Abstract

learning media experts on plant-based herbariums in the Brokohan Baby traditional ceremony in Jombang Regency. The method used is development research with the R&D model as a reference. Researchers only use the first five steps in the R&D model, namely potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. Interview guides were used to collect data on the types of plants used in the traditional ceremony of Brokohan Baby in Jombang Regency. The expert validation sheet was used to determine the feasibility of the herbarium developed based on the assessment of herbarium experts and learning media experts. The assessment aspects in the validation sheet are adjusted to the expertise of each expert. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results showed that the herbarium developed obtained a value of 80.00 from herbarium experts so that it met the criteria of being quite feasible. The assessment of learning media experts shows the number 95.00 with very decent criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the feasibility of the structural and developmental modules of ethno-STEM based plant reproductive organs according to expert validation. The research method used was Borg & Gall development research which consisted of the first five stages, namely Research and information collection, Planning, Developing preliminary form of product, Preliminary field testing, and Revising main product. The data collection instrument was carried out by interviews, student needs questionnaires, material expert validation questionnaires, and media expert validation questionnaires which were then analyzed using a likert scale. The research data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed that the Ethno-STEM Based Plant Reproductive Organs Structure and Development Module obtained a score of 85 from the material validator in the moderately valid category and 84 from the media validator in the moderately valid category. Based on the validation results of material experts and media experts, the Ethno-STEM Based Plant Reproductive Organs Structure and Development Module can be said to be quite valid with small revisions, so that it can be used as a learning medium to help students master learning objectives after revisions are carried out.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran kitab kuning di MTs Darul Ulum Kepuhdoko Tembelang Jombang, faktor pendukung maupun penghambatnya, dan dampak pelaksanaan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran kitab kuning di MTs Darul Ulum Kepuhdoko Tembelang Jombang dilaksanakan sesuai kurikulum pesantren sebanyak satu kali tatap muka selama 35 menit setiap minggunya. Faktor pendukung pembelajaran adalah adanya koordinasi yang baik antara pihak yayasan dengan madrasah, guru yang kompeten, jenis kitab yang sesuai dengan perkembangan siswa, dan dukungan wali murid. Faktor penghambat yang dijumpai adalah banyak siswa tidak berasal dari pondok pesantren sehingga memerlukan penyesuaian diri dalam mempelajari kitab kuning, serta metode pengajaran yang digunakan guru cenderung konvensional. Dampak pembelajaran kitab kuning yang diketahui adalah terbentuknya siswa yang berakhlak mulia dalam hal pembelajaran, beragama, dan berkehidupan sosial.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the religious character that students have after participating in congregational prayer activities at school. This research was conducted at SMP Darul Ulum Kepuhdoko involving 30 randomly selected students in grades VII, VIII, and IX. The method used is a qualitative survey using a closed questionnaire instrument with four options: always, often, rarely, and never. The collected data was analyzed descriptively. The research results showed that students’ religious character was in the high category (83%). The majority of male and female students have high religious character, only a small number have moderate religious character, and none have low religious character. This shows that congregational prayer activities have a positive influence on improving the religious character of students at SMP Darul Ulum Kepuhdoko.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil validasi ahli herbarium dan ahli media pembelajaran terhadap koleksi herbarium tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam upacara adat Tedhak Siti di Kabupaten Jombang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model R&D sebagai acuan. Model R&D terdiri dari 10 langkah, namun hanya lima langkah pertama yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini. Kelima langkah tersebut adalah: potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, dan revisi desain. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa panduan wawancara dan lembar validasi ahli. Panduan wawancara digunakan untuk memperoleh data mengenai jenis-jenis tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam upacara adat Tedhak Siti di Kabupaten Jombang dari empat orang narasumber, yang dipilih dengan pertimbangan tertentu (purposive sampling). Lembar validasi ahli yang digunakan terdiri dari dua jenis, yaitu lembar validasi ahli herbarium dan lembar validasi ahli media pembelajaran. Hasil validasi ahli digunakan untuk menentukan kelayakan koleksi herbarium yang dikembangkan berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa herbarium dinyatakan “cukup layak” oleh ahli herbarium dengan presentase 80%, dan hasil validasi ahli media pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa media herbarium dinyatakan “sangat layak” dengan presentase 95%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa koleksi herbarium yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran, setelah dilakukan sedikit revisi berdasarkan saran dari kedua validator ahli.

Abstract

The IPAS Project for phase E students at vocational high school is a project-based subject that integrates natural and social sciences to explain phenomena in life scientifically. IPAS Project learning should use project-based learning methods. Project-based learning needs to be supported by learning media such as textbook. This research was conducted to describe the suitability of the IPAS Project textbook based on the expert validation. The research method used is development research which refers to the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate). In this research, the stages carried out were analyze, design, and develop. Researchers used validation sheets which prepared based on the expertise of each validator. The data that has been collected is scores and suggestions from the three validators. The score data from each validator was calculated as an average percentage and then interpreted into four categories: very worthy/very good, decent/good, less worthy/sufficient, or not worthy/inadequate. The results show that the IPAS Project textbook developed meets the very worthy/very good category with the percentage of material expert, learning media expert, and teacher respectively being 79,2%; 80,0%; and 95,3%. These results indicate that the textbook developed can be used by stage E students.

Abstract

Biodiversity material is one of the materials that requires many examples of real objects related to nature. Based on the results of interviews with biology subject teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Mambaul Ulum Megaluh, it is known that students are very enthusiastic when the teacher displays video media as an introduction to learning. However, instructional videos containing material on biodiversity (especially flora) are still not available. Therefore, researchers develop exploration video learning media. The objectives of this study were to: (1) describe the feasibility of exploratory videos of Mount Pundak flora diversity based on the validation of material experts and instructional media experts, (2) describe the attractiveness of the exploration video of Mount Pundak flora diversity based on the responses of students. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model, consisting of 5 stages: Analysis-Design-Develop-Implement-Evaluate. Feasibility is measured using the validity test by material expert validators and media expert validators. In addition, related to the attractiveness of exploration videos, a response test was carried out on 10 students at Madrasah Aliyah Mambaul Ulum Megaluh who had studied biodiversity material by filling out a questionnaire via google form. The results showed that the media for exploring the diversity of flora on Mount Pundak based on the evaluation of the material expert validator obtained a value of 81.67% which means very feasible, the learning media expert validator obtained a score of 88% which means very feasible, and the response of students obtained a value of 89.8. % which means very interesting. This exploration video media needs to be improved based on criticism and suggestions from material expert validators and media experts. The video media for exploring the diversity of the flora of Mount Pundak can be used for classroom learning provided that further development research is carried out and more extensive testing, so that it is obtained that the exploration video media has been tested for validity and is ready to use

Abstract

Printed teaching materials are still relevant to be used as learning resources for students. Through this research we analyze the effect of printed modules on students’ cognitive learning outcomes in plant physiology courses. We used the one-shot case study method involving 12 students taking plant physiology courses in the 2024/2025 academic year. The cognitive learning outcomes used as data are mid-semester and final semester exam scores. Data analysis was carried out by sign test. The significance level used is 5%, H0 is rejected if the calculated value is smaller than the table value. H0 in this research is that there is no effect of using printed modules on student cognitive learning outcomes. The sign test results show that the calculated h value is greater than the table h value, so H0 is accepted. The use of printed modules did not affect students’ cognitive learning outcomes in this study.

Abstract

Sustainable waste management behavior is an effort to overcome the problem of waste in the environment. Student-teacher candidates, especially prospective biology teachers, need to have positive attitudes about sustainable waste management because they will be role models for their students in the future. This study aims to describe the behavior of sustainable waste management in biology teacher candidates. The method used in this research is a survey. The respondents involved were 46 biology education students who had taken Basic Ecology courses. Data was collected through survey questionnaires with a Likert scale and analyzed descriptively. The results showed the behavior of sustainable waste management in prospective biology teacher students at KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah University is included in the good category. This is supported by the results of a self-assessment regarding the threats posed by waste and efforts to overcome them, which are also included in the good category. Sustainable waste management behavior and self-assessment influence each other.

Abstract

The modern era today is characterized by a revolutionary technological transformation, which fundamentally changes the paradigm of human life, including in the context of education and the teaching process. The integration of technology in the context of education can be done through the use of technological resources as innovative learning media, one of which is audio-visual media. The purpose of this study is to describe the feasibility of audio-visual media developed based on the assessment of material experts and learning media experts. The type of research used in this study is Research and Development. The method used is development research which refers to the ADDIE model. The analysis stage is carried out in the form of analyzing the needs for the development of audio-visual media. The design stage is in the form of designing a developed media storyboard. The development stage is in the form of media development followed by validation activities of material experts and learning media experts. The results of the study show that the feasibility of the developed audio-visual media is assessed through expert assessment, which includes material experts and media experts. The feasibility results of the plant tissue material obtained the results of a feasibility test by material experts of 85.71% with the criterion of "Very Valid", the feasibility test by media experts was 89.47% with the criterion of "Very Valid"
