Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of educational video media on students’ learning achievement in the IPAS subject at SDN 007 Balikpapan Barat. The research employed a quantitative pre-experimental design using a one-shot case study with 13 fourth-grade students as participants. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 10 items and analyzed through validity testing, reliability testing, assumption testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the t-test showed that the use of educational video media did not have a significant effect on students’ learning achievement (t = 1.550 < ttable = 2.201, p = 0.149). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.179) indicated that educational video media contributed only 17.9% to the variance in student achievement. These findings suggest that educational videos, when used independently, are not sufficient to improve learning outcomes in IPAS. Greater instructional support and more varied teaching strategies may be required to optimize their effectiveness.

Abstract

Fitness is a crucial component of the human body, especially for children. During this period, children experience rapid growth and development, both physically, mentally, and socially. Physical fitness is influenced by physical activity and sports training that a person does, so the better the level of physical fitness. Physical activities carried out routinely will have a positive impact on physical fitness. One effective way to improve physical fitness is swimming. Swimming is a situation where the swimmer must float on the water. This study aims to determine the effect of swimming training on children's physical fitness in Tampang Village. This study uses a quantitative approach with a data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire. The sample in this study was 15 children. The research instrument has been tested for validity and reliability and meets the requirements of normal distribution. This study produces a conclusion, namely that there is a significant influence between swimming training and children's physical fitness. This is evidenced by a simple linear regression analysis showing that swimming training has a significant effect on children's physical fitness. The significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and t count of 5.356> t table 2.160, and the coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.688 indicates that swimming training has an effect of 68.8% on children's physical fitness.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan alat peraga terhadap pemahaman siswa mengenai sifat-sifat cahaya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode regresi linear sederhana. Subjek penelitian adalah 25 siswa kelas V-B SDN 004 Balikpapan Barat yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket skala Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai R Square sebesar 0,032 dengan signifikansi 0,389 (> 0,05), yang berarti tidak terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara penggunaan alat peraga terhadap pemahaman siswa. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain, seperti minat belajar dan metode mengajar..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran terhadap minat baca siswa kelas tiga di SD Nasional KPS Balikpapan. Minat baca siswa yang rendah dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang inovatif dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain survei untuk mengumpulkan data tentang penggunaan media pembelajaran dan minat baca siswa. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas tiga di SD Nasional KPS Balikpapan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik sampling. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan strategi pembelajaran membaca yang lebih efektif dan meningkatkan minat baca siswa. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat membantu guru dan pengembang kurikulum dalam merancang program pembelajaran membaca yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SD Nasional KPS Balikpapan.

Abstract

Tanaman bawang putih (Allium sativum L.) banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat Indonesia sebagai rempah, bahan industri dan obat-obatan, sehingga membuat permintaan terus meningkat. Namun belum diimbangi dengan produksi bawang putih di Indonesia. Peningkatan teknologi budidaya yang dapat diterapkan adalah penggunaan mulsa dan jarak tanam. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh interaksi antara mulsa dan jarak tanam terhadap kondisi lingkungan mikro, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang putih. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Juni sampai September 2023 berlokasi di Tawangargo, Karangploso, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial dengan 6 kombinasi perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 4 kali, dengan faktor pertama mulsa dan kedua jarak tanam. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA, apabila terdapat interaksi nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan Uji BNJ pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan mulsa jerami dan MPHP meningkatkan stabilitas suhu dan kelembaban tanah baik minimum maupun maksimum. Perlakuan mulsa dan jarak tanam memberi interaksi nyata terhadap bobot segar dan bobot kering umbi, susut bobot umbi dan hasil umbi per hektar. Penggunaan mulsa jerami dan MPHP meningkatkan panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang dan luas daun, serta menghasilkan bobot segar dan kering tanaman, jumlah siung, dan diameter umbi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan perlakuan tanpa mulsa. Jarak tanam 12,5 x 12,0 cm dan 15,0 x 10,0 cm menghasilkan kondisi lingkungan mikro, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang putih yang sama. Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is widely utilized in Indonesia as a spice, industrial ingredient, and medicinal material, resulting in increasing demand. However, this growing demand has not been matched by garlic production in Indonesia. One approach to enhancing cultivation technology involves the application of mulch and plant spacing. This study aimed to examine the interaction effects of mulch and plant spacing on the microenvironment, growth, and yield of garlic. The research was conducted from June to September 2023 in Tawangargo, Karangploso, Malang Regency, East Java. A factorial randomized block design (RBD) with six treatment combinations and four replications was employed, with mulch as the first factor and plant spacing as the second factor. Data were analyzed using ANOVA, followed by the Honest Significant Difference (HSD) at a 5% significance level for significant interactions. The results showed that the application of straw mulch and silver black plastic mulch improved soil temperature and moisture stability for both minimum and maximum conditions. The interaction of mulch and plant spacing significantly influenced fresh and dry bulb weights, bulb shrinkage weight, and bulb yield per hectare. Straw mulch and silver black plastic mulch enhanced plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, and leaf area, resulting in higher fresh and dry plant weights, number of cloves, and bulb diameters compared to treatments without mulch. Plant spacing of 12.5 × 12.0 cm and 15.0 × 10.0 cm showed no significant differences in microenvironmental conditions, plant growth, and yield of garlic.
