Abstract

Learning new information and abilities is the process of education. Learning English is a skill-based learning experience that necessitates a variety of ways and tactics. Technological innovations have had a significant impact on current education. Technology is the most recent solution to the issues of learning English. As English language learning methods improve, cake completes an innovative method of language learning on a mobile phone base. The goal of this study is to look into how Cake apps can help students improve their vocabulary at IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. This study employs a pre-experimental research design with a pre-test. Five students will participate in this study. The research instruments were tests and questionnaires used to answer the study questions. How does the vocabulary of pupils change as a result of using Duolingo? The students' scores are raised as a result of the quanlitative data. The end product is anticipated to provide teachers and students with knowledge on having in-depth language learning practice in a convenient style.

Abstract

Students who enter junior high school must have master the basics of the international language, that is English language, so that when entering senior high school students are proficient in English. The purpose of this study is to find out whether the learnenglish.de website is able to influence students' skills in English, especially in mastering English vocabulary. This type of research was included in the type of qualitative research with a descriptive study approach. This research was conducted specifically, detail, and in depth with students. The results of this study include; Many students were helped by online courses, moreover free courses, in improving English skills. In addition, 86,4% of 44 students agreed that the learnenglish.de website was worth using to improve their English skills, especially in terms of vocabulary. Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the Ome TV application in improving English vocabulary and pronunciation for non-native speakers. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and content analysis to analyze the impact of Ome TV on language learning. Previous studies have shown that Ome TV can improve speaking skills, vocabulary, and pronunciation for non-native speakers. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and content analysis to analyze the impact of Ome TV on language learning. Previous studies have shown that Ome TV can improve speaking skills, pronunciation, vocabulary, and self-confidence, as well as courage. The content analysis of the conversations between the participants and native English speakers revealed that the participants were able to use more complex vocabulary and sentence structures after using Ome TV. The results of this study suggest that Ome TV is an effective tool for improving English language skills, as it provides opportunities for users to interact with native English speakers and expand their vocabulary. Additionally, using Ome TV can increase users' confidence and willingness to communicate in English. Overall, this study highlights the potential of Ome TV as a language learning tool for non-native speakers.

Abstract

Lack of vocabulary is the main problem for Indonesian students who learn English. One of the things that makes learning English difficult is the lack of vocabulary. In order that, the technology development in this current era can be used as a way to improve students’ vocabulary. There are many software or applications on phones and laptops that provide learning English. The purpose of this research is to analyze whether the “Bright-English for Beginners” application be able to increase students’ vocabulary or not. This type of research was included in the type of quantitative research with a group without treatment (control group) and a group with treatment (experimental group) which carry out a pre-test and post-test. Before giving the treatment, both groups were given a pre-test. After giving the treatment, which is an experimental group are taught by “Bright-English for Beginners” application and control group without it, the researcher gave a post-test. The results of this include 1) There is a relevant improvement for the group with treatment (experimental group) from the pre-test (before treatment) and post-test (after treatment), 2) There is a significant difference between students’ vocabulary utilizing “Bright-English for Beginners” application and without using it, 3) Vocabulary learning using the “Bright-English for Beginners” application has been proven to be more effective than using the usual method.

Abstract

AbstrakMinimnya pengajar membaca Al-Qur’an pada kaum LANSIA WNI di Rumah Dakwah Gombak Malaysia, terjadi karena kebudayaan-kebudayaan setempat yang tidak mendukung dalam menumbuhkan motivasi keagamaan. hal tersebut berdampak pada rendahnya ruh beragama dan pengetahuan agama kaum LANSIA. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari banyaknya kaum LANSIA yang belum bisa membaca Al-Quran. Dengan demikian perlu adanya upaya-upaya kongkrit bagaimana membantu mitra mengurai permasalahan yang ada pada kaum LANSIA dan ibu-ibu ‘Aisyiyah Pimpinan Cabang Istimewa Muhammadiyah Malaysia dalam pembinaan membaca Al-Quran dengan metode Tsaqifa melalui usaha rintisan kelompok belajar senior school. Tujuan dilaksanakan PkM ini untuk (1) Memberikan pelatihan/workshop pada ibu-ibu ‘Aisyiyah tentang metode Tsaqifa sebagai metode membaca Al-Quran bagi kaum LANSIA (2) Memberikan pelatihan Aisyiyah di Pimpinan Cabang Istimewa Muhammadiyah ‘Aisyiyah (PCIA) Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Malaysia sebagai kaderisasi berkelanjutan dalam mengajar  Al-Quran pada LANSIA dengan menggunakan metode Tsaqifa. Metode penelitian menggunakan Participatory Action Research (PAR) merupakan pendekatan yang prosesnya bertujuan untuk pembelajaran dalam mengatasi masalah dan pemenuhan kebutuhan praktis masyarakat, serta produksi ilmu pengetahuan. Kegiatan dilakukan selama satu bulan. Mitra kegiatan adalah Pimpinan Cabang Istimewa ’Aisyiyah Malaysia dengan sasaran kegiatan ibu-ibu LANSIA di Rumah Dakwah Gombak Malaysia. Hasil dari evaluasi yang dilakukan, banyak ibu LANSIA yang merasa terbantu dengan adanya metode pembelajaran Tsaqifa. Meski dalam pelaksanaannya banyak kendala yang masih perlu ada perbaikan bagi pengabdi berikutnya. Kata Kunci: Al-Quran; metode Tsaqifa; lansia. AbstractThe lack of Qur'an recitation teachers for the elderly Indonesian citizens at the Rumah Dakwah Gombak Malaysia, occurs because of local cultures that are not supportive in fostering religious motivation. this has an impact on the low religious spirit and religious knowledge of the elderly. This can be seen from the number of elderly people who cannot read the Koran. Thus, there is a need for concrete efforts to help partners unravel the problems that exist in the elderly and mothers of ‘Aisyiyah Muhammadiyah Malaysia Special Branch in fostering reading the Koran with the Tsaqifa method through the pilot efforts of the senior school study group. The objectives of this PkM are to (1) Provide training/workshops for ‘Aisyiyah mothers on the Tsaqifa method as a method of reading the Quran for the elderly (2) Provide Aisyiyah training at the Special Branch of Muhammadiyah ’Aisyiyah (PCIA) Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Malaysia as a sustainable regeneration in teaching the Quran to the elderly using the Tsaqifa method. The research method used Participatory Action Research (PAR), an approach whose process aims at learning to solve problems and fulfil the practical needs of the community, as well as the production of knowledge. Activities were carried out for one month. The activity partner was the Special Branch of ‘Aisyiyah Malaysia with the target of the activities of LANSIA mothers at the Gombak Malaysia Da'wah House. As a result of the evaluation, many LANSIA mothers felt helped by the Tsaqifa learning method. Abstract

Indonesia has the latest curriculum, namely the independent curriculum, whose learning is holistic and based on the CEFR level.  However, in practice, the learning and teaching still uses traditional pedagogy that relies on the left brain and focuses only on grammar (linguistics).  This fact is supported by evidence of a decline in the English proficiency index (EPI) in 2022 which shows that Indonesia is at a low level (ranked 81 out of 111 countries). In his latest research, Sudimantara (2021) develops a new pedagogy (Multisensorial Load Reduction Strategies) that activates the nonverbal components of language (rhythm, intonation, movement, emotion, and aesthetics). Another research by A,-P Lian & Cai (2021) also introduces a Verbotonal Approach which emphasizes prosodic information (intonation and rhythm) to rearrange the learner’s perception of the language being learned thereby facilitating language learning. In line with previous research, this research provides an innovative development of digital literacy resources for multisensory English learning based on CEFR. This research uses qualitative development with R&D (Research and Development) design with the research step to be carried out (Analyzing, design, developing, and Evaluation). The results show that these digital literacy resources can be applied by teachers for student learning. This research is expected that digital literacy can be further developed for multisensory learning which is beneficial for language learning.Keywords: CEFR-Based Learning, Digital Resources, Multisensory

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the school committee in improving the quality of education at SD Muhammadiyah Tegalgede, focusing on the challenges and strategies faced. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document studies. The results show that the school committee plays a role as an advisory, supporting, controlling, and mediating body in enhancing educational quality. The committee is actively involved in providing policy recommendations, fundraising, ensuring financial transparency, and facilitating communication between the school, parents, and the community. However, the main challenges include parental protests over high school fees and dissatisfaction with the quality of school services. To address these issues, the school committee reevaluated the school fees, improved financial transparency, and trained teachers and staff to be more responsive to the needs of students and parents. This study concludes that the role of the school committee is crucial in improving educational quality, although further efforts are needed to enhance parental participation and address resource limitations.
