Abstract

The Asam-Asam  River is one of the waters located in Tanah Laut Regency and is in an oil palm plantation area which is very close to the Palm Oil Mill (PKS). The Asam-Asam  River has an important role for the surrounding community who use these waters as a source of water for the community around fishing activities, domestic activities such as washing clothes and supplying water for oil palm plantations. Water from PKS activities is thought to have changed the condition of the waters of the Asam-Asam  river, therefore identification of plankton diversity in the Asam-Asam  River was carried out and data collection of water quality parameters (pH, temperature, DO, BOD, COD, Nitrate and Phosphate) as supporting data for the identification results plankton. This research was conducted in August 2021. Observation points and water sampling were carried out at 2 stations in the Asam-Asam  River. The supporting parameters observed were pH, temperature, DO, BOD, COD, nitrate and phosphate. Station II had the highest abundance of phytoplankton because the presence of the genera Oscillatoria, Tablelaria and Spirogyra was much higher than Station I. In the results of the two observation stations, the class Bacillariophyceae was the most common.

Abstract

The Banjarbaru City area has three tofu producers who are currently operating in Banjarbaru Selatan District, Banjarbaru City. The three tofu producers do not yet have a Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) so that the liquid waste produced is disposed of directly into the Kemuning river which is not far from the location. The research objective was to analyze the production process and tofu waste generated in the tofu management process and to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of tofu processed waste management in the Kemuning River Border, Banjarbaru City. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method. The results of the study show that the results of data processing, knowledge (X1) of Mba Ana's tofu craftsmen has a greater influence of knowledge, namely as much as 88.7%, Baihaqi tofu craftsmen as much as 88.3%, Dinanti tofu craftsmen as much as 88.6%. The effect of the attitude (X2) of the Dinanti tofu craftsmen is as much as 91%, Mba Ana's tofu craftsmen is 79%, Baihaqi tofu craftsmen is 83.7%. The effect of action (X3) is that the Baihaqi tofu craftsmen are larger by 78.8%, Mba Ana's tofu craftsmen are 72.9%, Mba Ana's tofu craftsmen are 71.2%. The effect of education (X4) on Mba Ana's tofu craftsmen was greater by 79.8%, Baihaqi tofu craftsmen 79.8%, Dinanti tofu craftsmen 73%. The factors that affect waste management for the three tofu producers are categorized as sufficient because the value is more than 50%, in the implementation of tofu processing, Dinanti tofu craftsmen dispose of liquid waste in a simple shelter, while Mba Ana and Baihaqi tofu craftsmen still throw waste into the river.

Abstract

There are several processes involved in the treatment of clean water, namely filtering, sedimentation, coagulation, flocculation, filtration, and disinfection. These processes are utilized by PAM Bandarmasih at the Water Treatment Plant II (IPA II) situated on Jalan Pramuka. The objective of the research is to analyze the quality of water distributed to the North Zone of Banjarmasin by PAM Bandarmasih. The research location was intentionally chosen (purposive sampling) within the Bandarmasih PAM area, encompassing the raw water sources from the Tabuk River, IPA 1, and IPA 2 in the North Banjarmasin zone. The Tabuk River watershed serves as a tributary of the Martapura River, which is utilized as a water source to fulfill the daily needs of the people. The data analysis technique employed to address the research objectives involves analyzing the quality of distributed clean water using the storet method. Evaluation of the water quality distributed to customers in the North Banjarmasin PAM Bandarmasih zone leads to the conclusion that both the quality of raw water and treated water as a whole meet the quality standards outlined in accordance with PERMENKES Regulation Number 2 of 2023. The assessment of clean water quality distributed is based on the water quality storet method, indicating that the clean water distributed by PAM Banjarmasih originates from the lightly polluted AD Mufti River, with a total score of (-9).

Abstract

This study investigated iron (Fe) accumulation in South Kalimantan's coastal swamp wetlands ecosystem, utilizing giant mudskipper fish as indicators of heavy metal pollution. By analyzing Fe levels in water, sediment, and fish organs over time, insights into its effects on the environment and human health were gained. Furthermore, through Atomic Absorption Spectrometry, Fe concentrations in Kuala Lupak's coastal wetland were measured, revealing significant correlations between Fe levels in water, sediment, and fish tissues. These results enhance our understanding and inform better management strategies. Anthropogenic and natural sources contribute to the accumulation of heavy metals, particularly Fe, with anthropogenic pollution being the most dominant. This study presented the escalating concentrations of Fe within the Kuala Lupak estuary and raised concerns regarding the ecological and human health implications. Continuous monitoring, source identification, public awareness, regulations, remediation, and long-term exploration are essential for addressing heavy metal pollution and its ecological impact. Therefore, valuable insights are provided for environmental management and conservation efforts.

Abstract

Ikan Bakut (Oxyeleotris marmorata, Blkr) merupakan ikan ekonomis yang memiliki potensi besar untuk di ekspor ke beberapa negara lain. Budidaya ikan Bakut (Oxyeleotris marmorata, Blkr) perlu dilakukan agar populasinya tidak berkurang dan kelestariannya tetap terjaga. Analisis data dilakukan melalui Metode Frekuensi Kejadian, Metode Volumetrik, Indeks Preponderance, Uji Sifat Fisika dan Kimia Perairan, Indeks Pencemaran. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa hasil pembedahan lambung Ikan Bakut menunjukkan adanya beberapa jenis organisme yang terdapat dalam lambung ikan bakut beberapa jenis organisme yang terdapat dalam lambung ikan bakut seperti potongan udang sebesar (70,271%), ikan sebesar (15,663%), udang rebon (Acetes indicus) sebesar (12,694%), serangga air (0,922%), Fitoplankton (0,447%), dan zooplankton (0,001%). Hasil dari pengukuran variabel kualitas air pada ketiga stasiun pengambilan ikan bakut menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai suhu adalah 29,6oC, pH 7,15, DO 5,83 mg/l dan kecerahan 200 cm. Bakut fish (Oxyeleotris marmorata, Blkr) is an economical fish that has great potential for export to several other countries. Bakut fish (Oxyeleotris marmorata, Blkr) cultivation needs to be carried out so that the population does not decrease and its sustainability is maintained. Data analysis was carried out through the Frequency of Occurrence Method, Volumetric Method, Preponderance Index, Test of Physical and Chemical Properties of Waters, Pollution Index. The results of the study concluded that the results of surgery on the stomach of the Bakut Fish showed that there were several types of organisms found in the stomach of the Bakut Fish. Several types of organisms were found in the stomach of the Bakut Fish, such as pieces of shrimp (70.271%), fish (15.663%), rebon shrimp (Acetes indicus ) of (12.694%), aquatic insects (0.922%), phytoplankton (0.447%), and zooplankton (0.001%). The results of measuring the water quality variable at the three baitfish collection stations showed that the average temperature values ​​were 29.6oC, pH 7.15, DO 5.83 mg/l and brightness 200 cm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kawasan Pulau Curiak, Kota Banjarmasin, Kalimantan Selatan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui standar mutu air berdasarkan indeks kualitas air, serta mengetahui kualitas air sungai barito berdasarkan kondisi eksitingnya. Metode yang dipakai metode Indeks Kualitas Air dan menggunakan proram Qual2Kw. Standar mutu air Sungai Barito berada dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai Indeks Pencemaran (IP) antara 1,115 hingga 3,935. Setelah ditransformasikan menjadi Indeks Kualitas Air (IKA), evaluasi menunjukkan nilai antara 50 hingga kurang dari 70. Kualitas air Sungai Barito dalam kondisi eksisting memenuhi standar mutu kelas II untuk suhu, TSS, dan Nitrat (NO3). Namun, hanya beberapa segmen yang memenuhi standar mutu kelas II untuk pH, DO, BOD, Fosfat (PO4), dan Amoniak (NH3).

Abstract

Ketersediaan ikan patin hasil sentra budidaya minapolitan Kabupaten Banjar cukup besar. Namun ikan masih dominan dipasarkan dalam kondisi segar dengan persaingan yang tinggi maka harga ikan patin cenderung berfluktuasi.  Karenanya perlu upaya pengolahan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah. PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pengolahan, pengemasan, dan labelisasi; promosi produk melalui media daring, serta penilaian kelayakan finansial usaha. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan terdiri dari (1) Sosialisasi dan diskusi, (2) Demonstrasi, (3) Pelatihan dan pendampingan, dan (4) Evaluasi.  Pelatihan dan pendampingan pengolahan, pengemasan dan labelisasi produk olahan ikan patin kepada kelompok mitra telah memberikan pengaruh pada peningkatan pemahaman anggota kelompok, meskipun peningkatan baru terjadi pada beberapa anggota kelompok.  Proses adopsi dan difusi di antara anggota kelompok mitra terhadap pengelolaan usaha kelompok dengan manajemen yang baik, serta pemasaran produk menggunakan media daring menimbulkan perubahan sikap bisnis kelompok ke arah yang lebih baik. Promosi produk melalui media daring diharapkan akan berdampak terhadap perluasan jangkauan pemasaran produk dan keuntungan usaha olahan ikan patin.

Abstract

Kelompok usaha wanita pengrajin purun “Galoeh Bandjar” Kelurahan Palam, Kecamatan Cempaka, Kota Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan dibentuk oleh Pemerintah Kota Banjarbaru Kalimantan Selatan sebagai wadah kelompok usaha yang bergerak dibidang kerajinan anyaman purun dan pengembangan destinasi wisata Kampung Purun. Tujuan kegiatan adalah memberikan informasi penjualan elektronik (e-commerce) berbasis online dan melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pembukaan toko jualan produk kerajinan purun secara online. Metode yang diterapkan melalui pertemuan, penyampaian materi, diskusi, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan dapat memberikan perubahan sikap dan pengetahuan kelompok mitra dari kurang mengetahui menjadi cukup banyak mengetahui tentang promosi produksi kerajinan purun secara online atau e-commerce. Informasi yang diberikan secara teori dan melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan terhadap promosi produksi kerajinan purun secara online atau e-commerce memberikan pengaruh peningkatan pemahaman kepada kelompok mitra, walaupun peningkatan baru terjadi beberapa angota kelompok mitra. Informasi yang diberikan berupa pelatihan dan pendamping memberikan dampak peningkatan yang positif, terjadinya adopsi dan promosi produk oleh anggota kelompok mitra ke anggota masyarakat lainnya mengalami perubahan ke arah positif yaitu dari kriteria cukup menjadi kriteria baik.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia has the third largest biodiversity of primate fauna in the world with 61 species, and there are 38 endemic primate species from these 61 species. One of the endangered endemic primates is Proboscis Monkey which is the mascot of the fauna of South Kalimantan. Proboscis proboscis conservation efforts are the responsibility of all parties, including the community. Community concern and participation are indicators of the success of proboscis monkey conservation. Aim: This study aims to analyze  the condition of the socio-cultural aspects of the local community around the proboscis monkey habitat in the Curiak Island area  through knowledge, perception and community participation. Method: Descriptive method with purposive sampling was used. Meanwhile, the research instruments were in the form of questionnaires distributed to the public and direct interviews. Findings: The results of this study show that  public knowledge of the existence of proboscis monkeys and their habitat on average exceeds 50%; people's perception of the existence of proboscis monkeys and their habitat on average exceeds 50%; and community participation in efforts to protect proboscis monkeys and their habitats by more than 80%.
