Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang komunikasi Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (KOMINFO) Kabupaten Sijunjung dalam penanganan Pandemi Covid-19 di Kabupaten Sijunjung dengan melihat bagaimana komunikasi yang dilakukan Dinas KOMINFO dalam menangani pandemi Covid-19.Penelitian ini menggunakan model komunikasi krisis CERC (Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication) dari Centers for Disease Control (CDC)yang dibagi kedalam beberapa Fase dalam Crisis Communication Lifecycle.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif.Penetapan informan pada penelitian ini menggunakan mekanisme purposive dengan menetapkan kriteria informan.Informan pelaku pada penelitian ini adalah Dinas KOMINFO Kabupaten Sijunjung.Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi.Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis Miles dan Huberman yaitu kodifikasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan /verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu komunikasi Dinas KOMINFO Kabupaten Sijunjung dalam penanganan pandemi virus Covid-19 dilakukan dalam Fase Pra Krisis (Pre-Crisis Phase), Fase Awal Krisis (Initial Phase), Menjaga Krisis (Crisis Maintenance). Sedangkan untuk Resolusi (Resolution) dan Evaluasi (Evaluation) belum dilakukan karena pada saat ini krisis pandemi virus Covid-19 masih berlangsung di Kabupaten Sijunjung. Sarana atau media komunikasi yang digunakan yaitu website, Radio, Konferensi Pers, Media Cetak dan online, Media Sosial (Youtube, Facebook, Instagram), dan pelibatan Tokoh Masyarakat sebagai komunikator yaitu Ketua Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Kabupaten Sijunjung

Abstract

This final assignment aims to describe and understand the importance of the role of public speaking reporters in creating English reportage video content for broadcasting as well as their ability to speak English, especially in the field of broadcasting. Public speaking is related and closely related to a reporter. Public speaking is the art of speaking and processing words in front of a large audience. Public speaking comes from two words, namely "public" which means general, public, society and "talk" which means to talk. A reporter must have the ability to do public speaking because one of his activities is conveying messages and information to the public so that the choice of language and processing of words must be paid attention to so that the content of the message can be conveyed and understood. The theory used in this final assignment is Aristotle's Rhetoric Theory. In his book "Rhetoric" Aristotle put forward the meaning of rhetoric, namely the ability to choose and use language in certain situations effectively to persuade other people. This theory is related to the final task of making a video reportage because in this video, a reporter must have the ability to do public speaking because one of the information activities is conveying messages to the public so the choice of language and processing of words must be conveyed effectively. The results of this final assignment report discuss how important the role of public speaking reporters is in creating English reportage video content for broadcasting as well as their ability to speak English, especially in the field of broadcasting. Especially in the world of journalism and broadcasting, if you use English it will reach and cover a wide area and have various other benefits. Therefore, we must continue to hone our skills in public speaking and English because this is one of the assets for getting great opportunities and opportunities in various fields of life.

Abstract

Delinquency in students occurs because the condition of students is still unstable or in the process of searching for their identity. Apart from that, student delinquency can also be influenced by their environment, whether from family, friendship or community environment. With communication between teachers and students who have problems, they will experience their own satisfaction and experience catharsis (the release of the underlying problem with relief and understanding of the problem). But in helping to solve student problems, guidance and counseling teachers need various ways to find out the real problem, and to be able to provide students with an understanding that the student is having problems. Therefore, interpersonal communication strategies are really needed so that students who have problems can express something hidden beneath their self-awareness, beneath their abilities and beneath their feelings. Interpersonal communication strategies themselves have a big influence in changing bad student attitudes. Because face to face or individually, the teacher will know better the reasons why the student committed the act, making it easier for the teacher to find a solution or eliminate the student's bad behavior. Communication is an important aspect of human life, communication is divided into several types of communication, including: interpersonal communication and group communication. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach and uses Social Penetration theory. The results of this research explain the interpersonal communication strategies of guidance and counseling teachers in handling delinquency students at SMK Negeri 8 Padang with full empathy, understanding, openness and good relationships with students.

Abstract

The Communication Process is a set of rules and stages in conveying information so that the message meets the target. Communication is one of the most important efforts in making policies and regulations as well as efforts to prevent illegal levies that occur on Padang Beach. The prevention efforts carried out by the Padang POLRESTA in dealing with cases of illegal levies (PUNGLI) which continuously occur along the Padang coast are a rule and a form of method or policy that is carried out to direct energy and thoughts to achieve a goal. The case of illegal levies has been one of the cases that has been quite difficult to handle from the past until now, this is because there have not been any witnesses who can incriminate the perpetrator enough to feel the deterrent effect of the act committed. In this prevention effort, the Padang POLRESTA is the main person responsible for the Padang City Government, assisted by the Satpol PP when there are field raid activities. Efforts were made such as raising awareness about the prohibition of illegal levies (PUNGLI) both in print and online media and also carried out directly by car using TOA as a loudspeaker to inform about the prohibition of illegal levies (PUNGLI). This direct appeal was made along the Padang coast because apart from providing information on the prohibition of illegal levies (PUNGLI), it also educated the public. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach and uses Joseph Devito's theory. The results of this research are to see how the communication process is carried out by the Padang POLRESTA in an effort to prevent extortion cases that occur on Padang Beach to increase the transparency of public services.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the use of clickbait in news titles in Tribun Padang's online media without violating the journalistic code of ethics but being able to attract audiences to read the news presented by Tribun Padang's online media. The data is in the form of title sentences that publish certain criteria that are appropriate to the reasearch problem. This reasearch uses mass communication theory. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research with a case study type of research. Data was collected by interviewing sources. Data analysis uses collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that in general the use of clickbait titles is wideley uses on the subjects of celebrities, lifestyle, entertainment, health and others. The use of clickbait provides benefits to the media throughtthe number of visitor or reader traffic. The reader’s response is positive because it matches the reader’s expectations when clicking on the news title that uses the clickbait. The main purpose of using clickbait titles is to increase reader visits.

Abstract

This Final Project Report is an application of project-based curriculum or other forms compiled based on the author's experience while making projects at Akal Production company as an event organizer located in Padang City. While in the company, the author created a unique event project that has never existed in Padang City, namely an interactive museum that emphasizes visual creativity. Loal Museum is a project idea created so that the citizens of Padang have a new place of art, entertainment and recreation. The event was held for 1 full month located in Fabriec Block, Parupuk Tabing. This event carries the theme Galaxy Pop Art by using the #MagicExperienceOfLoal campaign. Loal Museum has several rides whose purpose is to provide direct experience to visitors. In addition, the author who is part of Akal Production as Chief Of Admin and Social Media to manage the promotion of this event so that it has many enthusiasts and visitors who come every day of the month. This Experiental Marketing strategy is carried out through TikTok and Instagram social media. This strategy is used to create an interesting experience to make this event viral and known by many people is through TikTok social media. Through the experiental marketing strategy, many visitors come through their curiosity and experience firsthand the experiences that many other visitors have felt. The obstacle that the author faced when running thisLoal Musem project was the many communication errors that occurred.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how to use social media influencers to improve the brand image of Mie Uda Bro Padang, both by determining influencers and the criteria for influencers that will be used so that the target to be achieved from using influencers in promoting products can be achieved in accordance with the specified targets. In describing this research, the researcher uses celebrity endorser theory. In this theory, it is explained that endorsers consist of five attributes which are described with the abbreviation TEARS, where TEARS are Trustworthiness, Expertise, Physical attractiveness, Respect, Similarity. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, this is because this type of research is collected in the form of words, images, not numbers. Mie Udabro has criteria in determining which influencers to use in promoting their products on social media. The criteria determined also aim to ensure that the results obtained after advertising products through social media influencers are also beneficial for service users such as increasing the number of consumers, increasing the number of followers on social media, as well as to achieve sales targets.When carrying out promotions using Influencers, mie Udabro has criteria for determining which influencer services to use. And in determining the influencer criteria used by Mie Udabro, they have applied the influencer criteria explained.

Abstract

Web series or web series are short series video shows, can be in the form of series films, tutorials, news information, tips, tricks, and so on that are made specifically for online consumption. Currently, there is a lot of entertainment in the form of videos that can be found in the internet world, including YouTube. Behind the production of web series, of course, it is inseparable from many workers who are able to unite their creative minds to produce a web series. So, the author carries out the Final Project of this web series as a producer. The producer is the person who is responsible and leads the process of creating a web series, from the pre-production stage, the production stage to the post-production stage. At the time of preparation, the producer manages all planning from determining the schedule, organizing the team, finance, managing the time and as a source of information. During production, the producer supervises the shooting so that the production is in accordance with the plan as well as a decision maker when there are problems outside of planning. During post-production, the producer will oversee the editing process with the director. To become a producer is not only a person who has money for film production funding, because if so, people who have money can become producers And the producer's role in the production of the web series or web series "Gara-Gara Gadget" uses the De Fleur communication model. This model describes the source, transmitter, receiver, and destination as separate phases in the mass communication process, similar to the phases Schramm describes.

Abstract

This final project is prepared based on the author's experience during the production of a movie entitled "Sabda Rindu". During the pre-production and filming process, the author served as a script writer. The main task of a script writer is to write scripts and develop ideas and adapt a story in the form of a narrative with the aim that the message to be conveyed from a film can be conveyed properly through a dialog or scenario. This film production activity aims to improve the author's ability to communicate, add relationships and be able to apply the knowledge learned during college so as to get a picture of the world of work later. While carrying out film production activities, the author has observed and felt for himself how the process of making a script into a film work. Starting from selecting the storyline, writing dialog to auditioning the selection of roles that are deemed suitable to play the film. So that what is visualized by the script writer can be realized properly by the production team. So that in its application, good communication is needed between the script writer and the team in order to establish good cooperation.Interpersonal communication theory is the process of sending and receiving messages with the aim of getting feedback and reactions so that the message to be conveyed can influence behavior between two or more people. Movies are not only entertainment media, but through movies it is hoped that people can also take moral messages from the movie's story in the real world.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the main motives driving students at Dharma Andalas University to use fake accounts on their Instagram social media. This research is conducted due to the prevalent phenomenon where an Instagram user has more than one account with various reasons supporting their possession of these accounts. On these secondary accounts, users often use pseudonyms, false addresses, and significantly different information, which can be categorized as fake accounts. The theory used in this research is Alfred Schutz's Phenomenology theory, which explains how to understand the social actions of an individual or a group. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. This method aims to capture the meaning of human life experiences about a phenomenon to further understand the structure of consciousness in human social experiences. Informant selection for the study used purposive sampling techniques as conveyed by Creswell (2018), requiring 3-10 research subjects with certain criteria. The results of this study identified various causes and purposes that become the main motives for students to have fake accounts on Instagram, whether due to the environment or experiences while using Instagram, or for the purpose of easier self-expression or supporting activities. With all the challenges of using Instagram, which has a vast network, it is hoped that users can remain wise when using Instagram or other social media to protect their privacy and that of others.
