Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to determine the physical condition level of students in the Physical Education Study Program at Hamzanwadi University. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The population of this study consists of all students from the 2022 cohort of the Physical Education Study Program, totaling 106 individuals. The sample was determined using simple random sampling, taking a random sample of 15%, which amounts to 16 individuals. The data collection instruments used were flexibility tests (Sit and Reach Test), balance tests (Standing Stork Test), abdominal muscle strength tests (Sit Up and Push Up), strength tests (Standing Long Jump), speed tests (30 m Sprint), agility tests (T-Test), and VO2max endurance tests (Bleep test). Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis techniques with percentages. From the research results, it can be concluded that the physical condition of the students in the Physical Education Study Program at Hamzanwadi University can be categorized as "good." The highest percentage of the physical condition level of students from each test item is in the “Very Good” category, which includes the Leg Muscle Explosiveness Test at 100%, the “Good” category for the Agility Test at 62.5%, the “Moderate” category for the Speed Test at 50%, the “Poor” category for the Endurance/Vo2max Test at 62.5%, and the “Very Poor” category for the Static Balance Test at 18.8%. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of interactive methods in increasing student activeness in physical education learning. The research method used is descriptive method in the form of written or spoken words from the person observed. This research was conducted at Madrasah Aliyah Asy-Syafi'iyah Bendung, the subjects of this research were sports teachers and students of class XI IPA Ma Asy-Syafi'iyah Bendung. There are two sources of data used, namely primary data sources are data directly collected by researchers from statements submitted to sources, namely sports teachers and also students of class XI IPA Ma Asy-Syafi'iyah Bendung in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Secondary data sources are data directly collected by researchers through articles and journals. The results of the research obtained by the researcher that the interactive method is able to make students become more active in the learning process, seen from before and after the provision of game-based interactive methods students become more excited and do not feel bored in the learning process. It can be concluded that student learning outcomes in PE subjects taught using game-based interactive methods can increase student activeness in the PE learning process.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development of a digital-based tool known as the Sit and Reach box, designed to measure back and hamstring flexibility with improved accuracy, efficiency, and practicality over traditional manual devices. The development of instruments capable of displaying measurement results in real-time, reducing reading bias, and accelerating the data recapitulation process is an urgent need in the Physical Education study program. Utilizing the Research and Development (R&D) methodology, specifically the Borg & Gall model, the research involved 25 students for validity testing and 75 students and athletes for reliability testing. The instrument integrates Arduino R3 technology alongside an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor and a digital LCD within a modified sit-and-reach box. Data analysis was performed through the Product-Moment validity test and Cronbach’s Alpha reliability test, yielding results that indicated high validity and reliability for the tool. The final product was deemed feasible, practical, and user-friendly while enhancing measurement efficiency, reducing reading bias, and accelerating data recap processes. Furthermore, the study established flexibility assessment norms to aid in evaluating flexibility levels. This digital flexibility test tool is thus suitable for application in practicum classes, physical condition assessments, and coaching, and holds potential for future developments in digital application integration and broader distribution to educational and sports organizations.

Abstract

Doing physical activity can make the body fit and increase the body's immunity to be able to fight the virus during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on this, sports activities are needed to invite people to maintain their physical health through healthy exercise activities which are held aimed at increasing people's interest in exercising during the Covid-19 pandemic during new normal so that their body endurance is better. This community service (PKM) is a form of real work from the Hamzanwadi University Physical Education and Health Study Program for the people of South Pringgasela Village to participate in healthy gymnastics as an effort to prevent Covid-19. Healthy gymnastics activities can increase public awareness of the importance of maintaining health in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah masih rendahnya VO2MAX, kesehatan mental dan fisik atlet futsal. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat olahraga joging terhadap VO2MAXI, kesehatan mental dan fisik atlet futsal. Populasi dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah para pemuda berjumlah 14 orang yang diambil dari populasi sehingga tehnik sampling yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah tehnik sampling jenuh. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bersifat eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t tentang kemampuan VO2MAX, kesehatan mental dan fisik dapat diperoleh nilai t observasi sebesar 8,880 lebih besar dari nilai t-tabel 2,069 dengan taraf signifikan 5%, berarti ada dampak yang signifikikan sebelum dan sesudah ada perlakuan. Untuk membuktikan peningkatan kemampuan VO2MAX, kesehatan mental dan fisik dibuktikan dengan nilai pre-test dan pos-test 465,1 : 493,2 dengan hasil tersebut menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata 28,1 setelah perlakuan manfaat olahraga joging terhadap VO2MAX, kesehatan mental dan fisik atlet futsal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Program Berugak Belajar guna meningkatkan kemampuan literasi peserta didik di SD Negeri 3 Masbagik Utara, khususnya bagi siswa kelas 4, 5, dan 6 yang mengalami kesulitan dalam literasi membaca. Program ini dilaksanakan pada setiap jam istirahat, dimulai pada 3 Oktober hingga 12 November 2024, dengan kegiatan yang dilakukan di berugak Posko KKN Kelompok 53 di Dusun Repok dan ruang mahasiswa asistensi di SD Negeri 3 Masbagik Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles and Huberman yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Program Berugak Belajar efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi siswa, terutama dalam membaca. Siswa menunjukkan peningkatan minat dan kepercayaan diri dalam membaca serta mampu memahami materi bacaan dengan lebih baik setelah mengikuti program. Program ini juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam berdiskusi dan berbagi pemahaman tentang bacaan. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan cuaca, program ini berhasil mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, disarankan agar program literasi berbasis lingkungan yang menyenangkan dan non-formal seperti Program Berugak Belajar diteruskan dan diperluas di sekolah-sekolah dasar lainnya.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PBL) merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang menekankan pada pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang nyata dan kompleks, pendekatan pembelajaran yang berfokus pada pengalaman praktis siswa melalui penyelesaian proyek yang relevan dengan dunia nyata yang mendorong siswa untuk aktif berpartisipasi dalam proses belajar. Project-Based Learning (PBL) memungkinkan siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad 21 seperti kreativitas, kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan pemecahan masalah Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efektivitas Project-Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi siswa di berbagai bidang pada SMA YADINU MASBAGIK, serta memberikan wawasan baru mengenai penerapan Project-Based Learning (PBL) dalam konteks pendidikan abad 21. Data yang dikumpulkan berasal dari berbagai penelitian yang ada, serta studi kasus yang menunjukkan dampak positif Project-Based Learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan siswa di SMA YADINU MASBAGIK abad 21, termasuk kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Artikel ini mengkaji efektivitas Project-Based Learning (PBL)  dalam meningkatkan kompetensi siswa di berbagai bidang, termasuk keterampilan akademik dan non-akademik, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penerapannya. Dengan menganalisis studi kasus, penelitian ini menyoroti kebaruan dalam penggunaan teknologi digital, penerapan di negara berkembang, dan pengembangan keterampilan siswa abad 21 melalui Project-Based Learning (PBL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun Project-Based Learning (PBL) memberikan dampak positif dalam pengembangan keterampilan siswa, terdapat tantangan terkait sumber daya dan kesiapan guru yang perlu diperhatikan untuk implementasi yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of decline push-up training on arm muscle power and straight punch frequency in athletes from the PSHT Tumbuh Mulia pencak silat school in Suralaga District. The method used was an experimental pre-test and post-test design on 20 athletes, where measurements were taken before and after decline push-up training for 14 sessions. The results showed a significant effect of decline push-up training on increasing arm muscle power and straight punch frequency, with the calculated t-value greater than the t-table (18.132 > 2.093) and (13.080 > 2.093). The conclusion is that decline push-up training effectively increases arm muscle strength, which influences the quality of straight punches.   Keywords: Decline Push-Up, Pencak Silat, Arm Muscle Power, Straight Punch

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities generally experience difficulties with hand-eye coordination due to intellectual dysfunction and delayed motor development. This study aimed to determine the effect of practicing throwing a ball into a basket and throwing and catching a ball against a wall on the hand-eye coordination of students with intellectual disabilities. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 12 students with mild intellectual disabilities divided into an experimental group (n=6) and a control group (n=6). The experimental group received training for 4 weeks (twice a week, 60 minutes per session), while the control group participated in regular physical education classes. The instrument used was a ball-throwing and catching test with a maximum score of 10. Data analysis utilized paired t-tests and independent t-tests (α=0.05). The results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental group (p=0.001) with a very large effect size (Cohen’s d=2.05), whereas the control group showed no significant improvement (p=0.245). The independent t-test showed a significant difference between the two groups (p=0.004). In conclusion, ball-throwing-into-a-basket and wall-throw-and-catch exercises effectively improve hand-eye coordination in children with mild intellectual disabilities and are recommended for integration into adaptive physical education instruction.
