Abstract

The Ratio of Gross Participation Rate of Education is a very important role holder in the development of the nation and state, because that's where the intelligence and ability and even the character of the nation in the future is determined by education at this time. This study discusses the grouping of the number of ratios of gross participation rates by province in Indonesia. The method used is datamining with the K-means clustering algorithm. Using this method the data obtained can be grouped into 3 clusters. This study uses secondary data that is data obtained through intermediary media recorded on the website of the central statistics agency with the url address: http://www.bps.go.id. The results obtained in this study are the grouping of the ratio of gross participation rates of education grouped into 3 clusters, namely the highest cluster and the lowest cluster. In this study is expected to provide input to the relevant government, in order to pay more attention to the provinces that are included in the lowest cluster to overcome the level of quality of universities

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to make a ranking of high achieving students in the tenth grade at Simalungun MAN School. In this study, researchers used a Decision Support System, using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Method. From the data of student grades, all tenth graders of MAN Simalungun obtained student scores that have not yet reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). To assess student achievement not only from semester exam scores, grades in other fields can also be considered by teachers in assessing students. In the assessment can be taken from everyday values and also student absences. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide input to the school, especially teachers to pay more attention to students who are weak in the learning process. So students are motivated and can improve achievement at school

Abstract

Penguasaan seorang siswa/i terhadap sebuah mata pelajaran sangat mempengaruhi pemberian nilai yang dilakukan oleh pengajar yang bersangkutan. Perlunya pengajar atau guru memantau setiap nilai dari siswa/i yang diajarkan ilmu pengetahuan pada bidangnya masing-masing. Dengan perkembangan teknologi yang sangat cepat, sangat membantu pengajar dalam mengetahui atau memprediksi nilai yang akan didapatkan siswa/i terkait. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan kinerja jaringan syaraf tiruan algoritma backpropagation dalam memprediksi nilai siswa/i sekolah menengah atas dengan berbagai model dan meminimalkan error nya. Pada penelitian ini penulis menggunakan data nilai siswa/i sekolah menengah atas negeri 1 sidamanik. Dalam pengolahan data nilai, penulis menggunakan jaringan syaraf tiruan dengan algoritma backpropagation sebagai langkah-langkah logis untuk melakukan prediksi nilai ujian nasional siswa/i sekolah menengah atas. Pokok permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah terjadinya penurunan nilai ujian nasional siswa/i dibeberapa mata pelajaran, yang kedepannya siswa/i akan mengalamin kesulitan dalam mencapai universitas atau sekolah tinggi yang diinginkan. Abstract

This research is based on the urgency of utilizing technology in education, which has now become a necessity rather than relying on traditional methods that are still widely used in teaching information systems students. In the context of using English as a global communication tool in the digital era, conventional teaching approaches are considered less effective in keeping up with the rapid development of information. Therefore, this study explores the implication of Artificial Intelligence (AI) based learning media in improving students’ speaking skills through Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa. The research employs a qualitative –descriptive method involving fourth-semester students who actively use AI-powered mobile applications, such as speech recognition and virtual conversation tools. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observations to captured students’ perspectives on the effectiveness, accessibility, and challenges of using AI in language learning. Findings reveal that most students perceive AI-based media as motivating and helpful in enhancing pronunciation, fluency and confidence. Additionally , this study provides insights into the sociolinguistic evolution of language use by examining how students interact with technological advancements and adapt to global communication demands. The results suggest that AI-integrated MALL can significantly support speaking skill development and create a more personalized, effective, and engaging learning environment.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan lectora inspire berbasis metode problem solving pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana kelas VIII,  mengetahui kelayakan serta respon dari pendidik dan peserta didik. Metode Penelitian ini R and D yang mengadopsi pengembangan dari Borg and Gall. Penelitian ini dilakukan di tiga sekolah yaitu  SMP Islam El-Syihab, SMP Tirtayasa, dan MTS Darul Huda di Bandar Lampung. Sehingga didapatkan hasil  media pembelajaran interaktif menggunakan lectora inspire berbasis metode problem solving pada materi usaha dan pesawat sederhana kelas VIII dengan kelayakan media sangat layak dengan persentase 81% berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, dan ahli media 95% dengan kriteria sangat layak dhingga tahap akhir setelah perbaikan dan memanarikan  dengan persentase 97%  dan respon siswa 88,28% dengan kriteria sangat layakPengembangan Media Pembelajaran Interaktif Berbasis Problem Solving Menggunakan Lectora Inspire

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology, especially in the field of education, requires all students to be more creative. Students can utilize technology-based learning media, one of which is the Canva application. Canva is an online-based application that provides attractive designs in the form of templates, features, and categories provided in it. This community service aims to increase students' creativity. The form of community service activities is in the form of socialization with material presentation using lecture methods, QA and direct practice. The students who participated in this training were very enthusiastic and were able to apply the material and practice directly. This activity also involved the participation of lecturers and students of STKOM Tunas Bangsa, as well as the principal and teachers. It is hoped that this community service activity can have a positive impact on students and encourage the development of students' creativity in a sustainable manner.ABSTRAKPerkembangan teknologi digital yang sangat pesat, khususnya dibidang pendidikan menuntut semua siswa-siswi harus lebih kreatif.  Siswa-siswi dapat memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi salah satunya adalah aplikasi Canva. Canva merupakan aplikasi berbasis online yang menyediakan desain menarik berupa template, fitur-fitur, kategori-kategori yang diberikan di dalamnya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kreatifitas siswa-siswi SMKS Yapim Taruna Bandar. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdiannya berupa sosialisasi dengan pemaparan materi menggunakan metode ceramah, Tanya jawab dan langsung praktik. Siswa-siswi yang ikut pelatihan ini sangat antusias tinggi dan dapat mengaplikasikan materi dan langsung bisa praktek. Kegiatan ini juga melibatkan peran serta dosen dan mahasiswa STIKOM Tunas Bangsa, serta kepala sekolah dan guru.  Diharapkan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa-siswi serta mendorong pengembangan kreativitas siswa-siswi secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Critical thinking is the ability to analyze information objectively and logically, forming reasoned judgements. It is one of very necessary skills to traine to second semester students of Stikom Tunas Bangsa in the afternoon session class. Research-based learning (RBL) presents as an alternative learning model that can develop the critical thinking skills. This study aims at describing the effect of the implementation to the research-based learning (RBL) to develop fourth semester students’ critical thinking skills. Qualitative approach was used in the classroon research. The participants in this study consisted of 106 students. Data were collected using observation and test. The results of the research indicate that the implementation research-based learning (RBL) can develop critical thinking skills. It is proved by the fact that the students were able to show their interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference and explanation abilities. Meanwhile, aspect of self-regulation ability has not yet been able to be found. This research were used to make more sure previous research that implementation of the RBL can improve the quality learning process and make positive changes for the students in the intellectual and emotional. This research provides a different learning experience which can develop critical thinking skill.
