Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve observing and communicating skills of student on learning biology. The research was a Classroom Action Reasearch (CAR) that has been done in two cycles and each cycle consists of plan, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research are 36 students of X grade. Data are obtained by observation, test, interview, and documentation. The analysis of this data use quantitative descriptive technique. The validity of data use technique of triangulation. The target of this research is to increase percentage of observing and communicating skills about ≥ 30% does archieved. The improvement of observing skill can be showed by increasing the average percentage that reached by student from 50,79% in pre-cycle to 66,11% in cycle I, and increase to 81, 97% in cycle II. The improvement of communicating skill can be showed by increasing the average percentage that reached by student from 40,19% in pre-cycle to 54,75% in cycle I, and increase to 77,99% in cycle II. Based on the result above the conclusion of this research is there’s an improvement of observing and communicating skills of student using problem based instruction

Abstract

This community service aims to improve the knowledge and skills of Posyandu cadres in stimulating the motor and sensory development of early childhood, especially during the golden period of development (age 0-6 years). This activity was carried out at Posyandu Rajawali, Kp. Dukuh Pinang, Baros, Serang Regency, involving 10 active Posyandu cadres. The methods applied in this program include counseling and training carried out for three consecutive meetings. The results of the activity showed that 80% of participants stated that this program was very good and provided significant benefits. The level of participant satisfaction was also quite high, with 40% stating that they were very satisfied, 50% satisfied, and only 10% feeling less satisfied. This program has proven effective in improving the competence and expertise of Posyandu cadres in supporting and stimulating the motor and sensory development of children at an early age. It is hoped that with the increased knowledge and skills obtained, Posyandu cadres can contribute more optimally in monitoring, stimulating, and supporting the development of early childhood in their environment.

Abstract

Tourism is a strategic sector in regional development that contributes to economic growth and environmental conservation, including through the development of educational tourism with a focus on nature conservation. The Sea Turtle Conservation Area in Pariaman City is a tourist destination that not only serves as a sea turtle conservation center but also as an environmental education facility for the community and tourists. This study aims to analyze the management of the tourist area and identify the challenges that arise during the management process. The research approach used is qualitative-descriptive, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. The main sources are the managers. The study results show that management is carried out based on the POAC management functions: planning for infrastructure development and educational programs, organizing tasks between departments, implementing educational and protection programs, and monitoring through regular coordination. Although management is functioning fairly well, there are several obstacles such as poorly maintained facilities, limited budgets, and a need to raise public awareness. Overall, the management of this conservation area has made a positive contribution to sea turtle protection and sustainable tourism development, but improvements are still needed in terms of facility maintenance and community participation. Abstract

Remaja yang tinggal di panti asuhan rentan mengalami kesulitan dalam mengelola emosi secara adaptif karena minimnya dukungan emosional dan pengalaman pengasuhan yang konsisten. Untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan regulasi emosi, dilakukan intervensi psikoedukasi kepada delapan remaja laki-laki di Panti Asuhan X Kota Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain one group pre-test post-test untuk mengukur efektivitas intervensi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan regulasi emosi. Hasil analisis repeated measures ANOVA menunjukkan penurunan signifikan dalam skor kesulitan regulasi emosi pada tiga waktu pengukuran (F (2,14) = 50.214, p < .001, ω² = 0.516), serta peningkatan pengetahuan regulasi emosi yang signifikan (F (2,14) = 227.706, p < .001, ω² = 0.943). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa psikoedukasi memberikan dampak positif dalam memperkuat pemahaman dan penerapan strategi regulasi emosi yang lebih sehat dan adaptif pada remaja.
