi juga memperkuat toleransi dan harmoni sosial. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa dakwah moderat, sebagaimana dikonsepsikan oleh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam membangun kehidupan keagamaan yang inklusif dan damai.

Abstract

Masjid tidak hanya berperan sebagai tempat ibadah, tetapi juga memiliki potensi besar sebagai pusat layanan sosial yang inklusif. Namun, masih banyak masjid yang belum sepenuhnya mengakomodasi keberagaman kebutuhan sosial masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji implementasi tiga dimensi inklusi sosial yakni akses, partisipasi, dan pemberdayaan dalam program Warung Makan Gratis (WMG) di Masjid Pemuda Konsulat Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dimensi akses tercermin dalam keterbukaan informasi dan kemudahan fisik dalam menjangkau program. Dimensi partisipasi terlihat dari keterlibatan aktif penerima manfaat dalam pelaksanaan dan pengembangan program. Sementara itu, dimensi pemberdayaan terwujud dalam transformasi positif yang dialami penerima manfaat dari sisi sosial, ekonomi dan spiritual. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa program WMG merupakan contoh konkret dari praktik inklusi sosial berbasis masjid yang berhasil menjangkau kelompok rentan secara luas. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan literatur inklusi sosial dalam konteks keagamaan serta menawarkan model praktik baik yang dapat direplikasi oleh masjid atau lembaga keagamaan lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of the strategy and management of the Friday Khutbah production process at the Al-Falah Mosque in Surabaya as its object. The method used by researchers in this research is a case study with data collection procedures using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. So that researchers can explore the phenomenon of the object of research in detail and depth. The findings that occur in the field show results that are sharpened by descriptive descriptions of several categories of production. First, the process of determining the idea of the Friday sermon program at Al-Falah Mosque. Second, for the selection mechanism for Friday sermons at Al-Falah Mosque. Third, the design of the Friday sermon program at Al-Falah Mosque. Fourth, testing and evaluating the Friday sermon program at Al-Falah Mosque. Fifth, the final design of the Friday sermon program at Al-Falah Mosque.

Abstract

The existence of female leaders in an organization has an impact on gender equality in society. This impact happened to the Nahdlatul Ulama organization, the largest national Islamic institution with social and political influence. This study aims to describe the dynamics process and the existence of gender equality in the Islamic organization Nahdlatul Ulama. This study uses a qualitative field approach with a feminist perspective in organizational communication. The data were obtained through observations and interviews with the General Chairperson of Nahdlatul Ulama and the Chairperson of Tanzfidiyah. This research shows that Gender Equality in the dynamics of the Nahdlatul Ulama organization can be identified through the various roles performed by one of the female leaders, namely Khofifah Indar Parawansa, the Chair of Tanfidziyah in the 2022-2027 era. Shows that the role of women leaders in Nahdlatul Ulamais currently in a phase or period of free competition. Meanwhile, regarding the existence of Gender Equality in the Nahdlatul Ulama organization, it shows assumptions about the prediction that if the role of women leaders such as Mrs. Khofifah in the political and social fields is getting stronger, it will also have a strong influence on the existence of female cadres in Nahdlatul Ulama in the next period. This study argues that gender equality in Islamic organizations at Nahdlatul Ulama is a role model for other organizations.
