Abstract

Aquaculture is growing rapidly in Banjar District of Kalimantan Selatan Province, including on Riam Kanan Reservoir which is a center for floating net cage aquaculture. The increasing aquaculture on Riam Kanan Reservoir is not supported by adequate and actual data regarding the distribution, number of plots and number of fishery household (FHs) of floating net cage aquaculture. Complete, accurate and actual data is needed as one of the considerations in implementing sustainable aquaculture management policies. This study aims to map the distribution of floating net cages based on zones and business scale level, analyze the number of plots and the number of FHs of floating net cage aquaculture on Riam Kanan Reservoir. The study was conducted in July-October 2019 using 2 survey methods: a drone survey to collect aerial photographs and a field survey to identify the number of FHs and floating net cage plots based on business scale level. The results of aerial photography were analyzed using the Agisoft Metashape Professional and Arcgis 10.7 applications. Field survey data were analyzed using the Archgis 10.7 application and Microsoft Excel. The floating net cage is spread over 6 zones totaling 4,263 plots, consisting of criteria for small business scale 1,774 plots, medium scale 1,234 plots and large scale 1,255 plots. FHs of floating net cage aquaculture spread in 7 villages as many as 425 units with the criteria of 331 small scale business, 87 medium scale and 28 large scale. The plots and FHs of floating net cage aquaculture on Riam Kanan Reservoir has increased significantly over the past 4 years.

Abstract

The mangrove forest area of PT. SILO (Sebuku Iron Lateric Ores) Kotabaru company has a mining concession area of ± 9,771 ha, around ± 85 ha of the areas are mangrove forest area that have been freed from mining activities. However, this company plans to manage this area to be an ecotourism forest in order to provide the economic value around the communities. This study aims to investigate the economic value of mangrove forest areas based on three criterions of benefit: (1) direct, indirect, and optional benefit. The primary data were collected using several method: survey, observation, and interviews with fishermen and communities around the area. A total of 22 respondents of 150 fishermen were interviewed randomly: 15 fish/shrimp fishermen, 2 clam catchers, 4 mud crab catchers, and 1 mud crab cultivator. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and total economic valuation analysis using quantification technique of market prices, indirect prices, and replacement values. The results showed the economic value of the mangrove forest area for direct benefit was IDR 10,082,232,500 year-1 (shrimp IDR 9,411,573,000; fish IDR 265,717,000; clam IDR 99,242,500; and mud crabs Rp. 305,700,000. The indirect benefit was Rp. 10,578,857,143 year-1 and as an abrasion barrier was 174,082,920 year-1 , while the value of the selected benefits was Rp. 17,901,000 year-1 . In conclusion, the value of strategic developed areas is literally integrated mangrove aquaculture (silvofishery) and mangrove ecotourism.

Abstract

High urban population growth and increasing development activities in various sectors cause various problems in urban areas, one of which is the problem of waste in addition to other problems, such as urbanization, slum settlements, and so on. The problem of urban waste arises because of poor waste management. Therefore, this research is expected to be able to find out the availability of waste handling facilities and infrastructure in Pelaihari District so that it can overcome the waste that has not been transported based on the results of generation calculations and waste composition data. The purpose of the study was to analyze waste management, the amount of generation and composition of waste in Pelaihari District. The research method is descriptive quantitative. Analysis of household waste generation and composition refers to SNI 19-3964-1994. The average volume of waste generated by the sampling in Pelaihari District is 2.505 liters/person/day while the average weight of waste is 0.36 kilograms/person/day. The composition of the waste is dominated by organic waste (55%) then the most dry waste produced is plastic at 14%.

Abstract

The management of clean water by PDAM is almost spread throughout Indonesia, but its distribution has not yet reached all regions. PDAM Tirta Dharma is a business entity owned by the Tabalong Regency Government which is responsible for providing services and smooth distribution of clean water to the community in Tanjung District. The research objective was to analyze the strategy for improving PDAM clean water services with the object of research being in Tanjung District. The sampling method used in this research is the Stratified Random Sampling technique, and the data collection uses a questionnaire method and the measurement method uses a Likert Scale / Ratting Scale (multilevel scale) filled with respondents who are PDAM Tirta Dharma customers, household customers class A1, A2 and A3. The strategy for improving PDAM clean water services with a SWOT analysis, namely: the latest technology updates to support maintenance and repair of PDAM utilities, additional backup power itself according to the PDAM's IPA capacity, expansion of the PDAM water pipe network, regular checks on the quality of raw water from Tabalong river and clean water processed by PDAM, as well as the addition of field technicians in the division of certain areas.

Abstract

Ketersediaan ikan patin hasil sentra budidaya minapolitan Kabupaten Banjar cukup besar. Namun ikan masih dominan dipasarkan dalam kondisi segar dengan persaingan yang tinggi maka harga ikan patin cenderung berfluktuasi.  Karenanya perlu upaya pengolahan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah. PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pengolahan, pengemasan, dan labelisasi; promosi produk melalui media daring, serta penilaian kelayakan finansial usaha. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan terdiri dari (1) Sosialisasi dan diskusi, (2) Demonstrasi, (3) Pelatihan dan pendampingan, dan (4) Evaluasi.  Pelatihan dan pendampingan pengolahan, pengemasan dan labelisasi produk olahan ikan patin kepada kelompok mitra telah memberikan pengaruh pada peningkatan pemahaman anggota kelompok, meskipun peningkatan baru terjadi pada beberapa anggota kelompok.  Proses adopsi dan difusi di antara anggota kelompok mitra terhadap pengelolaan usaha kelompok dengan manajemen yang baik, serta pemasaran produk menggunakan media daring menimbulkan perubahan sikap bisnis kelompok ke arah yang lebih baik. Promosi produk melalui media daring diharapkan akan berdampak terhadap perluasan jangkauan pemasaran produk dan keuntungan usaha olahan ikan patin.

Abstract

Pantai Asmara, Desa Muara Asam-asam Kabupaten Tanah Laut mulai dikembangkan sebagai obyek wisata alam sejak tahun 2016 oleh Pokdarwis Pantai Asmara. Pantai Asmara dengan segala keindahannya terus dibenahi dan dilengkapi segala fasilitasnya untuk lebih meningkatkan minat wsiatawan untuk berkunjung. Namun, pengembangan wisata Pantai Asmara masih memiliki keterbatasan pada aspek promosi, dimana kegiatan promosi belum terkelola dengan baik intensitas promosi yang masih sedikit. Oleh sebab itu, informasi yang diperoleh wisatawan cukup terbatas dan cenderung parsial. Tujuan PKM ini adalah (1) memberikan penyuluhan tentang jenis materi (konten) promosi, tata letak, dan akun media sosial; (2) memberikan pelatihan teknis penyusunan konten promosi berbasis media sosial. Metode kegiatan PKM yang diterapkan adalah (1) penyuluhan dan diskusi; (2) pelatihan dan pendampingan; dan (3) evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan telah memberikan perubahan sikap dan pengetahuan khalayak sasaran (kelompok mitra) terhadap pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai sarana promosi wisata Pantai Asmara dari kurang menjadi cukup banyak mengetahui. Proses adopsi dan difusi iptek promosi produk jasa wisata oleh anggota kelompok mitra ke anggota masyarakat lainnya sudah tergolong cukup (bernilai 60 – 80 dengan rata-rata 68). Pokdarwis Pantai Asmara telah mampu mempersiapkan dan menyusun konten akun promosi produk jasa dalam format sederhana sesuai pengetahuan dan kemampuan kelompok.

Abstract

PKM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengelolaan kualitas air kepada kelompok mitra, serta mengukur kualitas air media ikan haruan. Metode kegiatan yang diterapkan terdiri dari (1) Penyuluhan dan diskusi materi teoritis, (2) Pelatihan dan pembimbingan, dan (3) Evaluasi kegiatan.  Hasil pelaksanaan PKM menunjukkan bahwa terjadi Perubahan pengetahuan yang tertinggi adalah pada pengetahuan akan tujuan pengelolaan kolam dan kualitas air (82,5%),  selanjutnya pengetahuan terhadap tahapan pengelolaan kolam di lahan rawa, tujuan pengeringan, cara pengeringan, dan cara pengisian air media/kolam pemeliharaan mengalami kenaikan dengan nilai berkisar 58%-66%.  Sementara, pengetahuan pengapuran, pengetahuan pemupukan, praktik pengapuran, praktik pengeringan, dan praktik pemupukan kolam mengalami kenaikan masih di bawah rata-rata yaitu berkisar 40%-52%.  Kualitas air kolam pemeliharaan ikan haruan di Pokdakan Ramania Besar masih dalam batas layak untuk budidaya ikan dengan pH air 5,0 dan kandungan ammonia 0,25 mg/l.  Namun perlu diwaspadai kadar nitrat (12,5 mg/l) yang melebihi ambang batas.  Karenanya diperlukan perlakuan terhadap kualitas air kolam pemeliharaan ikan haruan, antara lain penggunaan probiotik, penerapan biofilter ataupun pergantian air agar kualitas air tetap terjaga dan mendukung pertumbuhan ikan haruan.

Abstract

The purpose of this PKM is to provide knowledge and skills for catfish-based product processing, to know the driving and inhibiting factors for business sustainability, and to analyze the financial value of the business. The activity methods applied are: (1) socialization and theoretical learning, (2) training and mentoring, and (3) evaluation of activities.  The results of the PKM showed that the attitudes and knowledge of Poklahasar members have increased from insufficient to sufficient about catfish-based processing.  Variations in the knowledge and abilities of group members before and after counseling were decreasing or tending to the average score. The driving factor for the success of the activities and the sustainability of their respective businesses is the willingness of the group members to increase the quality and quantity of the processed product. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is the uncertainty of market demand so that the group only produces relatively limited quantities. The processing of catfish-based products is financially able to provide decent benefits with payback period is shortly.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine: (1) the process of making fishcrackers catfish, (2) the level of profits and business efficiency, (3) the feasibility ofthe business, (4) marketing the product, (5) the level of weaknesses, strengths,opportunities, and threat (6) to improve their business prospects. The results of this research are (1) the process of making fish crackers weeding catfish consists of fish,to grind the fish meat, mixed, steaming, slicing, and drying, and packaging; (2) The profit in this business is IDR 1,213,011.00/year and the value of R/C ratio in the amount of 1.18; (3) fish cracker business finansal catfish are eligible to continue, withinvestment payback time is short (approximately 4 months); (4) distribution channelcatfish fish crackers by semi direct-marketing areas include Banjar District, Banjarmasin, Palangkaraya and Kapuas (Central Kalimantan), and Samarinda (East Kalimantan): (5) Management available on catfish fish cracker business is done by one person and assisted by subordinates for each part so that there is no fundamental dividing line between the various functions; (6) The results of the analysis of internal factors and external factors, which include: the addition ofproduction capacity, market expansion, service improvements, price competitive products, improvement of business management, and knowledge about consumer tastes.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) identify the types of home industry products based on marine fishery, and (2) to determine marine fishery products that can be developed as regional leading products. Four sub-districts of coastal areas of Tanah Laut regency were chosen purposeful as study locations, namely Kurau, Jorong, Panyipatan and Takisung. Primary data collection was conducted through survey and interview to sample of marine fishery product home industry which was taken by simple random sampling. Selection of marine fisheries home industry superior product using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) technique. The result of analysis showed that the home industries in the coastal area ofTanah Laut Regency is dominated by simple technology with the products produced in the form of traditional products, such as salted fish, fish and shrimp crackers, and “amplang”crackers, dried shrimp, shrimp paste, fish floss. The leading product alternatives of marine fisheries home industries in Tanah Laut regency are determined based on the criteria of raw material availability, raw material quality, value added product, technological mastery level, market opportunity, labor absorption, and current industrial product development condition shows that cracker product selected fish as a product that can be seeded with atotal value of 0.245, the next shrimp crackers and fish/shrimp floss each with a total valueof 0.221 and 0.152.
