Abstract

This paper discusses artificial intelligence-powered virtual assistants in the teaching of Mandarin as a second language at elementary level; they are analyzed with respect to their influence on learners’ linguistic knack, and cultural appreciation. The study adopts a qualitative research design using methods such as observation, interview and survey that will help examine how these AI tools facilitate learning processes and enhance interest through an ongoing form of learning that seeks to achieve thorough context-based cultural understanding. Results instructed us about major improvements realized in both language acquisition and cultural awareness; this research also raised a concern regarding the potential dangers resulting from excessive reliance on AI technologies in educational spheres. Therefore, this research advocates for use of artificial intelligence based devices that complement conventional teaching techniques so as to offer language instruction comprehensively without leaving out any aspect of the target culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how students at SD Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyah Malang develop their religious identities during the course of their education. This study is an example of descriptive qualitative research, and it was conducted by selecting grades 1 to 6 as samples and talking to two informants, namely the principal and homeroom teachers of grades 1 to 6, both of whom are regarded as having knowledge and information about the issues that were researched, specifically the Pattern of Religious Character Formation for Students at SD AL -IRSYAD AL-ISLMAIYYAH MALANG. In-depth interviews with various informants were also part of the data collection process, in addition to the use of observation and documentation as data collection tools. A qualitative analysis was performed on the data. By conducting interviews with informants who were seen from the perspective of the influence of educators, students, canteens, classrooms, and playing fields, this study was able to show that quite good results were achieved in shaping the religious character of students. These results were shown in the findings of the study. The instructors as well as the students themselves each have a beneficial and a negative impact on the religious character that is developed in the kids.

Abstract

The ICT development today is spurring elementary school students' learning in classroom, so they have analytical skills, critical thinking, and superior competence. Good learning must be carried out with the learning objectives. Researchers carried out preliminary observations for obtaining the needs of teachers and students in learning science in elementary schools in Blitar. Observation findings state that teachers tend to use conventional teaching materials and students tend to get bored in visualization-based learning, like water cycle material in sciences. Researchers propose research and development for products in form of Science E-Books about the potential for water tourism to spur student achievement in water cycle material. Researchers carry out 7 out of 10 stages of research only because of limited time, manpower, and funds. Design production is validated by material, media, and language experts with respective average scores of 86%, 84%, and 91%, all of which are classified as valid. Then researcher also carried out product readability test on teachers and students with an average score of 96% and 87%, all of which were also valid. Thus, the development of the Science E-Book can be used by teachers to spur student achievement in science learning on the water cycle material.

Abstract

The role of elementary school teachers is not only to transfer knowledge, but also to contribute to the formation of students' character. One of the pillars of the success of character education is the realization of ideal elementary school teacher candidates. The cultivation of character education can be done in various ways, one of which is through the learning of elementary social studies courses. So it is hoped that the learning from the elementary social studies course will help students in shaping the character that prospective elementary school teachers must have. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. Qualitative descriptive research is a research procedure that produces descriptive data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observable behavior from data sources. This research was conducted at the Balitar Islamic University campus for PGSD students. The research stages include: observation, interviews, documentation. The current condition of the Indonesian nation and state encourages the government to prioritize character education in national development to realize the vision of national development, which is to create a society with noble character, morality, ethics, culture, and civility based on the Pancasila philosophy. Character values ​​must be instilled by elementary school teachers since they follow the education of prospective elementary school teachers so that they can transmit these values ​​to their students in the future. Character education for prospective elementary school teachers is carried out using an integrated approach in all subjects.

Abstract

The implementation of this research is due to the ineffective literacy learning and anti-bullying education in schools. Acts of bullying experienced by students at school still occur. The research objectives: (1) develop an educational game 'Sianting' with a problem-solving approach that integrates literacy learning with anti-bullying education; (2) test the feasibility of the 'Sianting' educational game. This research was conducted using the ADDIE model R&D method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The 'Sianting' game media was tested through expert and field tests. The results showed that the 'Sianting' game was declared valid based on expert and user validation. 'Sianting" game is effectively applied in literacy learning and anti-bullying education at school. The practicality of the 'Sianting' game is very good. The results of material expert validation get a percentage value of 95%, media experts get a percentage of 93.75%, and users get a percentage value of 92.5%, so it is 'very valid.' The results of limited trials in small groups get a percentage value of 89.37%, and extensive trials in large groups get a percentage value of 91.47%. The average pretest results get a value of 69, and the average post-test gets a value of 86, showing an increase in the average value obtained by students after using the 'Sianting' educational game media. Thus, the 'Sianting' game is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' literacy skills and anti-bullying educational understanding of media.

Abstract

AbstrakMahasiswa Universitas Islam Balitar Blitar melakukan Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) di Desa Wonorejo Kecamatan Srengat Kabupaten Blitar khususnya di dukuh Gempol Kenceng. Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) dilakukan mulai tanggal 10 Agustus hingga 8 September 2022. Mahasiswa KKN UNISBA melakukan berbagai program kerja yang sangat bermanfaat diantaranya di bidang pendidikan yaitu melakukan dan membantu proses belajar mengajar untuk siswa–siswi SDN Wonorejo 2 kemudian juga ikut serta dalam perayaan HUT RI Ke-77 di SDN Wonorejo 2 dengan berbagai kegiatan mulai dari upacara bendera hari kemerdekaan RI hingga mengadakan lomba–lomba yang diadakan di SD tersebut. Kemudian di bidang UMKM membantu proses penjualan melalui market place serta lebih memudahkan konsumen dalam melakukan proses jual beli di berbagai daerah mulai dari dalam kota hingga luar kota juga luar negeri. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini Mengembangkan dan menerapkan serta menularkan ilmu yang telah di dapat oleh masyarakat kepada masyarakat dalam kegiatan–kegiatan KKN di Desa Wonorejo. Menciptakan hubungan baik antara institusi dengan masyarakat khususnya Desa Wonorejo. Memberikan sebuah pemahaman akan dunia yang setiap tahunnya mengalami perubahan. Membantu masyarakat memulihkan ekonomi berbasis teknologi. Metode yang digunakan observasi langsung dilingkungan masyarakat. Strategi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kepada masyarakat setempat. Kesulitan yang dialami adalah  belum ada pemasaran digital dan pembelajaran yang kurang menarik bagi siswa. Hasil dari kegitan adalah Mahasiswa membuat akun media sosial berupa instagram dan membuat content yang akan diunggah untuk melakukan pemasaran berbasis teknologi. Mahasiswa memberikan pengalaman dalam kegiatan mengajar. Selain itu, membantu pihak sekolah dalam penataan ulang lingkungan sekolah.Kata Kunci: Usaha, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Digital Marketing, Perekonomian

Abstract

Hasil observasi pembelajaran IPA di SDI Aisyiyah Jatinom mengindikasikan bahwa pendidik belum memanfaatkan media berbasis teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Selama dua pertemuan, pendidik mengandalkan media non-digital seperti gambar sebagai alat bantu mengajar dan dominan menggunakan metode ceramah. Akibatnya, respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran kurang antusias dan partisipasi aktif minim. Siswa tampak tidak minat dan tidak fokus terhadap materi yang pendidik sampaikan, terlihat dari beberapa siswa yang tertidur di kelas, membuat kegaduhan, dan berbicara di luar konteks pelajaran. Kondisi ini berdampak negatif terhadap minat belajar siswa dan menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar . Untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SDI Aisyiyah Jatinom, pengaplikasian model pembelajaran berbantuan media yang tepat sangat penting. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat diterapkan ialah memanfaatkan media digital seperti Bosiva dan mengkombinasikannya dengan model pembelajaran PBL dalam mata pelajaran IPAS untuk kelas V. Model PBL dipilih karena dapat membantu siswa dalam pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan memecahkan sebuah masalah. Ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran menggunakan media digital seperti Bosiva dengan model pembelajaran pada pembelajaran IPAS di kelas V SDI Aisyiyah Jatinom. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa Penerapan model pembelajaran PBL dengan bantuan media Bosiva pada pembelajaran IPAS kelas V SDI Aisyiyah Jatinom menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis, memecahkan sebuah masalah, komunikasi, dan kerjasama merupakan kompetensi penting yang perlu dikembangkan pada siswa. Penggunaan media digital seperti video, gambar, dan simulasi terbukti signifikan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang sedang dipelajari. Dari hasil tes, rata-rata nilai yang dicapai siswa adalah 81,22, menunjukkan peningkatan pencapaian yang positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada rendahnya kemampuan matematika murid Indonesia, yang tercermin dari skor rata-rata PISA 2022 sebesar 366, jauh melampaui level minimum OECD. Observasi di tiga sekolah dasar di Blitar menunjukkan bahwa alat bantu pembelajaran yang digunakan masih terbatas pada benda konkret dan minim pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Wawancara dengan guru mengungkapkan bahwa kendala utama dalam penggunaan teknologi adalah keterbatasan perangkat dan dukungan orang tua. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk menguji pengaruh Aplikasi Pembagian (APEM) sehubungan dengan minat serta perkembangan hasil belajar murid kelas III pada materi pembagian, serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dalam penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis digital. Memanfaatkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen tidak murni dan rancangan pretest-posttest dengan kelompok kontrol yang tidak setara, penelitian dilakukan di UPT SD Negeri Kepanjen Kidul 02 selama Semester Genap Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024, melibatkan 44 murid. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan APEM secara signifikan meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar murid, dengan skor posttest yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Uji statistik mendukung validitas temuan, menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan APEM memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan matematika murid. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, disarankan agar pengajaran matematika lebih sering menggunakan media APEM untuk meningkatkan pengaruh pembelajaran, terutama pada materi yang membutuhkan pemahaman konsep, seperti pembagian. Penggunaan media ini, yang dikombinasikan dengan model PBL, terbukti berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan minat dan pencapaian belajar murid secara signifikan.

Abstract

Community service activities as a form of implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which is carried out by involving lecturers, students and partner institutions. In this community service with the title "Mentoring the Preparation of the 4 Anti Programs (No Sexual Violence, No Bullying, Intolerance, and No Corruption) for Elementary School Students at SDN Bendo 01" as a form of community service activities carried out in collaboration with it.  This community service activity began with field observations of the situation and condition of student characters at SDN Bendo 01 by observing students' daily behavior at school, both in interacting with teachers and peers. Observations were made starting from learning activities, and student interactions in and outside the classroom. After obtaining information about the development of SDN Bendo 01 students, a schedule was prepared for mentoring class teachers and subject teachers to participate in this activity on a scheduled basis. It is hoped that all teachers can prepare and implement no violence programs in the school environment and the surrounding community.  The final result of this community service activity is the preparation of no violence guidelines in schools both in classroom and outside classroom learning activities. So it is hoped that with these guidelines it will make it easier for teachers to develop good character in students and make it easier for students to behave in the school environment and the community.

Abstract

Based on the results of the preliminary study conducted by the researcher, it shows that students have difficulty spelling the main idea questions, which on average in the initial score of class III A obtained a score of 29.6 while in class III B it was 26.6. This is because students' interest in reading is less and students' ability to understand reading texts. With these findings, the researcher hopes that using the learning media Three Secret Missions of Finding Main Ideas can make it easier for students to understand the main ideas. The research method was carried out using quantitative research with a quasi-experimental type of design in the form of pretest-postest control design group. The approach taken by the researcher aims to determine the effectiveness of using the learning media of the Three Secret Missions of Finding Main Ideas in the main idea material in elementary schools. The research procedure is carried out through three stages, namely (1) Preparation stage, (2) Implementation stage, (3) Reporting stage. The instruments used by the researcher include, observation, interviews, questionnaires (questionnaires), pretest-posttest questions, and documentation. Based on the results of research and data processing, an increase in value of 23.85% was obtained in the experimental class where the value increased from an average score of 29.65 to 53.5. The increase in scores that occurred in the experimental class showed that the media succeeded in improving students' understanding but was still not effective because it had not reached the Minimum Achievement Criteria score.
