Abstract

The tidal dynamics of water affect not only the layers on the surface of the seas but also the entire water mass. The Tabanio River is a tidal-influenced water area with the highest utilisation level in Tanah Laut. Water quality at the estuaries of Tabanio and Panjaratan River is affected by various human activities, such as fishing, plantations, transportation, and waste disposal. This study aims to compare water quality at high and low tides and test the relationship between tidal changes and fluctuations in water quality parameters in both locations. The data used are the results of measurements on July 3 and July 22, 2024, during high and low tide conditions. The relationship between water quality values and tides was analyzed descriptively, then compared with water quality standards according to Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2021 class 1 and continued with the ANOVA test. Low tide conditions bring to increase in the parameters of conductivity, current, temperature, pH, salinity, and TDS at all locations, while turbidity is only in the estuary. Tidal conditions influence oxygen deficits in all sites, while nitrite and nitrate tend to increase. TSS parameters exceed quality standards in Panjaratan, while Cu and COD exceed quality standards in Tabanio.

Abstract

The issue "Jaya Makmur" is low quality and quantity of fish production, primarily due to reliance on suboptimal instant feed and insufficient fish utilization to combat stunting in Sungai Lulut. This activity aims to enhance fish production quality and quantity, processing herbal feed from moringa leaves, and educating the community to help reduce stunting. The method of this activity includes socialization, training in producing herbal feed and eco-friendly mixing tools, application of technology, assistance, evaluation, utilization of unused land, and continuous monitoring to enhance production and establish distribution partnerships, all while educating about stunting.The success of this program is reflected in the improvement of partner skills in making natural feed, feed management, and the production of fish-based nuggets and meatballs for complementary feeding (MPASI). The challenge currently faced is that many fish farmers still rely on instant feed, so further efforts are needed to encourage the transition to herbal feed.

Abstract

Rawa adalah kawasan sepanjang pantai, aliran sungai, danau atau lebak yang menjorok masuk (intake) ke pedalaman hingga 100 km, atau sejauh dirasakannya pengaruh gerakan pasang air laut. Di Indonesia telah disepakati istilah rawa dalam dua pengertian, yakni rawa pasang surut dan rawa lebak. Rawa pasang surut adalah daerah rawa yang mendapat pengaruh langsung atau tidak langsung ayunan pasang surut air laut atau sungai di sekitarnya. Kualitas periran rawa tidak lepas kaitanya dengan organisme perairan yang hidup didalamnya. Plankton adalah organisme perairan yang keberadaannya dapat menjadi faktor biologis yang menetukan kualitas perairan. Struktur komunitas plankton disuatu perairan dapat menjadi penetu tingkat kualitas air, peran plankton sebagai produsen primer dirantai makanan menjadikan plankton sangat berperan penting dalam perairan rawa. Sekain struktur komunitas, indeks saprobik dan indikator kualitas air pH, Suhu, Nitrat dan Fosfat juga dapat menetukan kualitas air Swamps are areas along the coast, rivers, lakes or valleys that protrude (intake) inland up to 100 km, or as far as the influence of the movement of sea tides is felt. In Indonesia, it has been agreed that the term swamp has two meanings, namely tidal swamp and low swamp. Tidal swamps are swamp areas that are directly or indirectly affected by tidal swings in the sea or rivers around them. The quality of swamp waters is closely related to the aquatic organisms that live in it. Plankton are aquatic organisms whose existence can be a biological factor that determines water quality. The structure of the plankton community in a waters can determine the level of water quality, the role of plankton as a primary producer in the food chain makes plankton play an important role in swamp waters. In addition to community structure, saprobic index and water quality indicators pH, temperature, nitrate and phosphate can also determine water quality.

Abstract

WATER QUALITY CONDITION IN TILAPIA FISH PONDS AT KAMPUNG IWAK, MENTAOS VILLAGE Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Iwak, yang terletak di Kota Banjarbaru, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Daerah ini merupakan area permukiman dengan bisnis budidaya ikan nila di setiap rumah. Kualitas air sungai sebagai sumber air untuk kolam pemeliharaan ikan nila perlu dievaluasi berdasarkan parameter dan metode tertentu sesuai dengan regulasi yang berlaku. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab kematian ikan nila di kolam pemeliharaan serta membandingkan kualitas air dengan standar SNI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu air pada kedua kolam berkisar antara 27-30°C, yang memenuhi kriteria SNI untuk pembesaran ikan nila. Namun, pH tidak memenuhi standar SNI karena kurang dari 6,5-8,5 yang dapat menyebabkan kematian secara perlahan-lahan. DO juga tidak memenuhi standar SNI pada beberapa waktu pengukuran dan fluktuatif setiap enam jam dalam sehari.Tingkat kecerahan mencapai standar SNI untuk kedua kolam tersebut. Evaluasi kondisi lingkungan sangat penting dalam menjaga tingkat pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan nila dalam pembudidayaannya.Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa manajemen lingkungan harus ditingkatkan sehingga dapat menjaga stabilitas level pH dan oksigen terlarut (DO) dalam batas normal sehingga angka mortalitas dapat menurun atau bahkan mencapai nol persen sehingga akan membawa keuntungan finansial yang lebih besar dari bisnis budidaya ikan nila di sekitar daerah tersebut. The research was conducted in Kampung Iwak, located in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province. This area is a residential area with fish farming businesses in every house that breed tilapia. The quality of the river water as a source of water for the tilapia fishpond needs to be evaluated based on certain parameters and methods according to applicable regulations. The study aims to identify the causes of death of tilapia in breeding ponds and compare water quality with SNI standards. The results showed that the water temperature in both ponds ranged from 27-30°C, which meets SNI criteria for tilapia breeding. However, pH did not meet SNI standards as it was below 6.5-8.5 which can cause gradual death. DO also did not meet SNI standards at some measurement times and fluctuated every six hours per day. Brightness levels met SNI standards for both ponds. Evaluation of environmental conditions is very important in maintaining growth and survival rates of tilapia under cultivation. From this study it is concluded that environmental management must be improved so as to maintain stability of pH level and dissolved oxygen (DO) within normal limits so that mortality rates can decrease or even reach zero percent, resulting in increased production from tilapia aquaculture businesses around the area which will bring greater benefits financially.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sungai Landas, Kecamatan Karang Intan, Kabupaten Banjar, Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, pada periode bulan Juli hingga Desember 2023. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keadaan mutu air di perairan Desa Sungai Landas yang digunakan untuk kegiatan budidaya keramba jaring apung (KJA). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Storet, diimplementasikan pada dua stasiun pengamatan untuk mengumpulkan data kualitas air. Standar mutu air disesuaikan dengan tujuan penggunaannya untuk menentukan status mutu air. Empat parameter kualitas air yang diukur melibatkan suhu, pH, tingkat oksigen terlarut (DO), dan kandungan amoniak. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian dengan 2 stasiun yang diamati menunjukkan bawa perairan di Desa Sungai Landas tercemar ringan. Pengukuran parameter pada stasiun 1 minggu pertama yaitu suhu 31,70oC, pH 6,43, DO 5,30, amoniak 0,49, pada minggu kedua yaitu suhu 28,9oC, pH 6,83, DO 7,00, amoniak 0,17. Pengukuran parameter pada stasiun 2 minggu pertama yaitu suhu 29,4oC, pH 6,64, DO 3,2, amoniak 0,29, sedangkan minggu kedua didapatkan hasil suhu 30,1oC, pH 6,82, DO 4,2, amoniak 0,22. This research was conducted in Sungai Landas Village, Karang Intan District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province from July to December 2023 with the aim to be achieved, namely analyzing the water quality status of the waters of Sungai Landas village which is used for floating net cage (KJA) cultivation activities. In order to ascertain the current state of water quality, this study used the Storet technique at two different observation sites to collect data using water quality criteria that had been altered for their intended purpose. Water quality is evaluated by measuring four parameters: temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and ammonia. The results obtained in research with 2 stations observed showed that the waters in Sungai Landas Village were lightly polluted. The parameters measured at station 1 in the first week were temperature 31.70oC, pH 6.43, DO 5.30, ammonia 0.49, in the second week the temperature was 28.9oC, pH 6.83, DO 7.00, ammonia 0, 17. Parameter measurements at the station for the first 2 weeks were temperature 29.4oC, pH 6.64, DO 3.2, ammonia 0.29, while in the second week the results obtained were temperature 30.1oC, pH 6.82, DO 4.2, ammonia 0 .22.

Abstract

Dalam kawasan Sub DAS Riam Kanan, terdapat banyak sekali keramba jaring apung (KJA) yang tersebar di wilayah tersebut. Hal ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran akan potensi dampak negatifnya terhadap kualitas perairan, sehingga perlu dilakukan pengawasan dan upaya pengendalian untuk menghindari pencemaran yang mungkin timbul dari aktivitas KJA tersebut. Lokasi penelitian dipilih melalui survey lapangan dan studi literatur, dengan titik pengambilan sampel secara acak. Purposive sampling digunakan dalam beberapa kasus. Parameter yang diambil meliputi suhu, kecerahan, DO, pH, dan amonia. Standar baku mutu yang digunakan mengacu pada Peraturan Pemerintah No. 22 Tahun 2021 kelas II lampiran IV, dengan metode pengukuran menggunakan metode Storet.Kelayakan kualitas air berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah No.22 Tahun 2021 untuk Kelas II yaitu kegiatan perikanan untuk Sub DAS Riam Kanan Kabupaten Banjar Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan tidak memenuhi standar yang ditentukan karena masih terdapat parameter yang nilainya dibawah baku mutu. Parameter yang nilainya tidak sesuai baku mutu yaitu Oksigen Terlarut (DO), dan Amonia (NH3.Status mutu air yang dihitung menggunakan Metode STORET, Sub DAS Riam Kanan berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No.115 tahun 2003. Pada Stasiun 1 masuk kelas B dengan status Memenuhi baku mutu, sedangkan pada Stasiun 2 masuk kelas A dengan status Cemar ringan, dan Stasiun 3 masuk dalam kelas C dengan status Cemar sedang. In the Riam Kanan Sub-watershed area, there are many floating net cages (KJA) scattered in the area. This raises concerns about the potential negative impact on water quality, so it is necessary to monitor and control efforts to avoid pollution that may arise from KJA activities. Research sites were selected through field surveys and literature studies, with random sampling points. Purposive sampling was used in some cases. Parameters taken include temperature, brightness, DO, pH, and ammonia. The quality standard used refers to Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 class II appendix IV, with the measurement method using the Storet method. The feasibility of water quality based on Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 for Class II, namely fisheries activities for the Riam Kanan Sub Watershed in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province does not meet the specified standards because there are still parameters whose values are below the quality standards. The parameters whose values do not meet the quality standards are Dissolved Oxygen (DO), and Ammonia (NH3. Water quality status calculated using the STORET Method, Riam Kanan Sub Watershed based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment No.115 of 2003. Station 1 is in class B with the status of meeting quality standards, while Station 2 is in class A with mild pollution status, and Station 3 is in class C with moderate pollution status.

Abstract

Dug wells are water that comes from the ground and are still widely used by Indonesians, especially in the Banjarabaru area of Sungai Ulin Housing in South Kalimantan Province. The heavy metal problem that is often encountered is manganese content. Manganese is a heavy metal that is often found in the earth's skin and is often found together with iron. Manganese heavy metal levels that exceed quality standards can make well water yellowish in color, smell of rust due to its high content and if left for several days there will be sediment in the bucket, causing a yellowish color on white clothes and can cause health problems. Improving water quality is very important, one of which is the phytoremediation method. Phytoremediation is a method of utilizing plants to remove harmful organic and inorganic substances. In this study, the authors used water hyacinth and kiambang because of their ability to absorb heavy metals in water. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of heavy metal manganese absorption using water hyacinth and kiambang plants in dug well water in Sungai Ulin Housing. The research was conducted using an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three repetitions, namely on the 3rd, 6th, and 9th days and three treatments, namely control (without the addition of water plants), water hyacinth plants and Kiambang which were carried out for 3 weeks of research. The measurement results obtained were water hyacinth plants were able to reduce manganese heavy metal levels to 0.016 mg/l with a biomass of 300 grams / 10 liters on day 9 and Kiambang water plants were able to reduce manganese heavy metal levels to 0.017 mg/l with a biomass of 500 grams / 10 liters on day 9.

Abstract

Kelompok usaha wanita pengrajin purun “Galoeh Bandjar” Kelurahan Palam, Kecamatan Cempaka, Kota Banjarbaru, Kalimantan Selatan dibentuk oleh Pemerintah Kota Banjarbaru Kalimantan Selatan sebagai wadah kelompok usaha yang bergerak dibidang kerajinan anyaman purun dan pengembangan destinasi wisata Kampung Purun. Tujuan kegiatan adalah memberikan informasi penjualan elektronik (e-commerce) berbasis online dan melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pembukaan toko jualan produk kerajinan purun secara online. Metode yang diterapkan melalui pertemuan, penyampaian materi, diskusi, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan dapat memberikan perubahan sikap dan pengetahuan kelompok mitra dari kurang mengetahui menjadi cukup banyak mengetahui tentang promosi produksi kerajinan purun secara online atau e-commerce. Informasi yang diberikan secara teori dan melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan terhadap promosi produksi kerajinan purun secara online atau e-commerce memberikan pengaruh peningkatan pemahaman kepada kelompok mitra, walaupun peningkatan baru terjadi beberapa angota kelompok mitra. Informasi yang diberikan berupa pelatihan dan pendamping memberikan dampak peningkatan yang positif, terjadinya adopsi dan promosi produk oleh anggota kelompok mitra ke anggota masyarakat lainnya mengalami perubahan ke arah positif yaitu dari kriteria cukup menjadi kriteria baik.
