Abstract

Special Maharah'(listening skill) is one of the four linguistic skills, both listening (istima'), listening (kalam), reading (qira'ah) and writing (kitabah). Maharah Istima' (listening skill) is a language skill that USU Arabic Literature students learn for the first time before learning other language skills. Good and precise listening skills owned by USU Arabic Literature students will be the main capital for USU Arabic Literature students to master other language skills and make it easier for USU Arabic Literature students to master languages, especially Arabic. The Istima' course is one of the compulsory subjects offered by the Arabic Literature study program, University of North Sumatra. The learning process of Maharah Istima' (listening skills) is good, Appropriate learning methods and interesting learning media are needed to obtain maximum results. Considering that in the process there are still problems and obstacles in improving the listening skills of USU Arabic Literature students, Arabic Literature study program, University of North Sumatra. The purpose of the research to be carried out is todetermine the effect of using podcasts in improving listening skills (maharah istima') in Arabic Literature students of USU Arabic Literature University of North Sumatra. This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental model that uses data collection techniques through tests (both pre-test and post-test) then the data is analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.

Abstract

إن النزاع بين العامية والفصحة في المسرح العربي قد بدأ منذ قديم، ولا يزال مستمرّا حتى الآن. كل فرقة يلتزمون ويتمسكون بآراءهم. وهناك عوامل تسبب إلى هذا النزاع داخليا كان أو خارجيا. فمن الطبيعي هذه الظاهرة تأثر إلى الثقافة العربية. حاول هذا البحث لكشف عوامل النزاع بين العامية والفصحة في المسرح العربي. وفي نفس الوقت إبراز أهمية اللغة في المسرح العربي التي هي أساس النزاع بينهما، وما آثار هذا النزاع في تطور الثقافة العربية. ويقوم البحث بالمنهج الوصف والتحليل لإبراز العوامل التي تسبب إلى النزاع بين العامية والفصحة وما أثره للثقافة العربية. ونتائج البحث هي أن عوامل النزاع بين العامية والفصحة تنقسم إلى قسمين، هما الوامل الداخلية والعوامل الخارجية. وهذا النزاع يتأثر إلى الثقافة العربية، وفيها إيجابيات وسلبيات.

Abstract

The area of Parsingguran II Tourism Village, Pollung District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency has very potential for rural tourism potential to be developed. This village has interesting characteristics, namely nature, culture , and agrotourism . These three potentials are still in the process of being developed by village groups, so this potential must be encouraged and developed following the socio-cultural characteristics of the community. The development of tourism potential based on local wisdom is a strategic effort in developing Parsingguran II Tourism Village. This strategic effort has been accommodated by the USU LPPM in 2021, however, the development of a strategic Tourism Village has not yet produced maximum results in village development. The community empowerment program carried out is to empower agricultural land by building a healthy agricultural culture through a living pharmacy garden to support the development of tourist villages in service locations

Abstract

This study aims to determine how patriarchal relations in the family are in the novel مذكرات طبيبة / Mudzakkirat Thabibah / ‘Memoirs of a Woman Doctor’. Patriarchal culture in the family carries the relationship between men and women regarding the division of roles in family and household life between men and women in the novel.. The method used is the descriptive analysis method. The results of the study indicate that patriarchal family relations in the novel relate to women’s roles in household chores, the division of domestic roles, the father’s role in education, learning manners and politeness, protection over children, reproductive education, and hair-cutting customs. The conclusion drawn from this study is that the patriarchal culture portrayed in the novel reflects the social reality of Egyptian society, reinforcing male dominance and its influential role in societal life.
