Abstract

The research objectives consist of (1) To increase students reading comprehension understanding in using Know Want and To Learn strategy and (2) To Describe the students reading comprehension ability in using this teaching strategy by the students of 5th grade  SD Inpres Halmahera Barat. Classroom action research has become the kind or type of research that used it. Thus the research consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Also, this research used quantitative and qualitative approaches in determining the data analysis. The data considered by the testing process, observation activities (between students and teachers), and also students post-test. The result of both cycles was as follows: (1) the student’s reading comprehension ability score averages at the first cycle were 70 and in the second cycle became 95. It means that the learning strategy functions better in the process and also students’ capability in reading comprehension learning objectives is reached.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how the teacher's role in motivating the learning of high grade students at Madarasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Ternate in Online Learning. Research on the role of teachers in motivating high-class student learning during the pandemic, was carried out at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Ternate City, carried out in the even semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. This research method is descriptive qualitative, research subjects are teachers and high grade students, namely class IV, V and class VI at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Ternate. To obtain data, researchers used the techniques of observation, Interview, and documentation. Data analysis is done by organizing the data, describing it into units, synthesizing it, compiling it into a pattern, selecting the appropriate data, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that there are various efforts made by teachers in generating learning motivation for high grade students of MIN 1 Ternate City during the implementation of online learning, namely (1) providing added value for students who submit assignments on time; (2) giving prizes for students who complete assignments correctly and on time, and (3) preparing various media and learning methods to foster student enjoyment, and (4) giving praise to students who successfully answer questions during learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan role play dalam meningkatkan kemmapuan berbicara sisiwa kelas IV SD Negeri 3 Guruapin, serta untuk mengetahui sejauhmana penggunaan role play dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 38 Kota Ternate. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas IV dengan melibatkan 37 siswa dan guru kelas sebagai sumber data. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus pembelajaran. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yakni perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap sikluas dilaksanakan dua kali tatap muka. Dari hasil penelitian tindakan kelas tentang penggunaan role play dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 38 Kota Ternate dapat ditemukan bahwa siklus I terdapat 18 siswa atau 48.64% siswa dinyatakan tuntas belajar, sementara 19 siswa atau 51.35% siswa dinyatakan belum tuntas. Kemudian meningkat pada tindakan siklus II yaitu sebanyak 30 siswa atau 81.08% dinyatakan mencapai ketuntasan belajar, dan terdapat 7 siswa atau 18.91% siswa dinyatakan belum tuntas. Adapun peningkatan dari tindakan siklus I ke siklus II adalah sebesar 31.44%. Kata Kunci:  Bahasa Indonesia, Berbicara, Role Play

Abstract

Ada dua pandangan yang mendasari seseorang membahas tentang variasi bahasa. Pertama, variasi  bahasa itu dilihat sebagai akibat adanya keragaman sosial penutur bahasa dan keragaman fungsi bahasa itu sendiri. Kedua, variasi bahasa dari awal telah ada dan untuk memenuhi fungsinya sebagai alat interaksi dalam kegiatan masyarakat yang beraneka ragam. Variasi atau ragam bahasa itu dapat juga diklasifikasi berdasarkan adanya keragaman sosial dan fungsi interaksi di dalam masyarakat. Bahasa Melayu Ternate sebagai salah satu variasi Melayu Lokal yang tumbuh dan berkembang di Indonesia, secara umum dikuasai dan digunakan oleh masyarakat Kota Ternate bahkan masyarakat Maluku Utara secara keseluruhan karena telah menjadi bahasa antar-etnik (lingua-franca). Bahasa Melayu Lokal (Melayu Ternate) telah dan akan menjadi pendorong semakin digunakannya varitas ini oleh kelompok bermobilitas tinggi. Dari lima sekolah yang disurvei ditemukan begitu dominannya variasi Melayu Lokal-Melayu Ternate dalam proses komunikasi pelajar di lingkungan sekolah. Kebiasaan inilah yang menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab kemahiran berbahasa Indonesia oleh pelajar masih jauh dari yang diharapkan. Dengan kata lain bahasa Melayu Ternate sebagai jembatan lintas-etnik di Maluku Utara, kini terus merambah bahkan telah menjadi bahasa-wajib bagi pelajar Kota Ternate ketika berada dalam situasi formal. Hal ini memberi signal keradaan bahasa Indonesia terus ”digugat” sebagai bahasa Nasional oleh variasi Melayu Lokal. Hal ini juga memberi signal bahwa keradaan bahasa Indonesia harus terus digalakkan penggunannya sesuai konteks dan fungsinya. Key words: Varian, Melayu Lokal

Abstract

The objective of this research were to incerased students in reading comprehension at the 4th grade concluded that (1) highly speed reading without ignoring the students understanding, to gained the fact information, special fact and conclusion (2) the percentage of reading comprehension technique scanning in each cycles level of learning activity  became high. The result of each cycle by the implementation scanning technique  to improve speed reading showed at the first cycle was  4 (47,94%) students were achieved the KKM of 17 students, while the second cycle the students learning activities achieved  14 (76,95 %) of completeness of the students result. Based on the result of the implementation scanning technic using  in speed reading concluded that this technic could be used as a  strategy and technique in achieved the  students reading competence and students developing skills in learning a language skill at SD Negeri 35 Kota Ternate and could be threaten in another elementary  school level.

Abstract

These study aims are (1) to determine student learning activities by applying group work methods in class IV SD Negeri 50 Ternate City (2) to find out what student learning activities are through the application of group work methods to class IV SD Negeri 50 Ternate City. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this research are, observation, interview, and documentation. This study indicates students' activeness in learning PPKN by applying the group work method in class IV SD Negeri 50 Ternate City. That is, some factors that cause students to be active in PPKN learning are before learning, the teacher should give directions first regarding the material to be discussed later, and if the material is related to the rights and obligations of the teacher, always provide examples that fit / easy so that students quickly understand the material. The factors from the family environment are (students/parents) who have limited cellphones if students get assignments related to the national anthem, students must ride or borrow friends' cellphones, students who do not have internet/data packages, some parents who are busy working (traders) so that they cannot help students in completing their homework (PR). The other factors that cause student activity in PPKN lessons are (that some students already understand Indonesian history, some already understand and have memorized the points of Pancasila, memorize national songs, already understand the rights and obligations).
