Abstract

Efforts to reduce the prevalence of wasting and stunting are urgently needed. Research on differences in nutritional status and growth of toddlers based on gender and weight can provide important insights into how nutrition interventions and health policies can be tailored to meet the specific needs of these groups. Several studies have shown that boys and girls may have different nutritional needs and may experience different growth rates. In addition, each stage of toddler age also has unique growth characteristics and nutritional needs.This study used a comparative analytical design with a cross-sectional approach. This design was chosen to evaluate differences in nutritional status and growth of toddlers based on gender and weight at a certain time. The population in this study were all children aged 13-59 months at TAUD Al Hanif in 2023. The sample of this study was taken from the population using a stratified random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a digital scale instrument, staturemeter, and questionnaire form. The measurement results showed that there were significant differences between the nutritional status of toddlers based on weight and gender as evidenced by the value (p <0.05). Toddlers with normal weight tend to have better nutritional status, while toddlers who are underweight or overweight need special attention. Male toddlers are more likely to have good nutritional status than female toddlers, which may be due to differences in nutritional needs and socio-cultural factors. Appropriate nutritional interventions need to be carried out to ensure that all toddlers, both boys and girls, receive adequate nutrition for optimal growth and development.

Abstract

Premature birth is identified as the most significant contributor to infant mortality. The weight of a newborn baby is determined by nutritional status at the time of conception. Pregnant women who are malnourished and experience physical weakness will endanger the mother's life and threaten the safety of the fetuce. LBW can be caused by anemia, inadherence to antenatal care, mothers with chronic diseases and smoking. This study aimed to determine the influence of hemoglobin levels and nutritional status of first-trimester pregnant women with low birth weight events. This type of quantitative research is a retrospective design. The population are mothers who gave birth at the Kabuh Community Health Center, Jombang Regency, in April 2019 obtained a sample of 39 respondents using a purposive sampling, with inclusion criteria birthing mothers have a KIA book. The data were analyzed using logistic regression. The results showed that almost all (79.5%) 31 pregnant women were not anaemic, almost all (84.6%) 33 pregnant women had normal nutritional status and almost all (76.9) babies were born with average weight, namely 30 respondents. There is a relationship between Hemoglobin  levels in pregnant women and the incidence of LBW with a value of p = 0.000. There is a relationship between the nutritional status of pregnant women and the incidence of LBW with a value of p = 0.000. The most dominant factor is Hb levels (p=0.001 exp B:30) Pregnant women are anaemic, one of the factors causing poor nutritional status. Nutritional status lacks calorie energy, inhibiting the fetus's nutritional intake, resulting in premature labour or disruption of fetal growth.

Abstract

Masalah Kesehatan Remaja merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang membutuhkan perhatian khusus. Masa remaja dianggap sebagai masa yang paling sehat secara fisik, namun paling "rawan" secara psikologis dan sosial yang dapat memberi dampak pada kesehatan fisiknya. Dalam kaitannya dengan pelayanan kesehatan pada remaja, diperlukan suatu pendekatan yang lebih bersifat bermuatan edukatif untuk bimbingan ke arah pola perilaku sehat. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu peningkatan kesehaan remaja melalui pembentukan pojok kesehatan  di 5 dusun yang berada di  desa Carangwulung,Wonosalam Kabupaten Jombang . Kegiatan Pojok Kesehatan di dalam Program PEKMASPEND (Peningkatan Kreativitas Masyarakat dalam mengembangkan Pendidikan) Berbasis Smart Village yang diselenggarakan oleh Abdimas Stikes Pemkab Jombang bisa berjalan lancar dan memuaskan. Hampir semua peserta sasaran yaitu anak usia 7-12 tahun sangat antusias dan merasakan manfaatnya mulai dari materi Anemia, Gizi seimbang yang diselengi dengan cek kesehatan, dan kesehatan reproduksi, terbukti dari kehadiran, keaktifan dalam bertanya maupun menjawab pertanyaan. Menggunakan metode ceramah dengan teknik Pemaparan materi atau dikenal dengan istilah presentasi, menggunakan media Leaflet, Poster, Buku cerita, Kartu cek kesehatan yang akan digunakan untuk penimbangan berat badan dan pengukuran tinggi badan, serta 20 Lembar soal, yang berisikan 20 pertanyaan, evaluasi Game Ular tangga yang berisikan pertanyaan mengenai materi, dilanjutkan dengan evaluasi. Simpulannya pendampingan kesehatan diperlukan untuk mengawal siswa siswi dalam mencapai derajat kesehatan yang optimal.
