Abstract

This study investigates the methodology of muqāranah al-mażāhib (comparative of madhhabs) as applied by Ibn Qudāmah in his seminal work, Kitāb al-Mugnī, a key reference in the landscape of Islamic jurisprudence in Indonesia. The primary purpose is to critically analyze Ibn Qudāmah’s comparative legal approach and assess its relevance for contemporary ijtihad. Employing a qualitative method, the research utilizes content analysis and textual hermeneutics to examine selected chapters of al-Mugnī—specifically those related to acts of worship and mu‘āmalah (social transactions). The findings reveal that Ibn Qudāmah's method systematically compares the legal views of the four major Sunni madhhabs and includes perspectives from other jurists, presenting them with detailed argumentation and rational justification. His use of tarjīḥ (preference) reflects a critical evaluative process that selects the most compelling legal opinion based on textual evidence and reasoning. The originality of this study lies in its focused analysis of Ibn Qudāmah's structured comparative technique, which balances scholarly objectivity with methodological rigor. The implications of this research are significant for contemporary Islamic legal scholarship, particularly in advancing the practice of collective ijtihad, refining fatwa formulation processes, and fostering a tolerant yet disciplined engagement with legal diversity. Furthermore, the integration of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah into this comparative framework enriches its applicability in addressing modern socio-legal issues.

Abstract

The digital age has revolutionized many aspects of life, including the way we negotiate. Digital platforms such as social media, email and video conferencing have opened up new opportunities to negotiate with parties around the world. However, these changes also present new challenges that require adaptive and innovative negotiation strategies. This research aims to observe and understand the interactions and dynamics of negotiations taking place on digital platforms. Qualitative methods were used to analyze effective negotiation strategies in the digital era through various digital platforms. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with digital platform users, direct observation of the negotiation process on digital platforms, as well as a literacy review of previous research. The results show that negotiations are increasingly turning to online platforms that offer flexibility, wide coverage and easy access to information. However, digital negotiations also face significant challenges such as a lack of non-verbal communication, difficulty in building trust, and potential technological disruptions. To create effective negotiations in the digital age, an adaptive strategy is needed that takes into account the unique characteristics of digital negotiations and helps companies reach mutually beneficial agreements. This strategy includes seven steps outlined by Poerwanto (2014), namely preparation, first contact, assessment, confrontation, conciliation, solution, and post-negotiation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze working capital and profitability ratios on PT. Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk, profitability ratios use the Return On Assets (ROA) and Return On Equity (ROE) indicators. This study uses data collected from the IDX website, namely www.idx.co.id. The data obtained is then processed and adjusted to the needs of researchers during the 2012-2021observation period. Calculation techniques and data analysis using multiple linear regression methods to determine whether there is a significant influence between the variables Working Capital, Return On Assets (ROA), and Return On Equity (ROE) on Profit Growth. Based on the results of the study, working capital has a positive effect on profit growth with a value of 2.555. The Return On Assets (ROA) ratio has a positive effect on profit growth with a value of 42.369. The Return On Equity (ROE) ratio has a positive effect on profit growth with a value of 11,478. Simultaneously Working Capital, Return On Assets (ROA), Return On Equity (ROE) simultaneously have a significant effect on profit growth with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05.

Abstract

Generation Z faces a series of challenges, including limited financial resources, yet the demographic of investors in the Indonesian capital market is predominantly composed of Generation Z, including in Langsa City. This research aims to uncover determinants, including the influence of factors such as investment knowledge, celebrity endorsement, and word of mouth, on the investment interest of Generation Z in Langsa City in Shariah digital mutual funds. This study employs quantitative research methods, collecting data through a questionnaire with a sample of 110 respondents and analyzing it using the SPSS application with multiple linear regression. The t-test results indicate that the investment knowledge factor has a t-value of 5,894, surpassing the t-table value 1.659, with a significance level of 0.000 ≤ alpha 0,05, thus accepting H1. The t-value for the celebrity endorsement factor is 3,705, exceeding the t-table value of 1.659, with a significance level of 0,000 ≤ alpha 0,05, accepting H2. The t-value for word of mouth is -0,269, surpassing the t-table value of 1.659, with a significance level of 0,788 ≤ alpha 0,05, rejecting H3. Therefore, the results of this study indicate that investment knowledge and celebrity endorsement significantly influence the investment interest of Generation Z in Langsa City in Shariah digital mutual funds. At the same time, word of mouth does not significantly impact.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of regional own-source revenue, general allocation funds, special allocation funds, and oil and gas profit-sharing funds on the economic growth of Aceh province using the Vector Auto Regression (VAR)/ Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method. The results showed that based on the VECM estimation test, in the short term, local revenue and general allocation funds had a negative and significant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, the special allocation fund variable has a positive and insignificant long term effect. however, the oil and gas profit-sharing fund variable has a negative and significant effect on the economic growth of Aceh province. In general, based on the IRF test, the shock that occurred in the variables of general allocation funds and oil and gas profit-sharing funds was responded negatively by economic growth.

Abstract

This research investigates the psychological impact of cyberbullying on individuals' self-concept and analyzes the strategies and coping mechanisms used to reduce the negative consequences that arise. Using a qualitative approach, in-depth interviews were conducted with a number of participants who had experienced cyberbullying. Findings suggest variation in how individuals respond to these experiences, with some experiencing reduced self-esteem, while others develop adaptive strategies to cope with the psychological impact. Social support, developing mental resilience, self-reflection, managing social media, and seeking professional help were identified as key strategies. The results of this study provide in-depth insight into the complexity of the impact and individual responses to cyberbullying, and provide a foundation for the development of more effective interventions.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of SSB Characteristics on financial performance of Islamic Banks in Southeast Asia, particularly in Malaysia and Indonesia. To establish the relationship between SSB characteristics and financial performance, secondary data from banks' annual report was collected and then analysed using Panel data regression model and T test with the help of Eviews 10.Result shows that there is no significant effect of the observed characteristics (size, doctoral degree, number of meetings) on financial performance of Islamic banks Originality/value – the strength of this study is that it focuses on the two most prominent countries regarding Islamic finance in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh inflasi, nilai tukar rupiah (kurs), dan BI-Rate terhadap harga emas di Indonesia selama periode Januari 2020 hingga April 2025. Emas dipandang sebagai instrumen investasi yang relatif stabil dan berfungsi sebagai penyimpan nilai, serta sering dianggap sebagai safe haven di tengah ketidakpastian ekonomi. Namun demikian, harga emas dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor makroekonomi yang kompleks. Bagi investor, khususnya yang berprinsip syariah, pemahaman terhadap dinamika ini penting untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan investasi yang sejalan dengan maqashid syariah, terutama dalam menjaga harta (hifzh al-mal) dan menghindari unsur gharar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode regresi Ordinary Least Square (OLS) pada data time series bulanan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa inflasi, kurs, dan BI-Rate secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap harga emas dengan nilai p-value = 0,01. Secara parsial, variabel inflasi p-value = 0,01, variabel BI-Rate p-value = 0,030, dan variabel kurs p-value = 0,01 juga memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap harga emas. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa variabel makroekonomi memiliki peran penting dalam memengaruhi fluktuasi harga emas di Indonesia dalam lima tahun terakhir

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the government's communication strategy in communicating the salary increase policy for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and non-ASN teachers in 2025. The study used a qualitative approach using a literature review method, examining various official government sources, policy reports, and relevant scientific publications. The analysis focused on three main aspects of the communication strategy: information transmission, message clarity, and consistency of communication between institutions. The results show that the government has utilized various communication channels, both conventional and digital, to disseminate the policy to the public. However, several obstacles remain, such as limited access to information in remote areas, the emergence of misinformation on social media, and suboptimal communication coordination between relevant institutions. On the other hand, the development of digital technology and the increasing transparency of public information provide significant opportunities to strengthen the effectiveness of policy communication. A more integrated, clear, and inclusive communication strategy is considered crucial for increasing public understanding and support for the teacher salary increase policy. This policy is expected to not only improve teacher welfare but also contribute to the sustainable improvement of the quality of national education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore family financial management among couples in a Long Distance Marriage (LDM). The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with primary data collected through interviews, surveys, and observation. Informants include lecturers from IAIN Langsa undergoing LDM, selected via snowball sampling. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s qualitative analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that financial management in LDM couples varies depending on the division of roles between husband and wife, with most husbands entrusting financial management to their wives. Savings, investments, debts, and emergency funds/insurance are key components in ensuring financial well-being. This study emphasizes the importance of wise financial management in navigating the challenges of distance and differing roles within LDM families.
